Children’s Sun Signs
Your Child’s Sun Sign
Your Aries Child
Aries is a Fire sign on the action cross. Its symbol is The Ram (she bucks!) Your little firecracker is apt to go for it! Do it now and ask questions later may be her natural way! Fire inspires and she is apt to be enterprising, a born leader! She is probably quite daring and not afraid to try out something new. “Let me do it my way!” may be her favorite phrase if she takes the time to ask! You may have to help her balance a “me first” approach by learning to consider the needs of others.
The Aries child enjoys making choices and needs plenty of opportunity to make decisions. She will learn by experience and consequences rather than by pure advice! Because she tends to leap before she looks, you may need extraordinary patience in helping her learn to abide by the rules. Remember, her greatest test in life could be acquiring patience, easier said than done when the fire to act rises up within her!
At school, she tends to be competitive (especially if Mercury is in Aries, less so if Mercury is in Taurus or Pisces). You might hear, “Oh, Mom, I know that already” when in reality, she has only had one lesson! Patience, again, is what she needs to get through, plus the humility to admit someone else just may know better sometimes!
Aries is the sign of ego, the whole gamut of “ego games” coming under this sign; from temper tantrums to feigned passivity. Teach your child to be true to her “REAL ME”! Your child is likely to be assertive, first in line, and may become angry if told she has to wait! She could be hot-headed and prone to argumentation. Give her just recognition for achievement and right action, but bragging is to be discouraged. She needs room to roam but then again, fences might be a good idea. Toddler Arians especially can burst through the door before you know what happened! We all have to learn to respect necessary limitations and Arian children are no exception! Flaunting the rules amounts to arrogance, a misuse of Arian energy! Because they are so energetic, Arian children often excel at sports. Even as a younger elementary student, your child may enjoy disciplined physical activity such as ballet, gymnastics and/or martial arts. Arian babies benefit by lots of room in which to creep and crawl!
Your Taurus Child
Taurus is an Earth sign on the feeling cross. Its symbol is The Bull. Earth sign children need proper materials and assignments to get to work! Your Taurean is practical and purposeful. She may start with blocks or in the sandbox and later go on to bigger things, but her theme is “I build”!
Taurean children are sensorial; they love to touch, smell, listen. Clay is a favorite medium, as are polished stones. Trips to the seashore, the forest and other places full of sounds and sights and wonderful textures can captivate the little Taurean. Taureans are known to have “green thumbs.” Give your child her own vegetable patch and child-size tools and she is likely to be busy all summer! Taureans are the gourmets of the zodiac (Taurus comes up a lot in the charts of cooks and restaurant owners). Your Taurean child might have much to say about what she will and will not eat. Above all, the Taurean child seeks comfort and security in material things. If she overeats, she may actually be seeking comfort through her food. She needs good eating habits. Taurean children that are over-indulged by parents can become indolent in the lap of luxury.
Taurean children are generally willing to listen to others, take cues, and then reflect and build upon that information. Others may find your child gentle, steady, and, for the most part, kind. But the bull can be stubborn indeed! Avoid locking horns with the Taurean youngster. The more you push, the more unyielding she is likely to become. You may need to have the Taurean preschooler sit by herself in a designated chair until her obstinacy passes. Then remind her of the rules and gently but firmly apply the consequences. Remember: she is ruled by Venus, planet of love. Rather than confronting your child head-on, you will get better results if you go around the back door and enter by love! Stubbornness as tenacity, persistence, and determination may be the bedrock of her future success, so seek challenging tasks and projects that will interest her and bring out her natural stick-to-it-tivity! Your child is apt to be patient, responsive and slow to anger.
Your child may identify with her things, holding on to old slippers and habits way beyond their usefulness. She may try to “possess” her friends. Taurean children like to rule the roost and she may want to be the boss around the house. If so, you just may have to remind her who is who in your household! Teach her obedience in stages, and teach her to let go!
Taurus is ruled by Venus, planet of beauty and the arts. Since Taurus also relates to the throat, many fine singers and more than a few famous composers are natives of this sign. Even baby Taureans will respond to a lovely voice, the sound of rippling water, a lullaby! As your child matures, you may notice a love for fine and beautiful things in the clothes she selects. Taurus is a practical (Earth) sign on the fixed cross. Unless other aspects in the chart indicate otherwise, little Taureans may not respond well to change when it is unexpected or unannounced. If she becomes rigid and not willing to budge, she may be telling you, “I’m scared.” Prepare your child for changes on your family agenda.
