Void of Course Dates this Month
Jupiter forms a trine to Chiron exactly on November 1st. This subtly uplifting time brings us the opportunity to free ourselves from restrictive and negative attitudes that have been undermining our progress. We are especially open to learning from others, and better able to help others to understand our point of view. We might open our minds to different perspectives and philosophies. We’re absorbing and possibly sharing what we’ve learned from past experiences and mistakes.
On the 6th, Uranus retrogrades back into the sign of Aries. In May, Uranus entered Taurus and is now moving back into Aries to complete its transit of Aries until March 2019, when it will transit Taurus more consistently. We can feel that we’re returning to unfinished business in the months ahead.
Jupiter and Uranus form a quincunx on the 8th, with Jupiter at the very end of the sign of Scorpio. In fact, Jupiter moves into Sagittarius on the same day! We should watch for acting on impulse under this influence. We’re inclined to feel rushed and we may throw ourselves into a decision now, just to get it done with. We might find it difficult to agree or to find something in common right now and can experience restlessness. We need to make changes but may not know what or when, and there can be bursts of rebelliousness if we are not in touch. We should probably avoid making dramatic changes until we’re clearer about what we want.
Jupiter finishes its transit of Scorpio on the 8th, moving into the sign of Sagittarius where it will stay for approximately thirteen months. Jupiter rules Sagittarius and feels right at home in the sign, performing particularly well. It doesn’t get much support from the outer planets during its stay in Sagittarius, however. This transit encourages us to increase our cultural and spiritual awareness, expand our knowledge, broaden our experiences, and have more faith in the universe. We’ll be deepening our interest in philosophical, and perhaps religious, though and discovering what it is that gives us joy–what truly is important in our lives in the long run. We trust in something higher than us, and this gives us a sense that we are doing the right thing and that we are spiritually protected–“things will work out” is the overall attitude now.
Because Jupiter’s nature is extravagant, we must guard against “too much.” Watch for recklessness or slipping into a “know it all” stance. We may identify strongly with our own opinions, beliefs, and perceptions, and we may take it quite personally if others disagree with us! We create our own opportunities. This transit teaches us to embrace our more confident, brave, and outgoing selves. This is how we grow and expand. We attract the best fortune when we are open-handed and generous, tolerant, inspirational, and practice what we preach. We need only believe in ourselves and our goals, show our enthusiasm to learn and to teach, and look at the big picture. We may find success in travel, education, teaching, sports, publishing, and foreign cultures.
Venus ends its retrograde on November 16th. Venus began its retrograde cycle in the sign of Scorpio on October 5th, moved back into Libra on October 31st, and now is turning direct in the sign of Libra. This retrograde offered us the chance to look over and review our affections, relationships, and finances, and it allowed us to catch up with our heart on a matter. Venus will come out of its post-retrograde shadow when it enters the degree of Scorpio at which it originally turned retrograde — on December 17th.
On the same day that Venus ends its retrograde (the 16th), Mercury begins its retrograde! Mercury will spend the majority of its retrograde in the sign of Sagittarius, although it will back up into Scorpio for a few days. Mercury’s retrograde lasts from November 16th to December 6th.
On the 23rd, the Full Moon occurs early in the sign of Gemini. This lunation brings sudden awareness to our lives and a rather urgent need to know, to get an important message across, to finish a communications project, or to make an announcement. Travel and communications are in strong focus.
Neptune turns direct on the 24th, and many of the illusions we’ve been holding onto emerge, confusing situations become clearer, and our creativity soars, or at least, we are more inclined to apply our creativity in the real world. We have more faith in our own dreams and visions, in others, and in belief systems. We increasingly seek inspiration from external sources.
Jupiter forms a semi-square to Pluto on the 28th. We may take on too many interests, activities, or desires under this influence. Exaggerating our importance or power, either to ourselves or others, should be avoided now. Our belief system could be challenged now, and the need for a major attitude change arises, or we might have to face narrow-mindedness in others (or in ourselves). Attempting to force our beliefs on others will only lead to frustration.
