Site Design Change
I wanted to thank my readers for your patience, and to apologize for inconveniences caused by my site’s design changes! I have just moved Cafe Astrology to a new platform with a responsive design. This has been a long time coming, mainly because the site is very large and I had a hard time finding the time to make the change.
The site is now using the new design and the design is responsive (meaning the content will adapt to a reader’s screen size), but there are some technical issues to iron out. On May 10th when I first published the new design, there were some unanticipated problems with links. I had mentally prepared for some problems and a lot of updates, but there were far more “issues” than I had expected. (I do realize that I opted to do this during Mercury and Mars retrogrades!). At the very least, I managed to get the daily horoscope platform working properly (technical problems) and many of the important links updated. However, there are still many broken links and some page updates to do.
Because this design was started over a year ago, some of the first pages converted have old months/weeks on them and they require my updates. Nothing is lost – I have all of the backed up files in the old format – but they need to get onto the new pages, which takes time. I assure you that I am working very hard on this and that there is nobody more upset than I am when the site is not working properly. I made the decision to work on the problems live instead of closing things down for maintenance, largely because many of the problems were only discovered after moving the site from a development stage to a live one.
So….for now, there are quite a few broken links. I am going through the site page by page, and there are thousands to deal with. There have been many people writing to me to let me know of specific problems, and I appreciate it.
If there are certain page updates or links that you want me to prioritize, please email with either the URL or a good description of the page(s). I say “good description” not to criticize but to clarify that from my end, if I am told to update “the page for Libra”, for example, there are many different pages that could fall under that description. From a reader’s point of view, it’s not always obvious that there are multiple calendars, horoscopes, and so forth, that can apply, so specifics always help me.
Eventually, everything will be updated and fixed, but if there is something that’s important to you, please let me know. Once basic functionality is restored, I am excited about the possibilities of this platform and the improvements I will be able to make to the site, but for now, I apologize again for the inconveniences caused by this update.

P.S. I am receiving many emails asking where the right-hand navigation column is on the site. It’s still there – you will see it if you are accessing from a desktop or laptop and from some wider tablets. However, if your screen is small, the right sidebar will move under the main content, so you will need to scroll down the page to see it.