Your Gemini Child
Gemini is an Air sign on the thinking cross. Its symbol is The Twins. Gemini’s are here, there and everywhere and come up with a thousand questions! (Record her questions in a little book and then research the answers together.) Your little Gemini was born to investigate, search, and explore. She likely seeks to communicate by all available means: talking, writing, broadcasting, learning foreign languages. Phones and walky-talkies make a big hit! Some Gemini children are chatterboxes. Others are exceptionally witty. Teach your Gemini to be still and to listen to what others have to say.
All manner of transportation may catch her attention; scooters, bicycles, skates, whatever, anything in which to get around! Gemini children can be into many projects at once! A skill essential to your little Gemini’s future success is the ability to focus and complete the task at hand. As your Gemini grows, you might find ways, such as making lists, to help her order her mind and her tasks. She needs this training to develop good study habits and avoid dissipating her energy.
Gemini children are born mimics. They need good role models. Discernment is advised in the selection of books and movies, since little Gemini will copy (often verbatim) what she sees and hears. Sometimes the Gemini ability to pick up quickly amounts to a high degree of impressionability.
A good book is like a treasured friend to children of this double air (mind) sign. Stock up your library! The Gemini child is often the teacher’s pet because she loves to read and enjoys learning a broad range of subjects. Gemini children typically like learning at a fairly brisk pace. Gemini rules writing and journalism. Your child might benefit by keeping a diary. Later she may be interested in working on the school paper. Working with her hands could steady her restless mind. (Sewing, painting, building with legos, washing the dishes, planting) Gemini children seek variety in everything; clothes, food, books and in everyday experience. Some have trouble staying still! Teach your child to concentrate.
Your Cancer Child
Cancer is a Water sign on the action cross. Its symbol is The Crab. Cancers respond to being needed by caring for others. Water sign children are typically sensitive, responsive, affectionate and kind. Your Cancer child needs to feel secure. She is apt to need much love and reassurance, especially at home and from Mom. Learning how to master their feelings is a lifelong endeavor for Cancerians, much abetted by the right training in early childhood. Where do we first learn love but in the arms of our mother? And who is first to teach us discipline but she? Cancerians need to exercise self-discipline to ride the waves of changing moods and emotions. Sulking, brooding, feeling sorry for oneself, justifying wrong behavior and all manner of self-indulgence are squalls best to be avoided! Assure your child that you love her but never give in to whining!
Cancer is the sign of the mother and like a good mother, the Cancer child often possesses good common sense and is mothering and protective to all. Water is reflective. Cancer children often love music, meditation and peaceful activities. Other Cancer favorites are cooking, growing things, caring for pets, fixing whatever. Many Cancer children are multi-talented.
Your child may “pick up” on what adults are feeling. Therefore its vital to always be honest with her. Of all the signs, Cancer is the most family-oriented, and the most influenced by the environment. On the natural wheel, Cancer is placed on the nadir, the lowest point, and so signifies our roots and heritage. The healthy tree must have strong roots and herein lies the fundamental determining factor between the Cancer child who grows up to sustain and nurture others as a self-sufficient individual and the neglected Cancer child, fearful of rejection, that later hungers for security as a clinging vine (or smothering protector) in adult relationships. Childhood impressions may last for life!
The crab carries his house on his back! Like the crab, with a hard shell but soft inside, the Cancer child may hide in her room and sulk, or enter a world of her own making, if her feelings have been hurt or to escape a harsh environment. Keep communication open, but discourage whining and emotional manipulation. Your little Cancerian likely loves to give to others, but like the crab, may fear to let go of possessions or friends. Life will teach her the difference between tenacity and possessiveness. Encourage self-reliance in your Cancer child who may tend to hold unto Mommy’s apron strings.
Your Leo Child
Leo is a Fire sign on the feeling cross. Its symbol is The Lion. Leo is fire of heart! Your little Leo Lion radiates warmth and affection. She is apt to be outgoing, overflowing, and generous, and genuinely concerned with the welfare of others. Always the leader, if not the center of any group, your child seldom fails to attract attention. If she feels left out or unnoticed, she may resort to negative attention, better in her mind than none!
