Mercury forms a sextile with Venus today, and we enjoy pleasant exchanges. We communicate with warmth and style, and we more readily compromise, negotiate, please, and clarify things. The tendency to verbalize or analyze our feelings and relationships is strong with this influence.

This transit favors diplomacy, charm, social graces, presentation of ideas, romantic overtures, teaching, business deals, publishing, commerce, public relations, and joint ventures or partnerships. It’s particularly helpful for smoothing things over on this day after Mercury ended its retrograde.

We’re heading towards a Neptune-Pluto sextile, an outer-planet transit with long-term influence. This is the first of many such aspects while Neptune is in Aries and Pluto is in Aquarius–Neptune and Pluto will form this sextile exactly thirteen times until 2032!

With this influence, we are especially able to see the layers of a situation. We’re intrigued by what makes things work and by people’s motivations, as well as economics, natural resources, parapsychology, and politics. It’s a time of rich experiences and cultural movements, transformative scientific thought and advancement, and of paying more sensitive attention to human rights.

Psychic energy is intense but not overwhelmingly so during this phase of spiritual unclogging. We seek a sense of purpose or magic now, wanting to elevate what’s mundane or ordinary in our lives. We might work on deepening our intuition, imagination, or compassion, or we might feel more compelled to act on these things to make a change.
