Steven Forrest is one of the finest astrological writers of our generation. His very popular books The Changing Sky and The Inner Sky (both mass-market paperbacks) attest to this. His Sky Log report combines both transits and progressions into an extremely useful report, describing the relationship between your own birth chart and the current motion of the planets.

The report is cast for a one-year time period—a full-year report runs from 50-100 pages, depending upon your planet activity.

Cafe Astrology Note: This report differs from other transit reports in that it is written in a style that is conversational. Major transits and progressions are delineated step-by-step, and are ideal for students of astrology because the interpretations encourage readers to think astrologically. Note that the quality of the reports are high, but we offer them at low prices because we want them to be accessible to our readers. Also, we are not set up to deliver reports instantly online. Where Are You Now?

The Progressions report uses the time-honored technique called Secondary Progressions to interpret your life path. Secondary progressions represent a symbolic movement of the planets and cusps of the birth chart. This progressed motion is based on the idea that naturally occurring cycles (e.g., days, weeks, months, years) can be compared proportionally.

When interpreting secondary progressions, we compare the positions of the planets and other horoscope factors for a particular time after birth with their locations in the birth chart.

The aspects formed by the secondary progressed planets and cusps among themselves and with the natal placements indicate the unfolding of major life trends. The progressions act like the unfolding of the "genetic code" of the birth chart.

This report interprets the planets' sign and house positions as well as the progressed aspects for a period of 2 years. The report averages 15 pages.
