Overview of 2018
Jupiter moves through the intense and passionate sign of Scorpio until November 8th, encouraging us to go after our hearts’ desires. As Jupiter moves through Scorpio, we learn and understand that to heal, we have to cut out the fluff and focus on what genuinely matters to us. Because Jupiter’s nature is extravagant, we must guard against “too much.” Moderation doesn’t come naturally to either Jupiter or Scorpio.
This is a period for learning to embrace our emotions–to understand them, go with our feelings, and express them on a social level. Jupiter in Scorpio encourages us to grow and expand on an emotional plane, and because Scorpio is focused and deep, it stimulates us to develop intimacy–with ourselves and with others. Where Jupiter is currently transiting is generally where we are inclined to find our “joy.”
With Jupiter in Scorpio, we attract the most success and good fortune when we put our “all” into a project or undertaking, and when we use our magnetic powers to heal others. Watch for obsessive behavior that is to our detriment or an attitude that if it feels good, we should just do it. (Fortunately, Saturn’s concurrent transit of Capricorn this year will help us simplify).
This is a fabulous period for looking at the darker corners of life — and of ourselves — from a new perspective or for purging, depending on what we find! It can also be a time for finding valuable resources that were hidden from our view or that we previously overlooked, as well as for awakening talents within ourselves and, perhaps especially, within others.
This can be a potent time for healing, improving, and transforming. With Scorpio, there is transformation. We’re not interested in band-aid fixes, and we’re more willing than usual to enter into a crisis so that we can effect change. Middle of the road is no longer attractive to us at this time. Themes include sex, money, and power, as well as death and rebirth, and we can be particularly fascinated with these topics during Jupiter’s thirteen-month transit of Scorpio.
In 2018, Jupiter in Scorpio forms some empowering aspects with Neptune, Pluto, Chiron and the true North Node. This is a period of widening our minds through unusual or new experiences, more imagination, and increased faith in others, life itself, and ourselves. We’re likely to enjoy opportunities to free ourselves of restrictive and negative attitudes that have been undermining our progress.
Jupiter moves into Sagittarius on November 8th and will continue to transit Sagittarius until early December 2019. Sagittarius is where Jupiter feels very comfortable as it rules the sign.
Saturn transits its own sign, Capricorn, in 2018. Saturn entered Capricorn on December 19th, 2017, and will transit the sign until the year 2020. Saturn does very well in Capricorn, as its ruler, although it can be a somewhat insular, narrowly focused, and perhaps strict or stern influence. This is a time for checking in with ourselves and the structures of our lives to see if we’re following the rules and meeting our responsibilities. Taurus, Virgo, Scorpio, and Pisces receive stabilizing energy. Aries, Cancer, and Libra may initially balk at what feels too restrictive. Capricorn gets a bit of both.
Saturn will eventually meet up with Pluto in the sign, but not until 2020! In fact, Saturn doesn’t form very many major aspects to the outer planets during its transit through Capricorn.
Uranus is transitioning from Aries to Taurus in 2018, and as such, spends part of the year in each sign. Uranus continues to transit Aries until mid-May when it enters Taurus. Uranus returns to complete its journey of Aries from November 6, 2018, to March 6, 2019, after which it re-enters Taurus for the long haul. Uranus in Taurus is bound to shake up our attitude towards money and personal possessions, and it’s a time for bold innovations in these areas.
For most of 2018, eclipses fall along the Leo-Aquarius axis. These eclipses are about striking a better balance between romance and friendship, and between expressing ourselves in personal and impersonal ways. They serve to thrust us into a state of heightened awareness of flaws in our friendships, attitudes towards others, and group activities. Changes are afoot! With the North Node in Leo for much of 2018, we are challenged to take more pride in ourselves as unique, creative, loving individuals. The North Node moves from Leo to Cancer in November. As well, the first eclipse in a set along the Cancer-Capricorn axis occurs in July, introducing the beginning of new themes. We are called upon to feed our foundation–all of that which we call “home,” including the foundation we have built inside of ourselves, needs to be tended to and honored. We need to pay more attention to our instincts, our deepest needs, and our feelings; and to recognize the importance of our family and our personal circle of friends and the security, sense of belonging, and safety we derive from them.
