Void of Course Dates this Month

On November 5th, a Full Moon occurs in the sign of Taurus, awakening an urgent interest in the physical world and our own sensual needs and desires. The Moon in Taurus guides us to seek emotional fulfillment through the simple, tangible things in life, while the Scorpio Sun draws our attention to complexities, intangibles, and mysteries. The Full Moon reveals the conflict between form and transformation, as well as between collecting and sharing.
We should be mindful of stubbornness at this time, while also recognizing that a healthy dose of self-interest is not only necessary but also empowering. It’s a time to embrace our needs for comfort and predictability, and to connect with issues in our lives surrounding money, personal income, valuables, and self-worth as we boost our self-awareness. Read more about this Full Moon on its calendar page.
On November 7th, retrograde Uranus returns to the sign of Taurus, and will finish up its transit of Taurus by April 25th, 2026. Uranus turned retrograde while still in the sign of Gemini on September 6th, 2025. Now, while still retrograde, Uranus returns to the sign of Taurus–its last visit before moving on. On February 3rd, 2026, Uranus will end its retrograde and turn direct. Read more about this transit on its calendar page.
Mercury is retrograde from November 9th to 29th. Mercury turns retrograde in the sign of Sagittarius on the 9th and will remain retrograde until the 29th. Mercury is retrograde from November 9th to 18th in the sign of Sagittarius, when it returns to the sign of Scorpio.
This retrograde cycle, while in Sagittarius, is strong for reviewing our beliefs, ideas, sense of adventure, spirit, publishing pursuits, and educational goals. We look at projects, items, situations, problems, and even people in new ways. There can be information clogs that push this new perspective–as we wait, we become more resourceful and creative!
During this retrograde cycle, we may reconsider a long-term dream or vision of our future, and it’s a strong period for revisiting an old study, writing project, or personal interest. This can be a time of scattered thoughts and mental disarray, however. The tactlessness of Mercury in Sagittarius magnifies, making it necessary to be especially careful with our choice of wording and topics. The chances of being misinterpreted and missing deadlines or appointments run higher than usual, even more so than with other Mercury retrograde cycles.
With Mercury retrograde in Scorpio in the second part of the retrograde cycle, from the 18th to the 29th, good energy is with us for getting in touch with our instincts, motivations, and “dark” side. Now is the time to explore our more intimate and emotional natures and consider how these affect our decision-making processes. An increased sensitivity or emotional radar is likely. We should be mindful not to fall into a paranoid frame of mind or read too much negativity into what others say, however. In a general sense, retrograde Mercury periods send us to the past for more or previously hidden information. They’re cycles for learning to let go of control, and for thinking about issues in a brand new way. Read more about this transit on its calendar page.
On the 11th, Jupiter stations and turns retrograde in the sign of Cancer, and will remain retrograde until March 10th, 2026. Slowing down projects or plans may be appropriate in order to gain perspective. Initially, our enthusiasm and confidence might wane, and we may experience a crisis of faith or hope. “Luck” may be less overt during this period from November 11th to March 10th, but it’s a good time for looking within and reassessing recent goals. Recognizing areas of excess or extravagance can help us. We may need to slow down specific endeavors if they’ve been moving too quickly, or this happens organically. Note that Jupiter spends its retrograde in the sign of Cancer. Read more about Jupiter turning retrograde on its calendar page.
On November 20th, the New Moon in Scorpio prompts a new beginning and encourages us to move out of our comfort zone to welcome new ways to live, heal, and transform. It’s a time to take a good look at what we may have chosen to sweep under the carpet. Making room to understand others’ motives can enrich our feelings of intimacy, forgiveness, and sense of meaning. We might want to use this cycle to focus on and develop one special project or relationship, helping to add purposefulness and depth to our lives. Intimate relationships need a brand new approach, and we can see this more clearly in the days following this New Moon.
This New Moon closely aligns with retrograde Mercury, making it challenging to see our path, but our discomfort with the past can be very real now, motivating us to seek new beginnings. With its opposition to Uranus, we should be mindful of potential prematurity and abrupt changes or rebellious tendencies. However, it can also be a courageous and proactive time. The desire to change and improve our lives is a powerful motivator. This New Moon engages with many planets and major bodies, also drawing in the support of Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, and Pluto. Read more about this New Moon on its calendar page.
