Mercury forms a sextile with Uranus and then later today, enters Aries.

This afternoon’s Mercury-Uranus sextile opens our minds and boosts our willingness to entertain new methods and ideas. We’re just detached enough from a matter to gain perspective, and our ideas, conversations, and musings are unique, forward-looking, and ahead of their time.

Original, creative ideas and theories come naturally. We can take advantage of this by solving problems in new, innovative ways. Varying our usual routine can be especially rewarding, and ideas for doing so abound.

The Moon spends the day in Pisces, harmonizing with Jupiter and Venus, and awakening our need for spiritual refreshment or escape. We’re tolerant and mellow, and we’re easily touched.

Today’s transits are also strong for motivation levels with work, projects, or personal interests. There can be opportunities to pursue absorbing topics and projects. We’re seeking more joy and meaning in our pursuits, and especially our obligations.

Mercury enters Aries today after an extended stay in Pisces, and we’re waking up!

Until May 2nd, this Mercury cycle can feel refreshingly decisive and forward-looking. It can certainly be a time when we’re a bit impatient or terse, but it can feel good not to dwell or spend too much time arriving at conclusions in the weeks ahead.

We’re less concerned with objective viewpoints and explanations during this cycle and more interested in reaching a decision quickly. We want to pioneer and innovate, or be the first ones with the idea. It’s time to speak more spontaneously and directly with the planet of communication in bold and assertive Aries.
