Major Love Trends in 2013

While in many ways this is a “me” year for you, the “we” part is likely to run quite smoothly. Your attractiveness centers largely around your ability to express yourself with more confidence and verve in the first half of the year. This is due to Jupiter’s presence in your sign until June. Jupiter happens to be your partnership sector ruler, and this generally means that attracting a one-to-one relationship comes naturally right now. Even so, I don’t see 2013 as an especially other-centered year. You are coming into your own, and it’s a year of self-discovery in many ways.

Generally speaking, you are focused on new beginnings. You are not as interested in what happened in the past, preferring to move forward without restrictions. Recently, you’ve been reinventing yourself, and in the process, there may have been some people already in your life who have felt a little insecure about the changes you’ve been making. Do what you have to do to propel yourself forward, but be sensitive to those you hold dear.

Serious Saturn left your romance and entertainment sector in October 2012, and this can feel as if a weight has lifted. You are less self-conscious about expressing your unique creative vision, and you are not taking things quite as seriously. 2013 is very much a year in which many of your inhibitions are leaving you. You feel better about yourself, and this quality alone can bring more opportunities for love into your life. Partnerships should fare well this year, unless they are truly holding you back or cramping your style. Partners of Geminis need to give them some space and room to grow.

From June 25th forward, Jupiter leaves your sign (and won’t return for another twelve years or so), and you tend to settle down. This is a time of truly appreciating the comforts of life. Your expectations from relationships shift, with the second half of the year more about enjoying the comforts and security of a partner than anything. Love needs, and love itself, tend to stabilize.

Venus and Jupiter best represent your committed and casual love relationships. When Venus is in your own sign, you quite naturally attract others, and this occurs in 2013 from May 9 to June 2. Even so, you may be a little tentative about any prospects at that time, and it may not be before June 1st that you decide to take matters in your own hands. The Lunar Eclipse towards the end of May brings strong feelings about a relationship to the surface, and Mars entering your sign at the beginning of June provides you with more courage and a desire to take action.

Key Periods in 2013:

From March 26-April 8, powerful configurations occur in your friendship sector. It’s a good time for attending group meetings and connecting with friends, as some of you could find love through networking activities.

From May 9-June 2, Venus is in your sign. This is a time when the world seems to be speaking, or at least appreciating, your “love language”. It’s a period ripe with opportunity for attracting others, for turning on the charm, and for receiving positive feedback from partners or love interests. Love seems to come to you without the need for your pursuing it. Because Venus is your romance ruler, this is a doubly strong period – romance tends to pursue you!

As mentioned above, having Jupiter in your sign for the first half of 2013 is good for committed partnerships. Generally speaking, partnerships tend to be working in your favor. When Venus aligns with Jupiter, the ruler of your partnership sector, in your sign in the last few days of May, this is especially favorable.

Mars is in your sign from May 31-July 13, and it’s time to go after what (or who) you want with confidence. Eros is also in your sign from June 28-August 3 — another strong influence for courage and attractiveness. While when Venus was in your sign your appeal lay largely in your charm, receptiveness, and ability to draw people to you, these periods favor taking action. Others are attracted to your confidence and verve.

While Venus is in your romance sector, from August 16-September 10, your charm is easy and natural. It’s a playful, lighthearted, and magnetic period for love, particularly for casual love affairs. Your powers of attraction run high. Love comes to you rather than your having to pursue it.

Venus is in your partnership sector from October 7-November 4. This can soften your disposition, help to enhance a partnership or smooth over differences in same, and it may bring helpful, warm, and loving people into your experience.

From December 7th forward, Mars is in your romance sector, and the focus is on having fun, confidently going after what you want, and increased sexuality.
