Details
The Moon is New in Aries on April 8, 2024, at 2:21 PM EDT. This is a New Moon total Solar Eclipse that occurs at 19° Aries 24′.
This eclipse is the fourth in an Aries-Libra set of six eclipses and the third Solar Eclipse in the series.
Its effects can be felt for up to six months after the actual date of the eclipse. In the sign of Aries, this eclipse puts matters related to personal plans, courage, independence, and self-assertion in strong focus. It’s about new beginnings regarding any of these issues. Long-term changes are in the works!
This phase of the Moon occurs at 19 degrees and 24 minutes of Aries.
A similar Solar Eclipse (at approximately the same degree of Aries) occurred on April 8th, 2005. Before that, it was April 9, 1986. An eclipse set along the Aries-Libra axis most recently occurred from 2013-2016. Before that, it was from 2004-2006.
Note that this eclipse is opposite the October 2023 eclipse in Libra.
This Solar eclipse can highlight and challenge our issues surrounding independence and personal courage. We might take steps towards self-mastery and self-empowerment by tackling things that undermine us.
Circumstances nudge or encourage us to see where we haven’t been true to our authentic selves. Ultimately, we are now in a position to understand that changes or endings are necessary for our own growth, and that we can handle these things.
This is a good time for focusing on some of the constructive traits of the sign of the Ram–enterprising, straightforward, sincere, brave–and consider how to positively incorporate these qualities into our lives. Aries New Moons are generally good for taking action – trying something new and innovative, and going at it with gusto and confidence;. It’s a time to be assertive, take charge of our lives, start a brand new project, and discover our own personal courage.
It’s a powerful time to re-evaluate our relationship with ourselves. With this potent Aries energy, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives. Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, and thus a New Moon in Aries is especially ripe with opportunity for new beginnings. We might consider acting on a constructive impulse and following a hunch or taking a risk. Aries learns through experience and action, so we might treat ourselves to a little adventure now.
It’s also a good cycle under which to discover the benefits of expressing ourselves with authenticity – expressing ourselves as we are, without putting on airs. We might also find ways to learn how to rely on ourselves and to be happy about doing so – it will go a long way towards finding inner happiness when we know that we can be self-sufficient without blaming others for not helping us out. It’s a time to revitalize ourselves through experiences that break the routine and that involve doing something new and fresh.
The New Moon aligns with retrograde Mercury, and it’s hard to see our path, but our discomfort with the past can be very real now, motivating new beginnings. As well, Mars, the ruler of Aries, is coming into alignment with Saturn, suggesting the determination to overcome obstacles.
With this eclipse, we might experience a strong urge to act on impulse. However, it will be important to avoid jumping to conclusions and asserting ourselves without considering others’ feelings and reactions. There is a big difference between asserting ourselves from a place of healthy confidence, and asserting ourselves brashly and mindlessly, which can give us a false sense of confidence or bravery.
With this potent Aries energy, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives that will benefit us well beyond this Moon cycle. For some of us, circumstances are such that we need to pay more attention to these matters.
Flaws in an important system in our lives reveal themselves in the wake of the eclipse, prompting us to redo or to start fresh. Something ends in order for something else to start anew. We may be called to give up something in order to move forward into a new chapter in our lives. Although the “new” may be unrecognizable, it is important to allow the necessary surrender to the unknown.
An eclipse occurs close to the nodal axis, and this eclipse is closer to the North Node of the Moon. While we’re heading into unknown territory in some ways, we have a good sense that we’re doing so to our advantage.
Major developments in the personal areas ruled by Aries in our charts are likely to occur over the upcoming months.
The above chart is excellent for seeing the fundamental influences and chart pattern of this New Moon. The chart below adds more details with additional points. Click to enlarge:

