The Moon is Full in Leo on February 5, 2023, at 1:28 PM EST.
The Full Moon in Leo marks the beginning of a new cycle.
The Moon is full when the Aquarius Sun opposes the Moon in Leo. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time–a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.
The Leo-Aquarius polarity deals with the balance between all that is personal (Leo) and all that is impersonal (Aquarius). The energy of the Leo Moon is creative self-expression and the boost to the individual ego that we receive through pleasure and romance, while the Aquarius Sun rules the group, more impersonal friendships, and objectivity. This Full Moon urges us to strike a balance between romance and friendship, and between expressing ourselves in personal and impersonal ways.
The Leo Moon is proud and intensely individual–not content with simply being just one of the team. The Aquarius Sun, while individualistic as well, values independence and the “team.” The Full Moon illuminates this conflict.
With the Moon full and bright in the sky, symbolic illumination occurs in our own lives. However, these new feelings and revelations are emotional ones, as there is a sense of emotions bursting forth into our consciousness. It’s time to express ourselves, and to let things out of our systems. Over the coming weeks, we will discover what this means for us. For now, we can’t sit on our feelings. We need to express them. Of course, we might want to exercise some care while doing so, knowing that what is coming out of us is not particularly rational as yet.
This Full Moon forms a square to Uranus, adding some rebellious, unexpected, premature, or abrupt energy to our epiphanies and revelations.
The same Full Moon in Leo chart with additional points:
This phase of the Moon occurs at 16 degrees and 41 minutes of Leo, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 14 to 20 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) most significantly.

The Moon is New in Pisces on February 20, 2023, at 2:06 AM EST.
The following is the New Moon astrological chart wheel for the Pisces New Moon in 2023.
The New Moon in Pisces marks the beginning of a new cycle. The Aquarius New Moon cycle ends and the Pisces New Moon cycle begins.
The New Moon in Pisces is a good time to commit to personal goals that express the positive energies of the sign of the Fish. These include taking a leap of faith, accepting imperfections in ourselves and in others as a different kind of “perfection,” starting a project that requires imagination and visualization skills, consciously putting time aside for peaceful and rejuvenating activities, and sharing a dream with another.
With this potent Pisces energy, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives.
The major bodies are all direct, contributing to a feeling of moving forward. This New Moon is separating from an alignment with Saturn, suggesting a sense that we have our responsibilities in mind, but that we’re also picking up steam in the faith or inspiration department. Venus is at the very end of the sign of Pisces–it will enter Aries within minutes after the New Moon–suggesting an ending in the social or financial department could power or drive our new beginnings.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 1 degree and 22 minutes of Pisces, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 0 to 5 degrees of the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) and 27 to 30 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) most significantly.

The Moon is Full in Virgo on March 7, 2023, at 7:40 AM EST.
A Full Moon occurs in the sign of Virgo on March 7th, 2023, when the Sun in Pisces forms an opposition to the Moon in Virgo. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time – a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.
With the Virgo-Pisces service axis involved, this Full Moon presses us to find a balance between day-to-day functions and routines, physical health, and the need for order (Virgo) and vision, spiritual health, disorder, and the infinite (Pisces).
Virgo rules the tools and techniques we use to deal with day-to-day life, while Pisces rules the tools we employ to manage our spiritual selves.
Some sort of crisis (which can be a crisis of consciousness) or sudden awareness of a lack in our lives provides us with a golden opportunity to explore our emotional needs within the context of the house polarity where the Full Moon occurs in our natal charts.
This Full Moon urges us to strike a balance between work and service, practicality and impracticality, criticism and acceptance. With the Moon full and bright in the sky, symbolic “illumination” occurs in our own lives.
However, these new feelings and revelations are emotional ones, as there is a sense of emotions bursting forth into our consciousness. It’s time to express ourselves and to let things out of our systems. Over the next two weeks, we will discover what this means for us.
For now, we can’t sit on our feelings–we need to express them! Of course, we might want to exercise some care while doing so, knowing that what is coming out of us is not particularly rational as yet.
This is an eyes-wide-open time for our work, habits, health, and routines. We are likely to receive strong messages from our intuition.
This Full Moon occurs around the same time that Saturn leaves Aquarius and enters Pisces. It harmonizes with Uranus and forms a somewhat wide square to Mars.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 16 degrees and 40 minutes of Virgo, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 13 to 21 degrees of the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) most significantly.