Also on November 20th, Uranus forms a sextile with Neptune. This is the first of five in this set (as with many outer-planet transits, this aspect repeats multiple times over the course of many months). During the period influenced by this outer-planet transit with its longer-term effects, we’re seeking (and finding) illumination. It’s a time of more openness to alternative ways of living, believing, and expression. We’re receptive to different or unusual experiences and ideas.
At the same time, we’re averse to any form of force-feeding spirituality or belief systems, preferring our freedom to follow our intuition. It’s a time to reform and update how we express compassion, care for the underprivileged, pursue our dreams, seek escapes, and do art and creativity. However, we can also be more sensitive to stimulants. Read more about this transit on its calendar page.
On the 27th, Saturn stations and turns direct in the sign of Pisces, ending its retrograde since July 13th. This change of direction serves as a strong reminder to take care of our responsibilities and bring our goals down to earth. With Saturn’s direct turn, our responsibilities, and perhaps our limitations, magnify. Gradually, our longer-term goals and plans become clearer. Note that this is the final leg of the Saturn in Pisces transit–on February 13th, it moves on to Aries. Read more about Jupiter turning retrograde on its calendar page.

Scorpio
In many ways, November is a power month for you, dear Scorpio, although you will be doing some reassessing of projects and plans before pushing forward. The month is more about you personally than it is about your professional life, which may take a backseat temporarily. Personal and money goals are in high focus. For the first three weeks of November, you have personal presence and power, but you may be somewhat difficult to get in touch with on certain levels. Whether this translates as being a little hard to get, withdrawn, or aloof, it’s a time for looking behind you so that you can better see your next step forward. Your affectionate nature is a little withdrawn, pensive, and more private than usual until the 6th, after which Venus visits your sign, bringing attention your way. While the Sun is in your sign until the 21st, and Jupiter is in harmony, Jupiter turns retrograde on the 11th and Mercury on the 9th. So, you’re certainly called to action and in the spotlight, but it's also important to take some time to reflect, withdraw, reconsider, and review things. Helping you wind down from some of the chaos is Mars leaving your sign on the 4th, encouraging you to pace yourself. While Mars leaves your sign on the 4th, Venus enters it on the 6th, and this serves to pull out and highlight your natural grace. If you want others to see things from your perspective, this is a good time, even if it’s only the first stage in the process of sharing yourself with someone. Your personal magnetism and attractiveness increase impressively. You are warmer and more approachable. While it’s not always the case, your ability to open yourself up to others seems to be directly proportional to the opportunities that open up to you this month. While you continue to experience a desire to venture out and discover new things, Jupiter’s retrograde period from the 11th until can signal some natural tempering of your enthusiasm. You may need to downplay some adventurous, pleasure-seeking activities, but in the process, your expectations come back to earth, which is empowering. Mercury is retrograde from the 9th to the 29th, returning to your sign on the 18th. Mercury turns direct on the 29th and will continue to transit your sign until December 11th. While Mercury’s retrograde from the 9-29 does add something to the hectic quality of the month, it’s also encouraging you to slow down! You may be in a cautious frame of mind. Avoid pushing matters. Consider whether certain decisions need to be made just yet. You may want to revisit recent decisions, and certain projects may require a second look. Look more closely at what’s on the inside and align your outer goals to better reflect what you feel and what you’ve become in the last year. Finances need a second look. There is a theme with money and business this month that involves looking to past projects for inspiration. You’ll have to take a new approach to these ventures or ideas after dusting them off, but they can be true gems. The Full Moon on the 5th may bring with it a surprising revelation, or a close relationship can begin, blossom, or demand your attention. Your independent side has been prominent recently, and while it’s not letting up, you are softening rough edges. Nevertheless, you are still fighting for your rights and demanding a show of respect. This Full Moon has an eyes-wide-open effect on your partnership or feelings for someone. The New Moon on the 20th is all about you and presenting a new look, image, or more authentic version of “you” to others. Yes, you’re still reflecting and considering your next step, but you have more power than usual to take charge and to make an impact in the days after this lunation. This is a time for a new beginning of sorts. It’s likely to cause a few ripples on the relationship front, but it’s also a good time for making decisions to start fresh. You’re more visible and personally magnetic, and while