Mercury trines Pluto and then opposes Neptune today, and our desire for depth, magic, meaning, complexity, and imagination in our communications, thoughts, and personal interests comes on strongly.

With the Mercury-Pluto trine, we seek truths and unexplored topics and ideas. It can be a time to gain a deeper understanding of a matter. Our mental faculties are attuned to otherworldly impressions, offering increased insight, psychological understanding, awareness, and focused attention.

We might discover new information that gives us an edge or finally “see” the truth of a matter we’ve been avoiding. It’s an excellent time to let go of something that has kept us bound to negative elements of the past. Conversations can be gently provocative.

Mercury’s opposition to Neptune can obscure our viewpoint, however. We may vacillate between two very different visions of a matter when the truth is likely somewhere in between. Discrepancies that challenge our thinking can emerge, and concentrating on technical facts can be difficult. We could find ourselves on a mental teeter-totter, see-sawing between fact and fiction! If our minds wander now, it may be that we’ve recently neglected to feed our imaginations.

During this transit, we should watch for misrepresentation, overlooked practical details, and self-defeating thoughts. However, this can be a good opportunity to stretch our thinking and consider possibilities we might overlook on a regular day.

A Mars-Uranus semi-square adds an impatient edge to the day’s energies. We may seek to dominate or assert our independence if we feel trapped, restricted, or otherwise limited.

However, the Moon in Libra all day inclines us to smooth things over and harmonize.