Your child may well wear her heart on her sleeve, or hidden behind a noble bearing. Leo children exhibit strong emotions. Typically, the Leo child thrives on praise, and delights in showing you her accomplishments and how proud she is of herself! Dramatic and just plain happy to be here, your Leo is warm of heart, gregarious, outspoken, and independent. Look for opportunities to place her in the limelight. Leo is the sign of performance. A family party can be a fun time to shine and show off a special skill such as singing, charades, or skits. Your little lion will enjoy telling tales and hearing colorful stories.
Leo children often do well in programs such as the Scouts where merits can be earned and true leadership developed. As she matures you may discover that your child has a way with younger children. Teach her that true leaders are humble, and can obey orders as well as give them out. She may need to be reminded that other children need turns at being the leader, too! Tire not in reminding her of the importance of working cooperatively with others. These are lessons that will always serve her well! Like a king, she may take for granted the good things in life. Teach your Leo youngster always to give thanks and express appreciation for what others do for her. Caring for her things is another way to show, “I care” but little lions can be careless at times.
Leo is the sign of amusements and recreations. Many Leo children enjoy parties and participating in sports. To motivate her, devise ways to make learning fun. Then again, life is not all fun and games. Leo children may need to learn the importance of finishing the job, simply because it has to be done.
Your Virgo Child
Virgo is an Earth sign on the thinking cross. Its symbol is The Virgin. Virgo is ruled by Mercury, the planet of mind and Virgo children are typically curious about nature and their physical environment. They like to observe natural phenomena to discover the laws behind the manifestation. Some children of this sign are manually dexterous or show early signs of mechanical ability. Even toddler Virgos especially enjoy mechanical toys and those that can be taken apart and put back together again. Geometrical painted wood pieces that form beautiful intricate designs may be another Virgo favorite!
Virgos seek ways to make their observations practical. Interested in helping, Virgo children are often truly compassionate, worrying about the welfare of others. Your child may like to take care of everything; rescuing, salvaging, and restoring. Virgos frequently find their calling through response and service to others, to life. (As adults, Virgos are often attracted to professions where they can serve; waiting upon people in a restaurant, secretarial jobs, dental assistants, teachers). Virgo children need the tools to help (small sized brooms, tools, etc.) and they need real jobs where they can be an asset to the family. As they grow, don’t be surprised when they come up with better more efficient ways of running the house (and everything else to boot)!
Some Virgo children are shy, because they tend to be overly critical of themselves or their performance. For the little Virgo, good is hardly ever good enough if not perfect! Discourage pickiness, fault-finding and complaining. You would do well to teach your Virgo youngster to look for the good in herself, in her work and in others. Sometimes children with the Sun afflicted in Virgo can be so anxious about perceived imperfection, that they decide not to try at all! Montessori materials with their built-in corrections are perfect for the young (age 2-7) Virgo child. Remind your child that what matters is that she always try to do her best, but that Rome was not built in a day!
Sometimes Virgo children are attracted to nature, to healing arts (placing a band-aid on a younger child’s finger, learning to make herb teas, looking under a microscope). Many are naturals at math and have an affinity for reading! Writing and teaching are Virgo skills waiting to be developed! Because they need to nurture and instruct others, Virgo children usually enjoy caring for pets and younger siblings. They have a way with details, favorable for many professions such as teaching, engineering, bookkeeping, but they may lose sight of the forest for the trees. Remind your child that “there is a place for everything and for everything a place” lest her room become a maze of pigeonholes, books, and paraphernalia. Virgo children often enjoy hobbies where they must label, paste, organize and categorize such as coin and stamp-collecting. Virgo is earthy and little Virgos are acutely aware of their bodies. Baby Virgos can be quite uncomfortable if wet or unattended. Discrimination, separating the wheat from the chaff, is the Virgin’s job. Toilet training is an important phase for the toddler, as they learn how their bodies discriminate what they need and what they don’t need and this phase should not be forced or made unpleasant. Some Virgo children are fussy about what and when they eat.
Your Libra Child
Libra is an Air sign on the action cross. Its symbol is The Scales. Always seeking a mirror or clear pool, the Libra child tends to look for her identity through the eyes of others. Throughout her childhood, your little Libra will look to others for clues to know herself. The Libra child seeks to please and put forth her best to measure up to your praise. Conversely, she could act out negative behaviors to please an adult or friend who somehow doesn’t see the best in her.
Close friendships mean a lot to your child. Theater is a good medium for trying on many hats safely. Libran children need to develop self-confidence and a strong sense of identity. They need to be taught the importance of trust and honesty in all their interactions. Children of the scales tend to compare one thing with another, but its best that you not compare her (negatively) with her friends. Because Librans see both sides, they have a strong sense of fairness, but may have trouble making decisions. Give your little Libran many opportunities to make choices. Praise her when she makes up her mind decisively and quickly!