The Moon is New in Aries on March 21, 2023, at 1:23 PM EDT. The New Moon occurs at 0° Aries 50′.
The following is the chart wheel of the New Moon in Aries occurring in 2023.
The New Moon in Aries marks the beginning of a new cycle. The Pisces New Moon cycle ends and the Aries New Moon cycle begins.
The New Moon in Aries is a good time to commit to personal goals that express the positive energies of the sign of the Ram. It’s time to take action – try something new and innovative, and go at it with gusto and confidence; be assertive without being abrasive; take charge of our lives; start a brand new project, and discover our own personal courage.
This is a strong cycle under which to re-evaluate our relationship with ourselves. With this potent Aries energy, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives. It’s time to make some solid yet realistic plans and to set the stage for reaping the rewards from our new beginnings, as little or big as they may be, in approximately two weeks’ time after the Full Moon occurs.
Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, and thus a New Moon in Aries is especially ripe with opportunity for new beginnings. We might consider acting on a constructive impulse and following a hunch or taking a risk.
Aries learns through experience and action, and we might treat ourselves to a little adventure now. It’s also a good cycle under which to discover the benefits of expressing ourselves with authenticity – expressing ourselves as we are, without putting on airs.
We might find ways to learn how to rely on ourselves and to be happy about doing so – it will go a long way towards finding inner happiness when we know that we can be self-sufficient without blaming others for not helping us out. It’s a time to revitalize ourselves through experiences that break the routine and that involve doing something new and fresh.
This New Moon occurs in the very first degree of Aries (and the zodiac), suggesting a particularly strong new beginning theme globally. Its alignment with Mercury adds a mental, communicative theme to this fresh start. Mars, the ruler of Aries, forms an out-of-sign square to the lunation, and while we’re ready to work hard and pace ourselves, we can be impulsive or premature.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 0 degrees and 50 minutes of Aries, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 0 to 5 degrees of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, and Libra, and Capricorn) and 27 to 30 degrees of the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) most significantly.
I like to see two charts of the New Moon. The featured chart uses only the major bodies and is useful for seeing chart patterns and core influences. Adding additional points or bodies is helpful for seeing nuances, as follows:

Details
The Moon is Full in Libra on April 6, 2023, at 12:34 AM EDT.
The Full Moon occurs on Thursday, April 6th, when the Sun in Aries forms an opposition to the Libra Moon. It’s a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of something begun at the New Moon. Heightened emotions, romance, fertilization, relationship drama, and epiphanies are themes.
The Aries-Libra polarity is a relationship axis, where Aries represents “self,” and Libra represents “other.” Where Aries is about self-assertion, Libra is about compromise.
With the Libra Moon, we’re especially aware of our need for relationships and all that comes with maintaining them — compromising, negotiating, graciousness, and balancing. The Aries Sun, on the other hand, is self-assertive, leading, and personally courageous.
This Full Moon urges us to strike a balance between meeting our personal needs and attending to the needs of a significant other, and between independence or autonomy and dependence or companionability.
The Libra Moon is diplomatic, equality-focused, and fair-minded. The Aries Sun values authenticity over tact and is energized by independent efforts. The Full Moon illuminates this conflict.
Relationship epiphanies occur now. We’re likely to experience revelations about our independence, need for others, and partnerships. Uranus harmonizes with the Sun and Moon and Jupiter and Chiron align with the Sun around the time of this lunation. We’re on a healing path, and we may have been rather self-focused. Now, we’re considering gaining a better balance, looking for or receiving feedback, and acknowledging what this means for our relationships. All planets are direct at this time, helping us to feel freer and less burdened.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 16 degrees and 07 minutes of Libra opposite the Sun at 16 degrees and 7 minutes Aries, affecting people with personal planets and points at 12 to 20 degrees of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn) most significantly.