The Moon is Full in Scorpio on April 23, 2024, at 7:49 PM EDT.
A Full Moon occurs when the Sun in Taurus forms an opposition to the Moon in Scorpio. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time – a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 4 degrees and 18 minutes of Scorpio, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 0 to 8 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) most significantly.
The Taurus-Scorpio polarity deals with the balance between all that is mine (Taurus) and all that is yours (Scorpio). It also emphasizes the concept of form (Taurus) versus transformation (Scorpio).
While Taurus deals with matter, personal values, material goods, possessions, and security, Scorpio rules the destruction of form, shared possessions, change, and transformation. The Sun in Taurus encourages happiness with the simple, tangible things in life, while the Scorpio Moon draws our attention to complexities, intangibles, and mysteries.
Neglecting either end of the axis will surely backfire on us. Ideally, a balance should be found between the two energies, and this is what the Full Moon invites us to do. This Full Moon is about emotional declarations. Something has been building inside of us, likely of an intimate nature, and now is the time when the energy of the cosmos fairly demands that we let it out.
Over the next two weeks, we will discover what this declaration means for us. For now, we can’t sit on our feelings — we need to express them. The Full Moon illuminates this conflict between collecting and sharing. With the Moon full and bright in the sky, symbolic “illumination” occurs in our own lives.
However, these new feelings and revelations are emotional ones, as emotions burst forth into our consciousness. It’s time to express ourselves and to let things out of our systems. Of course, we might want to exercise some care while doing so, knowing that what is coming out of us is new and not particularly rational as yet.
Full Moons are about exposing or illuminating issues that are already there, but that have not yet been dealt with. Where does the Full Moon fall by house in your natal chart? Read more here.
We have conviction and tenacity, and we are willing to make necessary changes, but there can be some tension and perhaps paranoia or resistance involved with our revelations now with the lunation’s square to Pluto.

The Moon is New in Taurus on May 7, 2024, at 11:22 PM EDT.
The following is the chart wheel of the Taurus New Moon in 2024.
The New Moon in Taurus marks the beginning of a new cycle. The Aries New Moon cycle ends and the Taurus New Moon cycle begins.
The New Moon in Taurus is a good time to commit to personal goals that express the positive energies of the sign of the Bull. It’s time to enjoy life’s simple and physical pleasures–savor good food and enjoy activities that bring us in touch with nature and with our bodies. It’s time to stop and smell the roses and to become more aware of what makes us feel comfortable and secure.
This is a good cycle under which to re-evaluate our relationship to money and possessions and to discover what truly makes us happy and fulfilled.
This New Moon aligns with Uranus and harmonizes with Saturn. We’re listening to our needs for change and innovation, but we’re respecting the process, a need for patience, and what’s worked for us in the past.
With this potent Taurus energy, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives. It’s time to make some solid and realistic plans and to set the stage for reaping the rewards from our new beginnings, as little or big as they may be, in approximately two weeks’ time after the Full Moon occurs.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 18 degrees and 2 minutes of Taurus, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 14 to 22 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) the most significantly.
The above chart is good for seeing the most important influences and the chart pattern for this New Moon. The following includes additional points for the nuances:

The Moon is Full in Sagittarius on May 23, 2024, at 9:53 AM EDT.
Details
The Moon is Full in Sagittarius on May 23, 2024, at 9:53 AM EDT.
A Full Moon occurs when the Sun in Gemini forms an opposition to the Moon in Sagittarius. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time – a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.
We become more fully aware of what has been lacking or missing in our lives, particularly related to learning, adventure, spirited living, communicating, sharing, and commuting.
The Gemini-Sagittarius polarity is a mental axis, where Gemini represents the “lower mind” and Sagittarius represents the “higher mind.” The Gemini Sun encourages us to think logically, while the Sagittarius Moon persuades us to intuit and to think in a broader manner. Sagittarius symbolizes the quest for meaning and ideas that expand upon the “here and now.” Gemini is quite comfortable in its immediate environment or neighborhood, while Sagittarius stimulates us to venture beyond it.
Neglecting either end of the axis will surely backfire on us. Ideally, a balance should be found between the two energies, and this is what the Full Moon invites us to do.
This Full Moon is about communication, attitude, and sense of adventure. Something has been building inside of us, and now is the time when the energy of the cosmos fairly demands that we let it out. Over the next two weeks, we will discover what this means for us. For now, we can’t sit on our feelings–we need to express them.
The lunation illuminates this conflict between logic and intuition/faith. With the Moon full and bright in the sky, symbolic “illumination” occurs in our own lives. However, these new feelings and revelations are emotional ones, as there is a sense of emotions bursting forth into our consciousness. It’s time to express ourselves and to let things out of our systems.
Of course, we might want to exercise some care while doing so, knowing that what is coming out of us is fresh, unrefined, and not particularly rational as yet.
This Full Moon harmonizes with Neptune and Pluto, and the Sun has just recently aligned with Venus and Jupiter, bringing a sense of good luck and will along with some inspiration and determination to see things through.
The following is a chart of this Full Moon with some additional points:
This phase of the Moon occurs at 2 degrees and 55 minutes of Sagittarius, opposite the Sun at the same degree of Gemini, affecting people born with personal planets and points at 0 to 7 degrees of the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) and at 29 to 30 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) most significantly.

