Very early today, Mercury’s trine with Uranus is potentially enlightening. We can come up with innovative ideas to improve our daily lives. It’s a time of heightened perception and unusual but workable ideas.

The Sun forms a sextile with Neptune today, shortly before it leaves the sign of Capricorn and enters Aquarius. This Sun-Neptune transit encourages us to tune in to our imagination and intuition. It enhances instinctual judgment. We see things from a perspective that celebrates our differences.

This influence sets an excellent mood for respecting our intuition. We take things as they come, finding meaning in our experiences more readily than usual. We’re tuned in, inspired, and charitable. What feels like serendipity now may be due to a good sense of timing and a sense of being in sync with the universe.

The Sun heads into the sign of Aquarius today for a visit until February 18th. During this cycle, we are motivated by our need for knowledge, experience, and originality. Innovation is more important to us than convention.

Our attention turns to what’s outdated in our lives, and we strive to find new perspectives and methods. The structure and order that Capricorn found appealing now seem too rigid. The freedom of the individual becomes far more significant to us. We strive to free ourselves from some of the restrictions, inhibitions, and limitations that now feel constraining rather than safe in the month ahead.

However, we can be unreliable, unpredictable, or too rebellious for our own good when the Sun is under strain.

Venus aligns with Pluto tonight, and we’re more protective, intense, or private with our affections, tastes, money, and pleasures today. It’s a time of intense feelings and a stronger connection with our deeper wants. We’re looking to grow, change, or intensify our relationships, money, pleasures, or social lives–or grow ourselves through these things.

However, we might try to sway, coerce, and manipulate others, or we may seek more from our relationships or pastimes. It’s a time when we can be incredibly focused and perhaps obsessed, especially when interacting. There is a tendency to want–and demand–more than usual from a partnership or friendship.

We also approach a Saturn-Uranus sextile and Mars in harmony with both planets, exact early tomorrow. It’s a fine time to fix problems and strike a nice balance between tradition and progress.