Details
The Moon is New in Aries on April 20, 2023, at 12:12 AM EDT. This is a New Moon annular total Solar Eclipse that occurs in the final degree of Aries: at 29° Aries 50′.
This eclipse is the first in an Aries-Libra set. At the same time, it occurs in the last degree of Aries, pointing to strong impulses and pivotal feelings.
Its effects can be felt for up to six months after the actual date of the eclipse. In the sign of Aries, this eclipse puts matters related to personal plans, courage, independence, and self-assertion in strong focus. It’s about new beginnings regarding any of these issues. Long-term changes are in the works!
This phase of the Moon occurs at 29 degrees and 50 minutes of Aries.
A similar Solar Eclipse (at approximately the same degree of Aries) occurred on April 19th, 2004. Before that, it was April 18, 1977. An eclipse set along the Aries-Libra axis most recently occurred from 2013-2016. Before that, it was from 2004-2006.
This eclipse can illuminate and challenge our issues surrounding independence and personal courage. We might take steps towards self-mastery and self-empowerment by tackling things that undermine us.
Circumstances nudge or encourage us to see where we haven’t been true to our authentic selves. Ultimately, we are now in a position to understand that changes or endings are necessary for our own growth, and that we can handle these things.
This is a good time for focusing on some of the constructive traits of the sign of the Ram–enterprising, straightforward, sincere, brave–and consider how to positively incorporate these qualities into our lives. Aries New Moons are generally good for taking action – trying something new and innovative, and going at it with gusto and confidence;. It’s a time to be assertive, take charge of our lives, start a brand new project, and discover our own personal courage.
It’s a powerful time to re-evaluate our relationship with ourselves. With this potent Aries energy, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives. Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, and thus a New Moon in Aries is especially ripe with opportunity for new beginnings. We might consider acting on a constructive impulse and following a hunch or taking a risk. Aries learns through experience and action, so we might treat ourselves to a little adventure now.
It’s also a good cycle under which to discover the benefits of expressing ourselves with authenticity – expressing ourselves as we are, without putting on airs. We might also find ways to learn how to rely on ourselves and to be happy about doing so – it will go a long way towards finding inner happiness when we know that we can be self-sufficient without blaming others for not helping us out. It’s a time to revitalize ourselves through experiences that break the routine and that involve doing something new and fresh.
The New Moon forms a square to Pluto, suggesting some obstacles to clear as we wrestle with our fears and ambitions. However, it aligns with Jupiter, encouraging resourcefulness, courage, and a good sense of opportunity. As well, Mars, the ruler of Aries, harmonizes with the North Node, pointing to a good sense of growing and improving through our experiences and new projects or initiatives.
With this eclipse, we might experience a strong urge to act on impulse. However, it will be important to avoid jumping to conclusions and asserting ourselves without considering others’ feelings and reactions. There is a big difference between asserting ourselves from a place of healthy confidence, and asserting ourselves brashly and blindly, which can give us a false sense of confidence or bravery.
With this potent Aries energy, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives that will benefit us well beyond this Moon cycle. For some of us, circumstances are such that we need to pay more attention to these matters.
Flaws in an important system in our lives reveal themselves around the time of the eclipse, prompting us to redo or to start fresh. Something ends in order for something else to start anew. We may be called to give up something in order to move forward into a new chapter in our lives. Although the “new” may be unrecognizable, it is important to allow the necessary surrender to the unknown.
An eclipse occurs close to the nodal axis, and this eclipse is closer to the North Node of the Moon. While we’re heading into unknown territory in some ways, we have a good sense that we’re doing so to our advantage.
Major developments in the personal areas ruled by Aries in our charts are likely to occur over the upcoming months.
The above chart is excellent for seeing the fundamental influences and chart pattern of this New Moon. The chart below adds more details with additional points. Click to enlarge:

The Moon is Full in Scorpio on May 5, 2023, at 1:34 PM EDT. This Full Moon is an Annular Lunar Eclipse.
A Full Moon occurs when the Sun in Taurus forms an opposition to the Moon in Scorpio. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time – a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 14 degrees and 58 minutes of Scorpio, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 10 to 20 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) most significantly.
The Taurus-Scorpio polarity deals with the balance between all that is mine (Taurus) and all that is yours (Scorpio). It also emphasizes the concept of form (Taurus) versus transformation (Scorpio). While Taurus deals with matter, personal values, material goods, possessions, and security, Scorpio rules the destruction of form, shared possessions, change, and transformation. The Sun in Taurus encourages happiness with the simple, tangible things in life, while the Scorpio Moon draws our attention to complexities, intangibles, and mysteries.
Neglecting either end of the axis will surely backfire on us. Ideally, a balance should be found between the two energies, and this is what the Full Moon invites us to do. This Full Moon is about emotional declarations. Something has been building inside of us, likely of an intimate nature, and now is the time when the energy of the cosmos fairly demands that we let it out.
Over the coming months, we will discover what this declaration means for us. For now, we can’t sit on our feelings — we need to express them. The Full Moon illuminates this conflict between collecting and sharing.
With the Moon full and bright in the sky, symbolic “illumination” occurs in our own lives. However, these new feelings and revelations are emotional ones, as emotions burst forth into our consciousness. It’s time to express ourselves and to let things out of our systems. Of course, we might want to exercise some care while doing so, knowing that what is coming out of us is new and not particularly rational as yet.