Details
The Moon is New in Gemini on June 6, 2024, at 8:38 AM EDT.
The New Moon in Gemini marks the beginning of a new cycle. The Taurus New Moon cycle ends and the Gemini New Moon cycle begins on June 6th. The following is the chart of this lunation.
The New Moon is a time of rebirth–a time when we are given a chance to start fresh.
The New Moon in Gemini cycle presents opportunities to commit to personal goals that express the positive energies of the sign of the Twins. It’s time to improve our communication skills by listening to others and enjoying their points of view, rather than doggedly seeking to find that one elusive “answer.”
This is a good cycle in which to re-evaluate our communication and social skills by questioning just how much we actually take in information and communicate in a friendly, non-threatening manner. How we get around (transit) and connect with others can be in great focus.
We might carve out more time to socialize and enjoy others–whether they are neighbors, friends, family, or acquaintances–just for the simple pleasure of doing so. It’s a good time to find new avenues or channels to express ourselves and learn by awakening our curiosity and refining our writing, speaking, teaching, and listening skills. We might commit to adding some mental variety to our lives and opening our minds to gathering more information and facts from our environment.
Although Gemini is sometimes associated with superficial connections and communications, dig a little deeper and you will see that there is much to learn from the light, two-way, and comfortable conversations that characterize the sign.
With this potent Gemini energy, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives.
This lunation aligns with Venus and forms a square to Saturn, and some blocks, obstacles, or reality checks are likely before we embark on a new path. The desire for more harmony, love, pleasure, or better relationships can be very real now, motivating new beginnings.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 16 degrees and 18 minutes of Gemini, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 12 to 20 degrees of the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) most significantly.
A chart with additional points is below. Use the first chart to visualize the fundamental, most important energies of this Gemini New Moon, and consult the second wheel below for further details.

The Moon is Full in Capricorn on June 21, 2024, at 9:08 PM EDT.
The following is the chart wheel of the Capricorn Full Moon in the year 2024.
A Full Moon occurs when the Sun in early Cancer forms an opposition to the Moon in early Capricorn at 9:07 PM EDT on June 21, 2024. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time – a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.
To understand this Full Moon, we need to recognize that the Cancer-Capricorn polarity concerns the balance between the private life, domesticity, the need for a home base, and nurturance (represented by Cancer) versus the public life, career, reputation, and accountability (represented by Capricorn). Attachments and love are ruled by Cancer, while achievements and rewards/punishments are ruled by Capricorn.
In some ways, this polarity deals with the balance between unconditional love and conditional love. Cancer encourages us to value our home base and our roots, while Capricorn persuades us to consider our sense of duty and responsibility along public or professional lines. While Cancer may be content to be dependent, Capricorn urges us to be grown-up and responsible.
Cancer represents the origin, and Capricorn represents the goal. Neglecting either end of the axis will surely backfire on us. Ideally, a balance should be found between the two energies, and this is what the Full Moon invites us to do.
This Full Moon is about balancing our commitment to our career and families. Something has been building inside of us, and now is the time when the energy of the cosmos fairly demands that we let it out. Over the next two weeks, we will discover what this means for us. For now, we can’t sit on our feelings. We need to express them.
The Full Moon illuminates this conflict between roots and direction.
This lunation forms a square to Neptune, and we should watch for deception and self-deception. We might also consider that we can be reacting to disillusionment.
The following is a chart of this Full Moon with additional points:
This phase of the Moon occurs at 1 degrees and 7 minutes of Capricorn, affecting planets at approximately 0 to 5 degrees of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn) and 27 to 30 degrees of the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) the most.