it’s a good time to ride this energy, you are inclined to withdraw a little. You’re still attracting attention, and you have increased energy or motivation to bring about needed changes in your life. Something may need to go for you to move forward with less baggage and more confidence. It's a powerful time for the very beginning of new ideas, particularly related to personality and image. The month ends with Saturn's direct turn, Mercury turning direct in your sign, and Venus ending its transit of Scorpio. It's an excellent time to be determined to enjoy the moment. The weeks ahead are favorable for matters related to money and comfort, as well as handling business with a creative and warm approach. Ultimately, shifts occurring now clarify your feelings, relationships, projects, and ventures. It’s more natural to recognize what’s genuinely doable. Don’t be surprised if you experience strong instincts to zero in on particular goals and projects, as it’s an excellent time to cut out the fluff. |
Sagittarius
November brings an interesting mix of energies to your life, dear Sagittarius, even if it's sometimes complicated. You can sometimes feel you're in the driver's seat, and other times you're not sure who's in charge. You are hosting all of the personal planets (the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars) in your sign at various points this month, and this increases your independence and power, but at times, you could feel a little alone with your decisions. You’re not exactly putting everything on hold, but you’re called to take more time for yourself to recharge. Mercury in your sign quickens your mental energies, favoring any task that involves getting your point across effectively! From the 9th forward, though, it’s time to slow down on a mental level. Edit, refine, reflect, and refocus. Allow time for your heart to catch up before moving projects forward. Chances are good that they can wait. There is a need to nourish both the inner and outer life now, and you tend to see people as the means to feed your well while Venus continues its transit of your social sector until the 6th. After this date, quieter moments are more appealing. Love and relationships tend to be under the radar or, in some manner, undecided or up in the air. Venus enters your sign only on the last day of the month, and at that time, you'll feel clearer on a heart level. An example of some flip-flopping this month: Mars enters your sign on the 4th, and then Mercury, already transiting Sagittarius, stations and turns retrograde on the 9th, meeting up with Mars on the 12th. This brings a challenging dynamic — while you should probably watch for talking ahead of yourself about things you are not quite sure about, this can be a time, through trial and error, to find a better pace for your life. About Mars in your sign from the 4th, it brings creative and romantic energy to your world, as well as increased charisma, courage, energy, and confidence to pursue your goals, although you may not be entirely clear about which direction to head until after the Sun enters your sign on the 21st. You can be seeking out more rest and privacy in November, all the while, as stimulating dramas seem to be playing out around you. There is no shortage of things to do – it is more about your ability to pick and choose. The Full Moon on the 5th can heighten your awareness of a work or health matter, and the days following it may involve some sorting and adjustments as new information comes to light. Emotions can run high, and you might worry a little more than is healthy. But this can also point to a peak if you handle it well. Even so, Mercury begins its retrograde in your sign on the 9th, prompting a few more weeks in which you may need to reevaluate recent projects. Your planetary ruler, Jupiter, turns retrograde shortly after: on the 11th. Perhaps the greatest challenge of the month is gaining others' understanding. People may not be "getting" you for now. You are assertive and friendly on the one hand, but a little secretive, aloof, and hard to read on the other. You are taking a temporary break from competitive energies and ambitions. They're not exactly on hold, but you are taking more time to think about what it is you want. Still, you have tremendous energy on your side from the 4th onward. Tone down your manner, if you can, for maximum success this month. If others are misunderstanding you in the second half of the month, you may very well find new ways of expressing yourself that not only work but also are satisfying. You're resourceful and enthusiastic. The New Moon on the 20th brings a strong charge of energy to end your solar year well—by putting negativity behind you and focusing on new goals. The Sun moves into your sign just a day after the New Moon, on the 21st, and while you receive extra attention, you’re nevertheless still feeling hesitant about throwing yourself into new situations. The Sun in your sign is exciting, however, and you're gearing up to start fresh. Saturn's direct turn on the 27th is strong for home and family life, and it's also good news financially, as things are unsticking and moving along well in these life departments from that date forward. Efforts to improve family life, particularly on the level of structure and order, resume full force now. It’s a powerful time for organizing your things. It’s also a time when you’re coming into your own, seeking out more from life, but also asking what you can do to make life more rewarding. Mercury’s direct motion from the 29th helps clear a few things up, even if you still have some thinking and adjusting to do. Mercury will return to your sign on December 11th, and you'll be moving ahead, this time around, unhampered by delays. Venus heading into Sagittarius on the 30th is another boost to clarity and popularity. You're also feeling stronger, more in charge of your life, and more confident. |