Both Venus and Mars turn retrograde this year. Retrograde Mars from June 26-August 27 is slow-going. The retrograde is spent for the large part in the sign of Aquarius until August when retrograde Mars retreats into Capricorn.
The areas of our charts where we find Capricorn involve some lessons and strengthening exercises, and they require simplifying and hard (or smarter) work. The Scorpio areas receive boosts and blessings. In the last two months of 2018, Sagittarius areas of our charts also thrive, and this feels particularly good since these may have been leaner areas in the past few years.
The New Year chart is quite representative of the year ahead with its emphasis on Capricorn and Scorpio.
2018 Horoscope Overviews for Each Sign
The year ahead is a powerful one for learning about and attending to your inner needs, resources and work more diligently, dear Aries. While you’re more outgoing towards the end of the year when Jupiter harmonizes with your sign (from November forward), 2018 holds terrific opportunities to improve, prepare, straighten out, and discover, especially in the worlds of work, intimacy, personal growth, and finances.
Until November, you’re in an excellent position for financial help or advice, dealings, and support. This can be an excellent time to work through tax or debt issues, gain support or backing for financial initiatives, or to combine resources with others or a partner. Agents or accountants among you can do particularly well this year, but so can all Aries on some level. A partner might be prosperous at this time. For some of you, increased awareness of mortality or a heightened awareness of how habits impact health can lead to making substantial lifestyle changes, living more joyfully, or a commitment to taking better care of health. In some cases, surgeries or procedures end a long-term health problem leading to improvements. There can be more joy in an intimate relationship or enjoyment of delving into your own psychological depths. These are examples of positive transformations that can happen as Jupiter graces your solar eighth house this year.
This is also an important turning-point period for your career, status, public life, or reputation. Saturn’s influence at the top of your solar chart points to a culmination, make-or-break situation, or increase in responsibility. Saturn wants you to catch up, fix areas of neglect or waste, and work hard (but not to excess).
Recognition for what you do or have achieved may come now, but from time to time, this can also feel like a lot of pressure or scrutiny for some of you. If you’ve cut corners, now is the time to make things right. There can be increased interest in what you do, and possibly some criticism or self-analysis involved as you figure out whether you’re on the right path. There may be some changes or adjustments in your career path or a pinnacle year for your work or reputation now. From now until 2020, you are at a career peak or turning point. It can be very worthwhile to work through challenges or demands involving a career that you know is your calling, as the improvements that result can benefit for many years to come. For some, this can be a time of increased responsibility related to parents, bosses, or teachers.
In 2018, you can benefit greatly from career support or backing. All year is excellent for publishing, media, teaching, and learning.
From May to August, it’s especially important to lay low and prepare rather than push new initiatives ahead.
A theme that’s been with you since 2011 is coming to an end, and while it will only be permanently behind you in March 2019, you’ll see some initial changes this year. This influence has put a lot of pressure on you to discover your independence in recent years, and changes in your life have been par for the course, whether these affected your relationships, work, or both. This pressure is easing now, and you’re likely to feel a little less fractured or on edge and a bit more relaxed. You no longer feel the need to make a splash when it comes to asserting your independence — you’ve achieved it and you’re ready to move on. A new theme entering your life this year involves changing your relationship with money or personal possessions, however, and this will play out more fully in years to come.
From November forward, you’re ready to explore, discover, and share. You begin a thirteen-month trend that finds you braver, more outgoing, bouncing back, and unflappably optimistic. Travel, education, and publishing are possible ways to expand your horizons now.

The year ahead is potentially excellent for close relationships, dear Taurus. It’s a time for more fully enjoying your connections with others. You’re also likely to experience a more harmonious period overall when it’s easier than usual to meet your responsibilities. Even so, you get hints of an upcoming, long-term trend that’s sure to shake up your life in interesting ways.