The Moon is New in Cancer on July 5, 2024, at 6:58 PM EDT.
The New Moon in Cancer is a good time to commit to personal goals that express the positive energies of the sign of the Crab. These include honoring our deepest, most irrational and intimate, feelings; recognizing the sense of security and safety we derive from whatever it is we call home; allowing ourselves to accept support and offering support to others; and starting a project aimed at improving our domestic lives or a major long-term venture.
With this potent Cancer energy, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives that will benefit us well beyond this Moon cycle.
It’s time to make some plans and set the stage for reaping the rewards from our new beginnings, as little or big as they may be, in approximately two weeks’ time after the Full Moon occurs. Concentrate on new ways to enhance family life and domestic affairs, and to build up your feelings of security and safety.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 14 degrees and 23 minutes of Cancer, affecting people with personal planets and points at approximately 10 to 18 degrees of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn) most significantly.
The above chart wheel is excellent for visualizing essential chart patterns as it shows the positions of the major or core bodies. The Moon is Full in Capricorn on July 21, 2024, at 6:17 AM EDT.
The following is the chart wheel of the Capricorn Full Moon in the year 2024 — this is the second one (the first Full Moon in Capricorn occurred a month ago–on June 21st).
A Full Moon occurs when the Sun in Cancer forms an opposition to the Moon in Capricorn at 6:17 AM EDT on July 21st, 2024.

Cancer represents the origin, and Capricorn represents the goal. Neglecting either end of the axis will surely backfire on us. Ideally, a balance should be found between the two energies, and this is what the Full Moon invites us to do.

Of course, we might want to exercise some care while doing so, knowing that what is coming out of us is fresh, unrefined, and not particularly rational as yet.
This lunation connects with Pluto and engages harmoniously with Neptune, Mars, and Uranus, suggesting we have the support, determination, and resources to realize our dreams. It’s a fruitful and ambitious period.
Occurring in the last degree of Capricorn, this Full Moon feels more urgent, but it also rounds out our feelings with further matter to consider compared to last month’s Full Moon in the sign, when we were fresh and still a little naive. We can experience powerful, well-formed realizations, perhaps with the final word or decisive revelations on a matter.
The following is a chart of this Full Moon with additional points:
This phase of the Moon occurs at 29 degrees and 9 minutes of Capricorn, opposite the Sun at the same degree of Cancer, and affecting planets at approximately 25 to 30 degrees of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn) and 0 to 3 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) the most.

The Moon is New in Leo on August 4, 2024, at 7:13 AM EDT.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 12 degrees and 34 minutes of Leo.
The New Moon in Leo is an excellent time for formulating goals regarding “all things Leo.” For example, we might concentrate on new ways to enhance our romantic life, creative endeavors and hobbies, and relationship with children, as well as build our self-confidence and healthy pride in ourselves.
Some of Leo’s lessons involve taking pride in ourselves as unique individuals, assuming responsibility for our lives, and giving ourselves warmly and generously to others. This New Moon period is an excellent time to meditate upon some of the characteristics of Leo. Keywords for this self-expressive Fire sign — such things as proud, noble, generous, hospitable, caring, warm, authoritative, active, and open — are traits that we might enhance, develop, and incorporate into our personalities.
We all have Leo somewhere in our charts. Seek the coming month to improve those areas of life. It’s time to awaken our “inner child” and find ways to express ourselves creatively. With this potent Leo energy, we can make significant changes in our lives that will benefit us well beyond this Moon cycle. It’s time to make some plans and set the stage for reaping the rewards from our new beginnings, as little or big as they may be, approximately two weeks after the Full Moon occurs.
This lunation harmonizes with Mars and Jupiter as these planets approach alignment in the sign of Gemini. We’re enterprising and confident.
The above chart is helpful for seeing the fundamental energies of this New Moon along with chart patterns. Below, the New Moon chart is presented with additional points for extra details. Click to enlarge:

The Moon is Full in Aquarius on August 19, 2024, at 2:25 PM EDT.
A Full Moon occurs when the Sun in Leo at 27 degrees and 15 minutes forms an opposition to the Moon in Aquarius at 27 degrees and 15 minutes. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time – a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.
The Leo Sun is proud and intensely individual–not content with simply being just one of the team. The Aquarius Moon, while individualistic as well, values independence and the team, community, and group spirit. The Full Moon illuminates this conflict.
When a Full Moon occurs, we can suddenly burst forth with proclamations and outpours that seem fresh and new, simply because they are not yet rationalized. In fact, a Full Moon illuminates feelings, attitudes, and circumstances that are already in existence.
This is a time of awakening to the need for others or to answer to humanitarian impulses.
This lunation is square Uranus, suggesting some tense, rebellious energy connected to our realizations and epiphanies. The Sun is aligned with retrograde Mercury, having just formed an inferior conjunction the day before, and our revelations are pivotal and surprising. While we’re anxious to move forward, we’re temporarily focusing on the past.
