You begin the year with a stronger need to feel rooted, secure, and comfortable, dear Virgo. If you’ve played your cards right, a raise, bonus, large gift, or some other material increase can come into your life. Even if material benefits are not evident during Jupiter’s transit of your solar second house (until October), it can be a time of indulgence and abundance. It’s a great time to build on existing projects and businesses, as well as to further develop your talents.

There are likely to be some pressures on the home front in 2017, but also opportunities to really get your domestic life into order. Organizing or reorganizing your home, downsizing and streamlining where necessary, and establishing better and more efficient routines will be helpful. Gone is the theme of previous years where you felt a conflict between the old and the new. In the past, you’ve often weighed the pros and cons of sticking to tried and true patterns and moving forward to unexplored territory. This year, there are distinct opportunities to combine these things creatively. Your strong desire to reach new levels of achievement and success no longer clash as rigidly with your desire for security by keeping the status quo.

Some of you are struggling with a clash of values when it comes to a love relationship and for some of you, with children, however. Overspending may be an issue this year that you’ll want to nip in the bud. Many Virgos are discovering creative talents you never knew you had, as well as gaining more confidence about sharing and expressing them. As a Virgo, you can sometimes find it difficult to give yourself enough credit or value. However, you have the chance to restructure your domestic life by reorganizing your personal space as well as your routines and schedules.

An eclipse in February completes a set that was quite personal for you as you explored your needs for both relationships and independence. This is the final cosmic nudge towards improving or solidifying a partnership. A retrograde cycle of Venus from March 4-April 15 can lead to more review of your feelings and can temporarily complicate a relationship. From May forward, you know your heart, and you are ready to make decisions. You’re also in an excellent position to add more healing and relaxing activities to your routine. You recognize the benefits of coming to a better work-life balance.

Relationships with siblings and possibly neighbors can be stimulating and even healing from October forward, and activities close to home (and on or in the home) are very appealing now. This period in your life is a time for building a solid foundation. Understand that moderation at this point in your life is necessary for your spiritual growth and your physical body as well.

The last quarter of the year can be quite fabulous for winning others over to your ideas and plans. You are also quite hungry for new learning experiences and personal interests or projects, and while you can have a lot on your plate, you’re likely to thoroughly enjoy learning, connecting, and sharing your ideas with others. Partnering up to learn or work can be in focus. Saturn moves in at the tail-end of the year to support your efforts to meet your responsibilities. You begin an excellent cycle for a steadier love life and profitable hobbies.