While Uranus doesn’t settle in your sign until March 2019, this year, you are getting a taste of the excitement that is to come. At times, this influence can complicate things as a voice inside of you that is saying you want to be free! Those of you born very early in the sign (April 21-24) are feeling the changes most insistently while the rest of you are simply feeling the stirrings of things to come. You are making breaks from elements from your past that have limited your freedom or that have kept you from expressing your individuality. This is a time when you are more willing to take personal risks. Uranus awakens your consciousness to areas of your life that it touches in surprising ways. As such, there may be unexpected events that free you from confining situations or past conditioning patterns. You are more inspired now, and your personality bubbles with bursts of enthusiasm. There can be a significant break from the past that propels your life forward. Impatience will be something to look out for.
2018 is particularly excellent for close relationships and partnerships. These can be love or business partnerships, or even close buddies, and you’re also in good form for one-on-one connections involving advising and counseling. This may include leaving behind unhappy alliances or getting over a hump in an existing partnership. This can be a period for pursuing a dream or cherished goal with someone special. Teaming up makes sense now. It can also be a brilliant year for expanding your mind and experiences through travel with a partner. Someone seems to be in your corner this year. This can be a reasonable period, overall, for settling long-standing problems and coming to beneficial agreements.
From November forward, you benefit from an influence that boosts intimacy and shared finances. While you’ve had your share of concerns about debts, loans, benefits, or a partner’s income in recent years, you’re now working out something great for yourself in these areas.
Saturn is now in harmonious angle to your sign, and this brings a stronger feeling of stability into your life. This is a grounding influence that will be particularly helpful with Uranus moving into your sign as well. It also helps you focus on practical matters and meet responsibilities promptly. There can be the beginnings of a nice period of focus on education, whether this is formal or you’re going the self-taught or online route. You can be putting more effort and responsibility into learning. From now and until 2020, it’s important for you to learn a lot about your trade as that is when your professional peak occurs.

The year ahead holds terrific potential for you for improved work, health, habits, and personal enjoyment, dear Gemini, as well as for close relationships from November forward. You’re in the position to enjoy the work you do, services you provide, or daily routines more fully this year. There can be increased job satisfaction or improved opportunities with your work in 2018. You derive more enjoyment and pleasure in methods or programs to improve your health or fitness, and you may very well find the right doctor, therapist, or information that sets you on a path to wellness.
You’re also likely to receive some push to improve your financial life in addition to lifestyle. This is an important time to manage debts and to make valuable lifestyle changes.
Saturn has left its opposition to your sign, and this takes some of the direct pressure off your life. Even so, Saturn has moved into a position of a bit of a nag — guilt, adjustments, and some worry are possibilities. For some, with this influence, there can be decreased desire or opportunities for intimacy, possibly some fear or disdain for the confines of an intense relationship, or slight strains on existing partnerships. This is a time for coming to terms with recent relationship decisions and realizations. Those of you who have made or strengthened a commitment will now focus on the merging process, which isn’t always easy. Others who may have broken long-term commitments now face the challenges of reorganizing their lives – also tricky, but doable. You have a lot of planetary support for these things, even if human backing is not always available!
Planning more carefully for your future is essential, particularly with finances on the leaner side (there may be less support from others, for example). Aim to save a little more or control spending if possible. The good news is that you have a lot of power to turn your life around and to put some financial problems behind you in 2018.
This year is likely to be a period of preparation rather than new initiatives in a general sense. Luckily, you’re in a happy frame of mind for making adjustments and improvements.
Uranus moving out of your friendship sector, while not yet a permanent move, can tone down inconsistencies and unpredictability in your social life. These things will be more fully realized next year, but you should see more stability with friends now.
In November, you begin a yearlong cycle that is excellent for partnerships. It’s a fortunate period for bringing conflicts to peaceful and reasonable resolutions and for mutually beneficial arrangements. Helpful people come into your life now.
Beautiful energy is with you for finding your calling, or at the very least, making a commitment to enjoy the work you do in the moment and having faith that it will lead you along the right path. In other words, you no longer feel as weighed down by indecision. You’re likely to feel less pressure to come up with a definite path, and this can help you along.

The year ahead is strong for self-expression, personal enjoyment, and creative pursuits, dear Cancer. You’re likely to boost your earnings, although you’re also inclined to spend more! Serious energy is brought to partnerships in 2018.
