The Lunar Eclipse occurs today at 12:18 AM EDT in the sign of Pisces. It’s a time of sudden realizations, epiphanies, culminations, and turning points, particularly related to work and service as well as our need for downtime, rest, and spiritual replenishment.

This Lunar Eclipse prompts us to examine more closely what we perceive as lacking in our lives. Virgo rules the tools and techniques we use to deal with day-to-day life, while Pisces rules the tools we use to deal with our spiritual selves. The key to balance is identifying and expressing our spiritual needs while maintaining order in our everyday lives. Neglecting either end of the axis will surely backfire–we would either be living in chaos or excessive order.

It’s a time to take special note of our dreams, insights, or thoughts/emotions that seem to come from “out of the blue”. Secrets may reveal themselves, including secrets within ourselves. For some, a new calling will surface in the weeks and months ahead. We may realize that we need more rest or attention to our spiritual natures than we currently allow ourselves. Decisions made now can be emotionally driven.

Because one area of our lives is magnified while another is hidden, it’s best to wait and see. This eclipse is the sixth in a sign set of seven that began last September and runs until February 2027. Occurring close to the time of a Superior Conjunction of the Sun and Mercury, an epiphany, illumination of a matter, or a clearing of the air is likely and significant. We are communicative and open at this time, and what we say or write now has a strong impact, for better or worse! An idea or plan can come to full bloom.

The Sun, Moon, Mercury, and Venus clash with Uranus today, and we should watch for rebellious behavior or flip decisions tied to our revelations now. These transits add abruptness and tension to our interactions, activities, thinking patterns, and conversations. Our senses are hyper-stimulated. There can be sudden flashes of insight or fresh new ideas, but our plans may not come together well just yet. We may be impatient with routine matters or monotonous tasks.

These influences can temporarily disrupt parts of our lives or highlight problem areas that already exist. Changes we make now may feel out of character or abrupt. Our strong desire for independence or to break the rules could impair our judgment. Disruptions can pull up buried frustrations, which we should probably examine more closely, as it can certainly be a time to learn something new about ourselves.

We should also question whether we’re rebelling against information or employing healthy skepticism, as the former keeps us beholden to others and vulnerable to poor decision-making, while the latter is more genuine and independent. Disorganization or bluntness in our communications is likely. Information can surface now that upsets the status quo. Ideally, these energies encourage new ways of thinking and relating.
