Jupiter has recently been giving you a real boost in confidence, but at the same time, Saturn’s influence on your life has probably put a bit of a damper on your enthusiasm. This contrast of planetary influences continues for you until June this year, with the exception of those born October 24 to October 27th who are now free of the influence. Saturn’s influence on your Sun is a rather somber one. You experience doses of reality, which is not a bad thing by all means, but it doesn’t always feel great. Essentially, you have an increased need for recognition and appreciation during this period. Because you are more sensitive to these needs, when you don’t seem to be getting the appreciation you want, it can feel like the whole world is against you. This is not the time to push forward aggressively. Rather, it’s a good time to simply work hard and get your life organized for better times to come. Your career dreams may be just in reach, and you are bound to be working hard, with new responsibilities and increased focus. This focus may put a bit of a strain on your home life, however. Try not to neglect your more basic needs for security and comfort on the home front. Jupiter and Saturn influencing you so strongly at the same time will help you to be confident without being over-bearing, and to be realistic without pessimism. It may not seem like you are making much headway the first half of the year, but things are sure to get moving from mid-year onwards. Don’t push yourself too hard in June and July, when the Jupiter square to Saturn in the cosmos might bring things to a head. May is a more peaceful month when a grand trine boosts your social life. An especially potent period for you is the last week of October and the first week of November. The Sun, Venus, and Mars move hand-in-hand in your sign, offering you opportunities to attract what (and who!) you want. The second and third weeks of April are good ones for attracting good times as well.

Scorpio (Born November 3 to 12) – 10 to 20 degrees Scorpio:

From the beginning of the year until October, Jupiter transits your Sun (or Ascendant). The pursuit of pleasure is high up on your list of priorities, and, as long as you don’t overdo it, you are likely to find yourself enjoying life more than usual. Your hunger for satisfaction in partnership and in life in general is strong during this period. It’s a good time to focus your energies on a pet project, get your finances in order, and get yourself out there. You should enjoy more self-confidence and the projection of a fresh “new you” is bound to attract attention. Promotions are possible, and new connections likely. What you need to do is grab opportunities when they come up, or they might pass you by.

Another strong influence on your life this year is Neptune in square to your Sun. You may begin to question where it is you are headed in life, and you could attract some unusual circumstances into your life as you begin to break down ego boundaries. What you found satisfying to your ego thus far in life may come up for inspection. You want more, but defining “more” can be a challenge until the transit progresses further.

Complicating matters somewhat will be Saturn’s transit in square to your Sun, which begins in July. As such, as the year ahead closes in, you could find yourself smack dab in the middle of an identity crisis. The best advice is to plan well while Jupiter transits your Sun. Build your confidence any way you can, and prepare for a few changes in your life path. Take stock of what you have been doing with your life, and try to pinpoint what it is that you might be missing or repressing. As the year progresses, chances are you will come face to face with these issues, and preparing in advance can only help you face potential obstacles with the power of mindfulness.

The first half of May is perhaps by far the most favorable period of the year. A grand trine in the cosmos directly affects your Sun, and it can open up all sorts of opportunities, mostly social. You might stumble upon an unexpected opportunity to travel, for example. Some conflicts regarding finding a balance between home life and your career may surface or reach a head in August and September. Mid-November is a high-attraction time for you, and you enjoy a real boost to your vitality at that time. The month of March is another charismatic period when you are able to attract what (and who!) you want.

In the last year and into 2006, you have likely been building your spiritual confidence in subtle ways. You begin to feel more confident and settled on a psychological level, and you are less affected or intimidated by your usual fears and inhibitions as Jupiter moves closer to your Sun (or Ascendant). This subtle yet powerful influence serves as a preparation for Jupiter’s movement over your Sun, which occurs in October and November, when you are ready to put your newfound confidence “out there” for everyone to see. You feel more connected with your natural instincts during this period, which boosts your confidence in your own already uncanny intuition! Some level of introspection characterizes the period, but it is not a lonely sort of self-absorption by all means. Self-contentment is a more apt word to describe it.

October through to the end of the year begins a new cycle in which you are under the influence of both Jupiter and Saturn concurrently. If you find it unlucky to experience a square from Saturn to your Sun right at the time of a Jupiter conjunction, an influence that occurs only every 12 years and is generally thought of as especially favorable, think again. Saturn helps to keep confidence developing into over-confidence or arrogance. It also offers you a dose of reality when you might very well need it most–when you have an urge to live beyond your means, for example. You may find yourself more ambitious than ever as Saturn moves to the very top of your solar chart.

Transiting Pluto this year can open up financial doors for you where you least expect them, and most likely involving resources that are already around you but that are untapped.

Mid-April to mid-May is an especially favorable period for you to take a chance, attract romance, or speculate wisely. Mid-November is a high-energy period when you get noticed, so turn on the charm!