Libran children are natural arbitrators and often play the role of the class peace-maker. Later, some will grow up to be lawyers! Librans are born diplomats and can get along with almost anyone. They need to learn to say “No” (rather than trying always to make someone happy). They may become unbalanced and noticeably disturbed by an ugly or discordant environment. Librans are attracted to beauty and peace. Even so, your own example can help your Libran child learn how to confront and handle unpleasant situations. Some Libran children will resort to lying rather than rock the boat. By all means, stress honesty and openness in your household.
Even Libran babies will respond to flowers, color and other touches of beauty and harmony in their surroundings. Most Libran children like to dress well. Your child may have artistic talent that you will want to cultivate. Your child is almost certainly sociable and benefits by early training in social skills and graces. Libran children can be charming hosts and hostesses at parties and school functions. Nevertheless, their ability to charm can amount to a mask, hiding their true intentions. Teach your child to DARE TO BE TRUE! The scales are the scales of justice and Libran children are sure to speak out against perceived injustices.
Your Scorpio Child
Scorpio is a Water sign on the feeling cross. Its symbols are the Scorpion, the Phoenix and the Eagle. Water sign children are typically sensitive, responsive, considerate and kind. Your Scorpio child needs to feel secure, in control of her environment. She is extremely sensitive, picking up on other people’s feelings and hidden motivations. The Scorpio child is so sensitive that occasionally she may withdraw, perceiving that an adult is capable of physically or emotionally hurting her.
Scorpio is a powerful sign and Scorpio children respect power as rules, laid down and CONSISTENTLY applied with love. Your child has the inner strength to say “No!” and to go without, if need be, but desire can be very strong in this sign. She needs to have a clear idea of right and wrong from babyhood. She needs to develop good habits concerning belongings, money and the balance between material and spiritual things (And that, of course, means good examples at home!). She may need encouragement to be willing to share.
Scorpio is ruled by Mars and Scorpio children can become intensely angry or manipulative when they don’t get their way. Scorpio energy is dynamically creative. Search for areas of interest–science, music, sports–for your child to channel her great creative potential! Intense and sometimes driven, she’s able to cut through to the heart of things. Teach her to avoid extremes, and to seek the middle way.
Scorpios experience life on a deep, emotional level. Your child may be moody. Like other children of the water signs, Scorpio children are soothed by music. Many have musical talent. Give your Scorpio child something to do coloring, planting, a project and give her time alone to delve, discover and create!
Scorpio children tend to be loners in some way. Scorpios are adept at masking their true feelings, so its important that you establish trust with your child, and keep the avenues of communication open. Your child may have a love of strategy, puzzles, mazes, chess and checkers, science-fiction and mystery stories. Chemistry sets, microscopes, nature walks and research are all up the Scorpio alley.
In Scorpio, the cruel sting of the Scorpion (selfishness, cruelty, over self-concern) is transformed (Phoenix) into the free and noble eagle (I serve, I heal, I share). Scorpios seeks permanent change. Little Scorpios learn about themselves by studying cocoons, crystal formations and other natural phenomena that show the phases of transformation and metamorphism.
Your Sagittarius Child
Sagittarius is a Fire sign on the thinking cross. Its symbol is The Archer. Your fiery archer likes to be out-front, frank, and even rough and tumble at times. She gets to the heart of any subject and tells it like it is! Sagittarians are generally outgoing and well-liked, but they’re notorious for being too blunt; the ol’ foot in mouth syndrome! Teach your child tact and social graces. Do not allow rudeness in your household.
Sagittarians are the explorers of the zodiac. Little Archers in particular can be quite restless! Baby Archers delight in strolls around the neighborhood. Tricycles, bicycles and scooters are welcomed with glee! Sagittarian children do not generally take to boundaries readily, so don’t be surprised if your child lets you know the playpen’s not her favorite place! “Don’t fence me in” could easily be her theme song. The challenge begins at toddler age when she takes off in all directions! Older Sagittarians may have trouble staying put in a school chair all day! No wonder! This sign’s natural impulse is to transcend all limitation. Nevertheless, for safety’s sake and for the sake of future success you’ll need to teach your child the necessity for limits! For the same reasons, the Sagittarian youngster may resent restrictions on her freedom. Your child may be a born adventurer. Nevertheless, watch out for signs of “dare-devilry” that border on arrogance! All children need to learn to play by the rules and Sagittarian youngsters are no exceptions!