Because this Full Moon is a Lunar Eclipse and part of a set of eclipses falling along the Taurus-Scorpio axis (from November 2021 to October 2023), it holds significant weight and is one of several cosmic pushes toward understanding and improving our attachments, financial state, and intimate life. The Moon is New in Taurus on May 19, 2023, at 11:53 AM EDT.
The following is the chart wheel of the Taurus New Moon in 2023. The last New Moon in Taurus was a Solar Eclipse, but this is a “regular” New Moon.
The New Moon in Taurus marks the beginning of a new cycle. The Aries New Moon cycle ends and the Taurus New Moon cycle begins.
The New Moon in Taurus is a good time to commit to personal goals that express the positive energies of the sign of the Bull. It’s time to enjoy life’s simple and physical pleasures–savor good food and enjoy activities that bring us in touch with nature and with our bodies. It’s time to stop and smell the roses and to become more aware of what makes us feel comfortable and secure. This is a good cycle under which to re-evaluate our relationship to money and possessions and to discover what truly makes us happy and fulfilled.
This New Moon harmonizes with Mars, Neptune, and Pluto, suggesting that our inspiration, motivation, and determination support our efforts to begin fresh. Mars and Pluto are heading toward an opposition, and the tension can stir ambition, although there can be some paranoia or fear-driven behavior involved.
With this potent Taurus energy, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives. It’s time to make some solid and realistic plans and to set the stage for reaping the rewards from our new beginnings, as little or big as they may be, in approximately two weeks’ time after the Full Moon occurs.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 28 degrees and 25 minutes of Taurus, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 24 to 30 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) and 0 to 2 degrees of the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) the most significantly.

The Moon is Full in Sagittarius on June 3, 2023, at 11:42 PM EDT.
A Full Moon occurs when the Sun in Gemini forms an opposition to the Moon in Sagittarius. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time – a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.
We become more fully aware of what has been lacking or missing in our lives, particularly related to learning, adventure, spirited living, communicating, sharing, and commuting.
The Gemini-Sagittarius polarity is a mental axis, where Gemini represents the “lower mind” and Sagittarius represents the “higher mind.” The Gemini Sun encourages us to think logically, while the Sagittarius Moon persuades us to intuit and to think in a broader manner. Sagittarius symbolizes the quest for meaning and ideas that expand upon the “here and now.” Gemini is quite comfortable in its immediate environment or neighborhood, while Sagittarius stimulates us to venture beyond it.
Neglecting either end of the axis will surely backfire on us. Ideally, a balance should be found between the two energies, and this is what the Full Moon invites us to do.
This Full Moon is about communication, attitude, and sense of adventure. Something has been building inside of us, and now is the time when the energy of the cosmos fairly demands that we let it out. Over the next two weeks, we will discover what this means for us. For now, we can’t sit on our feelings–we need to express them.
The lunation illuminates this conflict between logic and intuition/faith. With the Moon full and bright in the sky, symbolic “illumination” occurs in our own lives. However, these new feelings and revelations are emotional ones, as there is a sense of emotions bursting forth into our consciousness. It’s time to express ourselves and to let things out of our systems. The following is a chart of this Full Moon with some additional points:
This phase of the Moon occurs at 13 degrees and 18 minutes of Sagittarius, opposite the Sun at 13 degrees and 18 minutes of Gemini, affecting people born with personal planets and points at 9 to 17 degrees of the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) most significantly.

The Moon is New in Gemini on June 18, 2023, at 12:37 AM EDT.
The New Moon in Gemini marks the beginning of a new cycle. The Taurus New Moon cycle ends and the Gemini New Moon cycle begins on June 18th. The following is the chart of this lunation.
The New Moon in Gemini cycle presents opportunities to commit to personal goals that express the positive energies of the sign of the Twins. It’s time to improve our communication skills by listening to others and enjoying others’ points of view, rather than doggedly seeking to find that one elusive “answer.”
This is a good cycle in which to re-evaluate our communication and social skills by questioning just how much we actually take in information and communicate in a friendly, non-threatening manner. With this potent Gemini energy, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives.
This lunation forms a square to Neptune, and some disillusionments are likely before we embark on a new path. We can be wrestling with perceptions and expectations. It’s hard to see our direction, but our discomfort with the past can be very real now, motivating new beginnings.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 26 degrees and 43 minutes of Gemini, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 23 to 30 degrees of the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) and 0 to 1 degrees of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn) the most significantly.
