Mercury stations and turns direct today, after retrograde motion since November 9th. With the planet of communication switching gears, the shift itself can point to some disorientation and crossed wires today.

It also means that in the coming days and weeks, problems with communications and decision-making we may have encountered during Mercury’s retrograde cycle will clear up. We’ll be able to apply our observations and new perspective to our lives as we advance.

We could feel flooded with energies that are hard to make sense of today, however, and thus we might try to avoid important decision-making for the time being, as our thinking can be skewed and illogical temporarily. It’s a better day to take in rather than take action!

Today’s Mars-Jupiter and Venus-Chiron biquintiles are creative, stirring our motivation to produce, act, grow, and improve. We’re excited to make our own luck, are very resourceful and can find much to look forward to. We might gain social advantage by being willing to grow, learn, and listen.

Still, a Venus-Uranus opposition might often dominate the day’s energies, and unexpected events or feelings may take us off guard. Our feelings, attractions, or people in our lives can surprise us now.

Some instability, restlessness, and rebelliousness are themes in our social interactions. Our needs for comfort and togetherness clash with the desire to be free and independent.

Indeed, we can experience sudden infatuations with people or material items that later prove less appealing. As such, it’s not a good time to start a significant financial undertaking or relationship — not until rebellious feelings pass and we gain a better sense of how we honestly feel.

Falling back on old patterns of relating won’t work now. Still, if we can separate rebellion from a sincere need for change, we might open ourselves to new ways of relating that accommodate our diverse needs.