Until November, Jupiter continues to bring fullness to your life in the areas of recreation, romance, and creativity. Many opportunities arise for you to enjoy yourself. For most Cancers, this period is about rediscovering the child within. Also, as Jupiter moves in harmony with your sign, your ability to take things in stride grows by leaps and bounds. You might hunger for more channels to express your unique qualities. Romance may get a boost. You’re more fertile on many different levels, and you’re inclined to seek out various pursuits and pleasures that satisfy your increased desire to have fun, play, and express yourself.
Also this year, you’re learning to trust your instincts, natural talents, and ability to stand on your own. You are learning to depend on yourself more and to establish your self-worth through your own efforts. Pressures from a partner or in a core relationship may feel uncommonly weighty now, and this can sometimes interfere with your work on developing a stronger sense of self-worth and independence, but shouldn’t deter you.
You have one of the most playful transits going on in your dating and entertainment sector, but a rather strict, serious, and mature energy going on in your partnership and binding relationship house this year. This can be a very significant year for love, both casual and serious. In order to experience balanced relationships, you need to work on building inner peace, rather than focusing on achieving peace and balance through relationships. This year and the next, you are discovering or re-discovering your true needs and desires. You have a powerful Solar Eclipse in your sign in mid-July encouraging you to discover your independence, as well.
A long-term cycle that’s influenced your career for many years will come to an end in March 2019. This year, you’ll get hints of what the new cycle is all about, and you’ll enjoy more predictability regarding your career, life path, status, or reputation. Dramatic ups and downs in your career path tend to subside, although you are still required to adapt to subtle shifts. The cycle that’s emerging now is set to shake up your social circle. Some friendships may be left behind, and new ones are made, although they may not be quite as reliable as the ones you had in the past. You may be moving with a new or different crowd. You are less prone to rebel in 2018, and more inclined to live more authentically.
Jupiter moves to your work and health sector in November, and this transit brings increased opportunities for work (possibly even a little too many!) and more interest in, and enjoyment of, health routines, self-care improvements, and work projects. This theme will develop more fully in 2019. Also in November, the North Node moves into your sign, and you’re making the significant discovery that you can stand on your own and succeed very well in so doing!

The year ahead is potentially brilliant for home and family life and improved habits, routines, health, and work, dear Leo. You’re developing practices that will benefit you many times over and for years to come. Even so, you can be very busy making adjustments and fixing problems before things run smoothly. Later in the year, creative and romantic life improves.
In many ways, 2018 is about establishing yourself. You’re likely to work hard and rest hard this year! Saturn in your work and wellness sector encourages you to take care of business but doesn’t necessarily want you to work harder as much as it promotes working smarter. Saturn in this part of your solar chart reminds you that more isn’t always better. Streamlining and simplifying your daily routines makes sense now. You are in need of more structure when it comes to work, daily routines, and health initiatives, and while it involves effort and persistence, you’ll thank yourself for doing it. Orderliness will be empowering, and paying close attention to deadlines, details, and rules will help tidy up your mind and emotions so that you feel freer to enjoy yourself when pleasure calls, which it is likely to do frequently this year!
This is an excellent year for starting new regimens to better your health and well-being, such as regular exercise and more structured and productive use of your time. This transit lasts until 2020 and is bound to bring you to a healthier, more focused and productive state. If you’ve been pushing yourself too hard or too little, this is the time for addressing the issue. It’s a great time to nail down plans and programs that keep you adequately busy and organized. It’s imperative to remember to focus on long-term benefits in these areas of life rather than short-term rewards, which can be sparse for the time being.
What you’re beginning this year may very well last, so pay close attention to your basic instincts and interests, which will serve you exceptionally well. This is because, without necessarily even knowing it, you are more in touch with what’s in your heart at this time. The very beginnings of long-term businesses or projects might happen for you in 2018.
You continue to seek comfort, but also growth and improvement, in your domestic life in 2018. It’s one of your priorities, and the “work” you do with family and in the home can benefit you for years to come. Get comfortable with yourself – the cosmos are fully supporting this endeavor! You’ll benefit greatly and indefinitely, but especially in the cycle beginning in November when energy is ripe for expressing and sharing yourself in powerful ways. There may be a new hobby or creative activity that you take on, and for some of you, you’ll be bringing an old interest or pleasure back to life. If you’ve always wanted to pursue a specific craft, art, or creative interest, now is the time to do so. You’ll also have most of 2019 to get on this. Your romantic life can blossom from November forward. People are very interested in you romantically speaking, and opportunities can abound. You are pouring more of your heart and soul into what you create and share. This can be the time for a long-distance romance for some.
