This morning, Mercury forms a quincunx with Chiron, suggesting possible awkwardness with, or a lack of confidence in, our assessments, conversations, or ideas.

However, as the day advances, a Mercury-Venus alignment brings on a pleasant desire to express ourselves. There can be a focus on analyzing feelings or relationships.

We are inclined to chat, socialize, and flatter when Mercury and Venus meet, and with Mercury retrograde, we may be looking back and clarifying feelings or connections. This cooperative influence stirs our desire for harmony and balance, and as a result, we may not dig too deeply.

Mentally, we’re not as disciplined as usual, preferring to chat with others and to think about pleasant things. While it’s an agreeable influence, it’s also a time to look back at old issues in a new, though possibly glossed-over, way. Whether or not glossing over is helpful may be the question — some things belong in the past.

Still, we can feel as if we are starting fresh in some manner, and our ideas feel new and exciting, even if we are recycling some old perspectives.

With the Sun’s trine to Ceres today, we seek nourishment from one another and naturally nurture and support others in turn. Doing so is rewarding. Needs and cravings seem to be in harmony, or at least not in conflict.

This transit encourages building or attending to a relationship or creative pursuit.
