This book is one of my favorites for interpretations of outer planet transits (Jupiter through Pluto) through the houses and in aspect to natal planets. As a Western Astrologer, I unfortunately passed this one by until recently, because I presumed it was not for me.
However, the bulk of the book is devoted to Part I, “Predicting Your Future with Western Transits”. Each interpretation is quite lengthy. More importantly, the interpretations are unusually insightful. Where appropriate, (in the Jupiter and Saturn delineations) the author offers a concise interpretation of the transit in terms of Hindu predictive astrology, but the bulk of the interpretations are interpreted in the style Western astrologers are accustomed to.
Part II, “Predicting Your Future with Hindu Dasas”, explores dasas and bhuktis and serves as an introduction to Hindu predictive astrology for western astrologers. Although both Eastern and Western techniques are offered in this book, the author stresses that the two techniques should not be mixed.
In other words, it would be erroneous to use a western chart and interpret dasas and bhuktis. However, he also proposes that the two systems are complementary.
This is an excellent work on transits of the outer planets, Jupiter through Pluto. Highly recommended.