Eclipses in your sign and opposing sign continue this year and will complete in early 2019. These continue to nudge and prod you to define your life in terms of your partnership needs, bringing up themes of cooperation versus independence. You’re discovering how you can express yourself authentically and reach your relationship goals as well. This can be a period of a change of relationship status for some Leos.
Uranus reaches the top of your solar chart in mid-May but in November, returns to complete its journey of your sector of spirit and adventure. While this is a period of transition for Uranus, it’s also a time when you’re seeing the beginning of the end of a seven-year theme and the very beginnings of a new one. Your career direction and relationships with authority figures may very well change in the coming years. Increasingly, you’ll be finding the need to bring more personality and less routine to your career.

The year ahead is potentially brilliant for learning, connecting, and communicating, dear Virgo. It can be a time of improved transportation and connection to others as well as excitement about new interests or what you’re learning. You are hungry to learn, to produce, and to share your ideas. Relationships with siblings, a partner, and neighbors can improve significantly in 2018. Reaching out even in the smallest of ways can be rewarding and can also bring new opportunities into your life.
This is also a year in which you’re getting serious about pleasure! Responsible, mature Saturn is now moving through your sector of entertainment, leisure, self-expression, play, children, and romance, and encourages you to take these things more seriously. Whether you’ve been overdoing or neglectful of your needs in these areas of your life, you’ll want to set things right now.
Saturn has moved out of a strained and pressured relationship to your sign and into a harmonious one, and you’re bound to feel far more relaxed and stable as a result. You’ll be embracing responsibilities rather than feeling weighed down and overwhelmed by them. By extension, this is also a good move for improved health. In 2018 and beyond, you’ll be attempting to make better, or more practical, use of your energy and time, as well as your talents and gifts. There can be gratifying work and effort going into hobbies and creative pursuits. What you prefer to do with your leisure time can change as you incorporate more structure and discipline into your life. Some of you will be working determinedly on a hobby or honing creative skills now. For some, a romantic relationship can become more serious, and for others, there is less desire or perceived time for dating and attention to casual relationships. This is a time for setting and then working towards long-term goals related to hobbies, creative pursuits, love relationships, and children rather than seeking out short-term rewards or gratification.
Uranus is also moving into harmony with your sign. While this move won’t be complete until March 2019, you’ll see hints of this supportive longer-term theme in your life in 2018. Those of you in the middle of a course of study should probably watch for sudden changes of heart. Consider whether switching between programs is genuinely worth the extra time, but do listen to a persistent new calling if it emerges now. There can be exciting travel and/or new mind-expanding experiences, beliefs, passions, and interests in your future.
New channels for communicating or commuting can open up to you this year, and you’re likely to feel more liberated about expressing yourself. You’re thinking more positively, as well, which has marvelous effects on many life departments. People in your life are likely to find you more communicative. Relationships with classmates, siblings, and family are apt to improve. Even your relationship with your neighborhood can change for the better.
While there has been some strain on your domestic world in recent years, you’ll enjoy increased benefits and good fortune in this area from November forward. Work you’ve done in and on the home or with family is likely to pay off now. Living conditions are expected to improve in significant ways, and this theme extends through most of 2019.

The need to feel secure, rooted, and comfortable is especially strong for you in 2018, dear Libra. It’s a strong period for building and expanding, and later, learning and connecting. More day-to-day contact with friends and family can be healing and pleasurable from November forward. Until then, you continue to enjoy building and growing your material resources. You might enjoy an increase in personal income, invest, or acquire or purchase something of value that you’ve always wanted. There can be a strong emphasis on comfort and the enjoyment of simple pleasures.
Saturn has moved into hard aspect to your sign and into your solar sector of home and family and will remain here until 2020. This is a time for bringing more structure and discipline to your personal life. This is a time for doing important work on your self-image, foundations, and domestic life that involves pruning, simplifying, and structuring. This is not the easiest of Saturn transits, but it’s a good one for getting your life together from the ground up. There can be changes with parents, children, support, and home life that are significant, but these involve both challenges and rewards, setbacks and advances.