Capricorn
Your connections, social life, hopes, dreams, or community involvement are in stronger focus this month, dear Capricorn. November is potentially powerful for friend or group activities, networking, and payoffs from recent career or business efforts. There remains the need to process recent events and get your footing, but you’re also in a very sociable phase that’s excellent for you. Taking some educated risks can expand your world now. The Full Moon on the 5th opens your eyes to your feelings for someone or a current creative project. This can be an exciting time for love, creativity, and fertility. Emotions can be overflowing as you explore your feelings. Occurring around the time of a Mars-Uranus opposition, tensions run high if you feel restricted. Something could trigger buried frustration or resentment, which can relate to an overloaded schedule or change in schedule. Pushing yourself beyond your limits won’t help you, so do your best to learn those limits. You begin the month with warm appeal on professional or public levels. People are receiving you well, and possibly speaking highly of you as well. There is certainly a theme of networking and the support of friends in November, but also a lighter underlying theme of introspection, preparation, and attention to physical and emotional needs that will grow further in December. Mercury’s retrograde from the 9th to the 29th suggests a need to look back, reflect, and reconsider certain plans before moving forward with them. Recognize that communications can now be confused, and that signals from others can be misread. You are likely wrestling with a decision about a private matter. Even with retrograde-fueled hiccups, this month, you're very often in a great position to expand your social contacts or improve a particular friendship. The New Moon on the 20th encourages new beginnings. You’re willing to put in the effort for a friendship to work, and the same applies to your studies and communication projects. It's a fine time for both inspiration and productivity. Feelings about something from your past can be a driving force for change. Mars moves into your privacy sector early in November--on the 4th--pointing to the need to pace yourself and rest or take personal time more than usual. At the same time, this month's lunations point to benefits of working cooperatively with others, reminding you of your need for others and for the community. The need to delegate tasks or collaborate can emerge. While the month’s themes are complicated, they can also help move your life forward in the grand scheme of things, even when the month seems rather focused on the past, which is very often the case. Some of the enthusiasm you’ve been feeling about a relationship may begin to wane a notch from the 11th forward, when Jupiter retrogrades, as you begin to see it from a more realistic perspective. However, this is not a negative thing by any means. In fact, some introspection is in order, and a more mature look at others and your own relationship needs is empowering. In fact, you have Venus helping you connect with others smoothly and in happy, reinforcing ways from the 6th to the 30th. There is a nice mutual flow of energy, and the focus may be on the past or old friendships after the 18th. New friendships recently made or rekindled continue to figure strongly in your life, even with some related backtracking, delays, or challenges. Relationship bumps and bruises can be repaired. Vesta begins its transit of your sign on the 15th, pointing to more clarity and even a mission that motivates you, inspiring your independent nature. You’re developing an excellent ability to pace yourself and channel your energy into constructive activities. From the 21st forward, you're in a solar cycle that emphasizes some level of retreat, whether you're taking a break from competitive activities or simply enjoying more downtime. This cycle happens every year, but this time around, Mars has given you a head start along these lines. In fact, you’ve recognized these needs for extra rest or some withdrawal from November 4th forward. Saturn's direct turn on the 27th officially launches the final leg of Saturn's transit of your communication sector. It can prompt a reality check or a reminder of your need to organize and take care of your daily affairs. More structure to your communications, studies, and connections to others can benefit you greatly. Procrastination is costly, and you feel more energetic and confident as you meet your goals and responsibilities more promptly. Mercury also ends its retrograde cycle two days later, and things feel as if they're unblocking as the month draws to a close. Resting and reflecting are activities that not only become more possible, but also highly appealing. |
