Mars forms a quintile with Saturn this morning, and we’re particularly skilled at sorting, ordering, and planning. There can be a willingness to make sacrifices if it seems to be the best way to make improvements, and, with a game plan, we’re ready to exercise patience. Our timing is good for both business and personal pursuits, as we’re inclined to strategize and prepare well.

Venus enters Libra this afternoon, where it will transit until September 10th. Libra is its own sign, and Venus performs well in it.

During this cycle, we’re not fond of out-and-out competition or aggressive pursuit, preferring win-win situations. We are quite willing to negotiate and compromise and can be very obliging with others. We’re also idealistic about love, and we seek intellectual peers. We prefer things to be done a particular way, and aggressive or uncouth behavior turns us off.

The shadow expression of this position includes over-dependence and superficiality. To avoid unpleasant situations, we could gloss over deeper issues in our relationships. It’s probably best to avoid the trap of acquiescing to partners while privately resenting it or thinking ourselves martyrs for doing so.

While Venus is in Libra, we are more artistically inclined or seek balance in our personal environment. This cycle promotes cooperation, harmony, mutually beneficial connections, and fairness. We’re more likely to prosper in partnership, through one-to-one associations, such as counseling, or in fields related to harmony, relationships, beauty, design, and the law. We attract things to us and appeal to others through gentleness and kindness.

Note that Venus will return to Libra while retrograde on October 25th. Venus will turn retrograde in the sign of Scorpio on October 3rd, and then will dip back into Libra on the 25th. The retrograde cycle will end on November 13th, and Venus will continue to transit Libra until December 4th.

The Sun forms a trine with Saturn today, and it feels grounding and steadying. With this transit, we readily draw upon self-discipline. We can enjoy a real sense of strength and pride in our ability to meet our responsibilities.

This transit supports moderation and helps us feel stable. We are aware of our limitations and are willing to accept them. Enjoyment of our duties or obligations can be in focus.

This trine occurs in Fire signs, and we can feel particularly empowered directing our energy and enthusiasm in practical, helpful ways.
