Composite Chart: Venus – Uranus Aspects
When composite Venus is conjunct composite Uranus:
You are learning to love one another in the moment, and expectations of stability and reliability will only challenge the very nature of this relationship and lead to disappointment and frustration. In order to be successful, this relationship must be tolerant, open, and equal–free of too many demands or pressures–and this isn’t easy! You are an unconventional couple somehow. You don’t follow relationship traditions and conventions. Maintaining this open spirit can be difficult in the long term, especially if this conjunction of Venus and Uranus in your composite chart is severely challenged by other planets. However, it’s possible that it’s not meant to be a long-term, committed partnership. Others might find you oddly detached and unusually open as a couple, especially if this conjunction occurs in a visible part of the chart, such as the first or tenth houses.
Sample from the Romantic Compatibility report: Spontaneity, excitement, unpredictability, and “catching joy as it flies” are major themes in your relationship. All of your expectations, preconceptions, and attempts to solidify or pin one another down will come to naught. The purpose of this relationship is happiness in the moment. And if those moments keep coming, all the better. However, to succeed as a couple you must be open, flexible, and willing to change. Freedom to experiment, to change the form of the relationship, to deviate from your normal ways of relating – all of these will be important in this relationship. Simply coming together may well have been totally unexpected and even rather disruptive to the order in your lives. There will always be an electric, fresh quality between you and you would be quite unwise to take anything for granted here. Expect only to be surprised!
When composite Venus is square or in opposition to composite Uranus:
With this aspect in your composite chart, your biggest enemy will be expectations. You cannot expect to completely rely upon your partner or the relationship itself, and learning to let go of expectations, pressures, and attempts to turn the relationship into a traditional or committed partnership will only lead to frustration. Through one another, you are learning to live and love in the moment, without too much expectations for the future. If you’re looking for a feeling of security and reliability in a partnership, you probably should look elsewhere. You may have met suddenly, or at a time when you were looking for something different in the relationship/love department. Or, your feelings for one another took you by complete surprise. This quality of suddenness and surprise is something that will remain with you as a couple, whether you like it or not!
There can be tremendous ups and downs in your relationship, as you seem to swing from exciting closeness to emotional distance. In fact, it might seem that when one partner is feeling needy, the other partner either bolts or isn’t around. You might feel that you are separated at key moments, or that one or both of you need periodic breaks from each other in order to keep the excitement alive. The expression “familiarity breeds contempt” is especially applicable. The relationship itself might cause waves or disruptions in others’ lives. Attempts to hold on too tightly to one another will backfire. You might find that your relationship is stronger when you allow one another individual freedoms, but if the uncertainty of such a relationship truly upsets you, or you tire of constantly trying to reinvent romantic excitement, you might decide to look for a more reliable and predictable relationship.
When composite Venus is sextile or trine composite Uranus:
As a couple, you are playful, willing to experiment, and reasonably open with one another. There is a spirit of friendship between you that is rather rare in romantic relationships. Others notice that you are more spirited, open, and accepting than most couples, although these relationship themes might be so natural to you that it’s hard to see and appreciate. However, one of the secrets to keeping your relationship alive and vital is to honor this theme. Dissolving a relationship with this aspect is usually easier than it is for others, simply because you are able to reason with one another and honor one another’s desires.
When composite Venus is quincunx composite Uranus:
Sample from the Romantic Compatibility report: Something totally unexpected and out of the blue is destined to disrupt your relationship or at least cause quite a few waves. It may be that one of you has to go off and do something entirely new, a sudden desire for independence, or a craving for adventure on the part of one of you (which the other is disturbed or turned off by).
To be successful as a duo, both of you need to encourage the other’s adventurous and experimental side. If one of you desires a more conventional or predictable, steady type of arrangement than the other, it will be trouble!
