From January 1 to 22, 2011, your spiritual world, compassion, private life, and tolerance continue to expand and grow. In the first week of January, new revelations and insights come to you in a flash. These will help you to prepare for the next growth phase that begins on January 22nd. Some of you might have personal eurekas, or experience unforeseen events revolving around release from your past in important ways, this week.
From January 22-June 4th, your personality, image, and confidence in yourself are expanding to new levels. Aries, you are filled with hope and optimism, and hell-bent on exploring the world around you. Freedom from restrictive ties or situations is what you crave.
This new need for freedom doesn’t come without opposition and perhaps a price! Some of the opposition or challenges can come through your career endeavors and goals (especially towards the end of February); a partner, significant other, or pursuit of a relationship (towards the end of March in particular); and from friends and group associations (especially in April).
Perhaps your pursuit of professional goals keeps you from getting out and enjoying yourself. Some of you could find that bosses are acting like heavies in your life. A partner might be putting the brakes on your need for more freedom, or attempting to do so. Alternatively, you could sense that a partner is disapproving, concerned or worried that he/she is losing you or your attention to other things that seem to be more exciting. Or, a relationship seems to be holding you back — tying you to a past that you’re trying to leave behind. Seek creative solutions to these problems. Don’t chuck out important things and people. Try to find a balance.
Potential negatives with this position: Weight gain, pompous behavior, restlessness, over-confidence, wastefulness. See to it that these things don’t ruin an otherwise excellent period.
From June 4th onward, money, personal possessions, and self-worth are expected to expand and grow. Your desire for security and comfort is hearty now, and you’ll pursue these things with more confidence and verve. You feel that you deserve more!
July through October is especially strong for attracting more money from your professional endeavors and for expanding a business. You might also more easily attract support from others (but be careful if you are suddenly in the position to receive, for example, a credit line or sizeable loan – spend wisely). Money from self-employment for those of you in this position should be strong from June through December.
Potential negatives: Is it really possible that more money could be negative? Yes, when the attitude towards money is careless. If you are accumulating personal possessions too quickly, this can lead to clutter and disorganization. This year, the area of your life that requires a “back to basics” approach is the sector that rules close personal relationships, such as marriages and other committed partnerships, long-term associations, open enemies, negotiations, agreements, and contracts. There may be tests of sorts in these areas of life, as if the universe is checking that the foundations are strong. Things built on weak foundations may very well crack under the pressure of these tests. Those that are strong will endure and strengthen.
Tests can come to close, long-term relationships in 2011. Some of you have already experienced this influence in 2010. For those of you who are in committed partnerships, there can be some strains on your bond this year. A partner might also seem cautious, distant, critical, or defensive. Until March 11th, you face the need to detach yourself from certain areas of your private life and your past. This is in preparation for the changes that are to take place in the next cycle of independence. You are working on changing your attitudes towards change and towards your attachment to the past. You can make some startling conclusions that seem to come from deep within during this cycle, but particularly in the first week of January. These are personal eurekas that subtly point you in the right direction – the aim now is to free yourself from attitudes that have restricted you from moving forward with your life, and to rid yourself of behaviors that keep you from expressing your uniqueness and independence.
From March 11th onwards, the image you present to the world and your personality begin to change quite rapidly. You are embracing change, pushing yourself beyond your normal limits, expressing your independent streak, and taking a few personal risks.
Potential negatives: While personal changes are necessary and perhaps inevitable, foolish risk-taking and pointless rebellion are not! You don’t need to throw away everything from your past or totally clean your slate in order to express your independence. Tame your urges to rebel just for the sake of it.
