With your ruler, Saturn, transitioning into a new sign and Pluto now permanently out of your sign, dear Capricorn, it’s an interesting year of discovery. On the one hand, you feel considerably less pressure, and on the other, you’re feeling fresh and full of initiative.

Your love life is likely to pick up the pace in the second half of 2025, with expansive Jupiter entering your partnership sector on June 9th. This one-year transit brings you delightful opportunities and benefits on a social level, particularly for one-on-one relationships. Many Capricorns will gain a new best friend or partner during this cycle that lasts from June 2025 to June 2026, and others will expand and enhance an existing close relationship.

Jupiter is generally considered a lucky transit, but it’s probably less about luck and more about magnification and expansion. Doors open in the areas of life associated with the sector that Jupiter transits.

For those Capricorns already partnered, happiness in your relationship becomes especially important, and you are likely to either fully appreciate what you have or see what’s not working and work harder at making each other happy. A partner may be in need of more freedom, and you are challenged to loosen any grip you may have on that person in order to bring more joy into the partnership. While August can bring some friction in this regard, you have plenty of chances to repair and strengthen your relationships this year, particularly through a spirit of acceptance and better communication.

The sharing of ideals is especially important to you at this time in your life. It’s an excellent time to resolve long-standing problems as you are especially fair and willing to compromise during this cycle.

Relationships entered into now are generally successful and happy — they seem, at least for the time being, to be mutually beneficial. Uranus continues to transit your romance sector this year, but it, too, is transitioning out of one sign and into another–it’s quite a year of shifts! This longer-term transit will fully move on in April 2026, but you get a sneak peek of this newer energy in 2025. Certainly, it continues to shake up romantic feelings, your dating life, and casual romantic relationships–these areas can sometimes be unpredictable, exciting, or edgy. However, these themes are drawing to a close. Soon enough, your romantic world will be less chaotic or changeful.

You’re not always comfortable with Uranus energy–its lack of rules can be disruptive, and other times, exciting. Work with this energy by accepting that things need to change. When Venus is retrograde from March 1-April 12, you will have to be patient and sensitive when it comes to a lover and love relationship. This is a time when you could be rethinking a love affair, or a partner is. Sometimes, it indicates a turning to the past–a past love might reappear, for example.

Key Periods:

Mars is retrograde from December 6, 2024-February 23, 2025, and for the first part of this cycle, Mars is retrograde in your intimacy sector, making desires and their fulfillment a little more complicated, particularly regarding sharing, your sex life, and matters of debt or attachment.

There can be some sluggishness during the retrograde period because Mars, the planet of energy, anger, activity, and sexuality, is moving “backwards” (retrograde). People can be stuck on previous relationships.

Although Mars is retrograde until February 23rd, 2025, it’s retrograde in your intimacy sector only until January 6, 2025. From January 6th to February 23rd, Mars is retrograde in your partnership sector. You may temporarily feel that your one-to-one relationships are lacking something–perhaps spirit or excitement.