Sagittarian children love to travel, its true, but not just physically. They travel with their minds. Seek ways to introduce your child to a wide range of subjects. Colorful books on religious themes, heroes and noble deeds, far-off lands will capture her attention and ignite her own sense of mission! She has a love for the law and a natural sense of fairness. Even more important than book learning for Sagittarian children may be exposure to a variety of diverse environments and experiences: the park, the marketplace, the mountains, the sea. Sagittarians are also known to be outdoors people and enjoy participating in or following sports. Horseback riding comes naturally to many children of this sign, whose symbol is the Centaur. Show your child the arrow in the Centaur’s hand. The arrow must reach the mark. Tire not in reminding your spirited archer that she must finish what she begins, whether it be putting away her toys or completing her homework. Especially if Mercury is in Sagittarius (less so if its in Scorpio or Capricorn) she may tend to skip the details in her work or become easily distracted. Help her develop good study habits and mental concentration by learning to pull in the reins of the mind and focus on task at hand.
Sagittarians are typically friendly and outspoken. When they feel they have been wronged (disciplined or hemmed in) Sagittarian children may express resentment and a desire to get even. Retaliation is the misuse of the Sagittarian light! The Sagittarian youngster needs to experience bringing her project to completion, getting the ball in the net and making that goal. When her youth is marked by victories, there is no room for resentment!
Your Capricorn Child
Capricorn is an Earth sign on the action cross. Its symbol is The Goat (who climbs to the summit on her knees). There is an astrological saying that Capricorns are old when they’re young, and young when they’re old. Generally speaking, the Capricorn child is not too emotional, but rather objective, businesslike, and self-disciplined. The climber seems to have been born “grown-up.” She is mature, reliable, and has a natural sense of duty. Especially if she is the oldest child, the Capricorn child may be delegated much responsibility. While Capricorn children generally enjoy this early sense of power, they need to be given assignments appropriate for their age and ability.
Your little Capricorn may need more affection than you suspect. Even if she appears quite serious, she needs time for play. Let your Capricorn youngster know that you love her for who she is, not just for what she does. Happy when in command, the Capricorn child enjoys management roles. She might enjoy helping out in the family business or helping Mom manage the house! She will be attracted to grown-up “toys” such as calculators, computers and Daddy’s tools.
Born into the earth element, Capricorn children like to construct and build things. She is in her element in the sandbox. Among her favorite toys could be an erector set, a carpentry set, tools for building sand castles and a box of building blocks (or something that mimics your work since she likes to be grown-up)! She likes to find ways to make the best use of whatever is available.
Power is the Capricorn key word and your child will need opportunities to wield it and to learn its right use. The Capricorn child may find it frustrating to not be the one in charge, but time will teach her patience! Teach her that Capricorn relates to the knees, showing the need to be humble. Anger, criticism, complaining, and negative thinking are misuses of the Capricorn light. Hopefully these negatives can be nipped in the bud and turned around should they appear!
Because she is responsible, she tends to assume the blame whether she merits it or not! Be gentle with your little Capricorn. Judgmental remarks and/or harsh treatment from parents and teachers can leave lifetime scars. She seeks spiritual transcendence through conquering the material world and will look to the father or dominant parent as her role model. Government or managerial positions may be her calling. Above all, teach her to balance material aims with spiritual values (the ends don’t justify the means), to work for the good of all and to acknowledge that the source of power comes from within.
Your Aquarius Child
Aquarius is an Air sign on the feeling cross. Its symbol is The Water bearer, who pours out the waters of life to all. Like other Air sign children, Aquarians are friendly and like to socialize. Aquarius is the sign of fraternity. Friendship and camaraderie mean a lot to the Aquarian child. You may discover that your child “never met a stranger” and don’t be surprised if among her friends are a few off-beat characters! She herself may be somehow unique, different, even perhaps eccentric! Because Aquarius is a mental sign on the fixed cross, your child may be stubborn about her ideas. She may insist upon doing things “my way”! On the positive side, once your little water bearer makes a friend, her loyalty tends to be unwavering. Aquarians are known to be open-minded and democratic, but can become intolerant or aloof of what they perceive as lesser minds. Discourage a “know-it-all” attitude should it appear.
