Mercury forms a sextile to the North Node, and then later today, it leaves Capricorn and enters Aquarius. We might connect with information or people who encourage us to grow, improve, or move forward.

Mercury will transit Aquarius until February 14th, and during this cycle, we’re hungry for knowledge and open to new and original ideas. Our thinking is progressive and objective. We’re reasonable, finding it easier to separate intellect and emotion when assessing a situation. Our communication and thought patterns are spontaneous, somewhat fragmented, reasonable, objective, and liberal. This is a time when inventive thinking is at a peak.

Although progressive-minded and receptive to new studies and information, we are not quick to sway from our ideas and beliefs.

During this cycle, we take more interest in daring or original thinking. As we envision a better future, we can develop truly interesting ideas and concepts. The Moon spends the day in Capricorn, and we’re business-minded and mostly cool-headed. However, a Moon-Mars opposition excites our passions, primarily through our interactions. We should watch for impulsive decisions and actions.
