The Sun continues to transit your solar second house. This is the most "financial" period of the year for you. You might have a more materialistic view of life for the time being, or you have an increased interest in your own possessions, during this cycle. You are more attracted to objects and possessions that give you a sense of comfort, status, or luxury now.

You probably should be on the lookout for a tendency to create your own financial stress due to extravagant spending habits. At this point in the year, you are unlikely to take many risks, however, and you can be quite resistant to change. This is a time when "comfort zones" are more important to you than usual--you value the familiar.

From October 23rd forward:

The Sun is illuminating your communications sector now, suggesting "busy-ness" and movement. You are exploring and searching, making connections, and paying more attention to your immediate environment. Social interaction is in emphasis during this period, and is, for the most part, light-hearted.

Give other people a little extra time and attention, notice their efforts on your behalf, and strengthen your connections. You are more curious and alert than usual, and you could be quite busy with errands, paperwork, phone calls, and light socializing. Much energy is expended in understanding and adapting to your immediate environment. Siblings, neighbors, close relatives, friends, and co-workers may play a more important role than usual in your life during this cycle.

You are more interested in exploring your own neighborhood than you are of something entirely new. This is not a time of big adventure-seeking! Rather, it's a time of little adventures close to home.

Neither is this a time when you are especially focused. In fact, you could have a finger in many pies right now. Venus continues to transit through your solar twelfth house now. The twelfth house is a sector of endings, privacy, and mental health, and with Venus here, it's possible that you are reviewing your feelings for someone, or enjoying a more private love life for the time being. You may not be open with your affections for whatever reason now, and this shouldn't be a problem—it may be difficult to articulate, verbalize, or intellectualize your feelings for the time being. Doing some soul-searching as well as an enhanced ability to perceive other dimensions in love can lead you to a deeper understanding of your own love needs and possibly of a love relationship. Love might involve some form of sacrifice or simply a lot of giving and lending of support as opposed to receiving during this cycle.

From October 3-27: 

You could find it hard to deny yourself much of anything during this cycle! This is a time when you naturally let loose your softer, receptive side. Romantic matters, as well as pleasure-seeking activities, come to the fore now. You are more likely to pay closer attention to your physical appearance and mannerisms, aiming to improve and enhance your attractiveness. Others find you especially agreeable and cooperative. You are more gracious, well-behaved (superficial if you are not careful!), and likable now. Take advantage! It's a time when you turn heads, and it's also a period for extra attention to pleasures, pampering, and enjoyment.

From October 28th forward: 

Venus transits your solar second house and, as the natural ruler of the second house, Venus feels right "at home" here. This is a rather content position for Venus, although there can be some restlessness when it comes to money and spending it—you are more inclined to want more things around you! Financial security and enjoyment of the good things in life are important to you, although you also value simple pleasures. The ability to relate well with others might enhance your own personal finances during this period. You may find yourself in a position in which there is a blending of financial matters with social or public affairs. This is a stable position for love matters and close relationships. You value those who make you feel comfortable, and familiarity is more important to you than someone new during this cycle.

Mercury this Month: Communications, Learning, Connections, Transportation

Until the 27th:

Mercury continues to move through your solar third house. Mercury feels right at home in the third house. Your mind is especially inquisitive during this cycle, when learning, short trips, and other forms of communication and making connections, appeal strongly. Some are fidgety or nervous during this cycle, perhaps due to increased errand-running, phone calls, or information overload. Others enjoy the challenge of tackling a variety of subjects.

Mercury is retrograde from October 13th to November 3rd:

All Mercury retrograde cycles particularly affect you in terms of your own body language and personal manner (you may feel that others misunderstand you), as well as communications involving the career or public, because Mercury rules these areas of your life. You are ruled by Mercury, so the likelihood of being misunderstood, in general, is high. Put off career decisions as well, as career matters are Gemini-ruled for you.

Occurring in your solar second and third houses this time, extra care should be exercised when it comes to new financial initiatives, composing letters, emails, and phone calls, as well as communicating with neighbors and siblings. Back up your computer and allow sufficient time for delays or transportation mishaps when going for appointments. As well, it would be wise to choose your words carefully. What you say or write can too easily be misinterpreted during this period. There may be the need to revisit old, nagging issues regarding personal finances. Take this time to re-budget instead of making premature purchases. Hold off on decision-making regarding money. Instead, take the time to re-think your sources of income and how you spend your cash during this period, but put off finalizing anything important for the time being. In fact, some money-making ideas or ventures may be put on hold due to circumstances beyond your control. It would be wise to be especially clear when it comes to communicating with co-workers, neighbors, and acquaintances, or take this time to re-examine issues rather than communicating about them prematurely.

Mars is retrograde from September 9th to November 13th:

All Mars retrograde cycles affect you in the areas of intimacy, sharing, and finances because Mars rules these areas of your solar chart. Intimate matters may become more intense and complicated. Joint financial projects or initiatives may stall, or you could find that you are less confident about expressing yourself in personal ways. Anger management might be in order now, and it's a strong period for reviewing how you have been asserting yourself with a partner. There can be frustrations with how you've been managing power in a partnership, as well as drive to improve this situation. There may be a struggle with addictions at this time or the magnification of fears and phobias that have been driving your behavior. The good news is that you have a chance to better manage them.