Aquarius is the sign of prophecy. It is said that Aquarians live in the future. They are inventive and innovative. If she can’t find a kindred soul who understands her vision, the Aquarian child can feel quite alone. Because the Aquarian child may tend to live in her head, she may need help getting in touch with her own feelings. She may need to learn to be more sensitive to other children who are more emotional than she.
Your Aquarian child may be more interested in the world of thought and ideas than in sports and physical activity, but this is not a die-hard rule. Perhaps she takes to cycling, tennis, and running. Drama appeals to the Aquarian child. Many have a fascination for anything technological. Electronics, computers, space travel and alchemy may capture her attention. Especially if Mercury is in Aquarius, you may have a scientist ready to open new frontiers. Above all, the true Aquarian is progressive and enjoys putting into practice new ideas and reforms that help this world be a better place to live in. As she grows, she will want to keep abreast of the news. She may be searching for a cause.
Aquarius is the sign of freedom. Aquarian children love to be with people, but also demand time and space to be alone. Stress always that true freedom entails responsibility. She needs room to think, to create, to be, but she also needs to know from babyhood the difference between freedom and rebelliousness. Historical accounts and anecdotes are helpful in teaching the consequences of the right and wrong use of free will.
Your Pisces Child
Pisces is a Water sign on the thinking cross. Its symbol is The Fishes bonded together but swimming in opposite directions. Water sign children are typically sensitive, responsive, affectionate and kind. Water is reflective so Piscean children enjoy peaceful surroundings. They often benefit through meditation and enjoy listening to classical music. Pisceans are known to be long-suffering, taking a lot for the sake of upholding beliefs and ideals. Your child will look for ways to help others, but must learn to discriminate lest she be taken advantage of because of her inherent kindness.
Children born under this sign “pick up” easily on vibrations. They can be impressionable on a subconscious level. That is to say, they can absorb the atmosphere around them. What you observe as your Piscean youngster’s “moods” may actually be a barometric reading of family or school ambience. Behavior patterns as well can be copied almost by osmosis! Sometimes Piscean children empathize so much with someone else’s burden that tears flow freely. The Pisceans child’s sense of individuality may be unclear due to her identification with the suffering of others. Teach her always to affirm her self-worth. The little Piscean who gives freely can be hurt by fair weather friends. She could feel rejected when those less sensitive fail to show appreciation for her services.
One of the greatest lessons in self-mastery for Pisceans is when to give and when to hold back. Continual self-sacrifice can amount to being a door-mat and lead to disappointment. Piscean youngsters who know their self-worth are confident and will seek relationships on more equal footing. Because your child seeks ways to help and care for others, she may enjoy volunteer work for school or church. She would probably enjoy caring for a pet. She has a deep sense of compassion and reaches out to the underdog, whether this be a poor stranger or a bird with a broken wing.
Your child is likely to be unusually intuitive. She may know things without being able to explain why. She may be funny, able to laugh at herself, and inspire others. Piscean children are naturally devotional and respond to religious themes, music and art. Piscean children are imaginative and creative, but may hide in fantasies when the going gets hard. Your child could appear dreamy. Perhaps she is reaching for higher worlds. You can introduce her to the worlds of transcendence through art, music, religion but teach her to keep her feet on the ground. Stress the practical side of life.
One way you can greatly help your little Piscean is to teach her to confront and conquer her fears. Piscean children often are like fish in the water. When she is old enough, you might teach your child to dive in the waves. This physical experience could help her avoid being engulfed by seemingly overwhelming problems later on. Some Piscean youngsters grow up to work in hospitals, churches, and/or spiritual retreats.
Pisces is ruled by Neptune, planet of illusion. Especially if Libra, Leo, Jupiter, the Sun or Venus are strong in the chart, your child could be adept at putting on a mask to suit the occasion or her whims. Intuition, imagination, and a love of fantasy may lead to a career in art, dance, or writing. However, do not allow your child to get away with being (intentionally or unintentionally) manipulative, sneaky or dishonest. In some cases, parents will need fine attunement to discern when the plaintive cries of the Piscean child are an expression of true affliction as opposed to when she might be putting on “crocodile tears’ to get your attention!
Good habits are so essential with these children, because the Piscean personality can be addictive. Beware of introducing your child to habits (i.e., such as bribing her with sweets) that could potentially lead to self-destructive habits that are hard to shake in adulthood (i.e., turning to food for comfort, and consequently putting on excess weight).
