The New Moon occurs early today–at 5:00 AM EDT–in the sign of Pisces, and it’s a time for a new beginning or fresh start. We’re gathering the inspiration to take a leap of faith.

With this potent Pisces energy, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives in the weeks ahead. We’re motivated to carve out time for peaceful and rejuvenating activities or to entertain a dream and perhaps share it with someone special.

With the Sun moving away from Saturn and heading toward Neptune, we have our responsibilities in mind, but we’re also picking up steam in the faith or inspiration department. The New Moon’s harmony with Uranus points to further inspiration and a belief in progress. Reinforcing this: the major bodies are all direct, contributing to a feeling of moving forward.

Also today, Mercury forms a sextile with Pluto, improving our ability to see more layers of a situation. We might discover further information that gives us an edge or finally “see” the truth of a matter we’ve avoided. It’s a powerful time to look more deeply into a topic. We benefit from being patient and strategic in our decision-making and are willing to look beyond the surface of things. Conversations are probing, investigative, and meaningful, and we may develop an improved psychological understanding of our lives. It’s a good time to let go of something that has kept us bound or stuck in a difficult position.