You’ll take more pleasure in reaching out to others this year, and this comes at a good time. Saturn has spent the better part of the last three years transiting your communications sector which may have limited your responsiveness to social contact from time to time. Gradually, you’ll be more motivated to branch out and network in 2018.
This is a time for taking greater responsibility with family as well as for better organizing your home life. Making money in 2018 is a stronger ambition than usual, particularly until November. It’s complicated, but ultimately you’re able to improve your lot in life. Career matters assume more importance to you in the last two months of the year.
Uranus continues to transition out of direct opposition to your sign. This move will be complete in March 2019, but you’ll be seeing more of its effects this year. Partnerships may have been a wildcard in your life for many years, but this is set to change. In recent years, you’ve likely experienced experimental or alternative ways of relating, whether this was voluntary or not. You are now moving into the position to process the lessons you’ve been learning about your expectations of others and what you truly want from a partnership. You also benefit from living your life according to your own values, not merely reacting to what others are –or aren’t– throwing your way. Rebelling can, eventually, lead you back to yourself with greater understanding, and this is “where you are at” in this journey in 2018. You’ll find people in your life less rebellious or unpredictable. Even so, some experimentation with relationships is likely to continue. Your attitude towards intimacy will be changing over the coming years as you open yourself up to new pleasures and experimentation. Over the coming years, you’ll be learning much about financial independence.
From October 5-November 16, take more time with decision-making and aim to understand your needs, particularly related to love and money, more intimately.
From November forward, you enjoy strong support for your social life and learning, communicating, and new interests. You are hungry to learn, to produce, and to share your ideas. Relationships with siblings, a partner, and even neighbors can improve significantly.

The year ahead is in many ways a banner year for you, dear Scorpio. You are finding more personal joy and opportunity, and you’re projecting yourself with increased confidence, humor, and authority. Somehow, you’re managing to express yourself both warmly and authoritatively. It’s a year for feeling more respected.
At times, you may be guarding what you communicate a little too closely to the point of self-censorship, but in moderation, this may very well work well for you now with two heavyweights, Saturn and Pluto, in your communications sector. You’ll also want to watch for a tendency to come across scathingly or to think negatively or cynically at times when these planets are clashing with others in your chart.
You’re challenged to do some critical streamlining and simplifying in your daily life. You may be working harder or smarter now, and have less time for idling, personal interests, and the like. You tend to have less time for acquaintances in 2018 and perhaps even for family at times. Small talk no longer seems to satisfy you, and you could feel quite a bit of pressure to make better and more efficient use of your time. You are also communicating with more authority, or honing your knowledge in a particular trade or area of knowledge/expertise this year.
Jupiter continues to move through your sign until November, and this is about positive new beginnings, turning over a new leaf, and expressing yourself without apology. Be proud of who you are. You’re in an exceptional position to update your image and to build personal confidence levels. You may be bringing more of your personality to your work or projects, and this is particularly rewarding and successful! Especially if you coach, teach, guide, or write, you’re in a great position to improve and advance in 2018.
This is also a good time for financial matters, and this theme will only increase later this year and through most of 2019. Besides putting yourself “out there” and expressing yourself with confidence, one of the best things you can do for yourself in 2018 is to fine-tune your routines, projects, and studies. You are in need of more structure when it comes to these things, and while it involves effort and persistence, you’ll thank yourself for doing it. Orderliness will be empowering, and paying closer attention to deadlines, details, and rules will help tidy up your own mind and emotions so that you feel freer to enjoy yourself when pleasure calls, which it is likely to do frequently!
The central message of 2018 and the next couple of years is to specialize in your studies or work, hone your skills, and lay the groundwork for future projects. While for some of you daily responsibilities or obligations to siblings, studies, and acquaintances increase, you’re doing important work for future security and success.
Towards the end of 2018, you’ll feel a stronger desire to feel comfortable, secure, and rooted. If you’ve played your cards right, a raise, bonus, substantial gift, or some other material increase can come into your life. Even if material benefits are not apparent during Jupiter’s transit of your solar second house from November forward, it can be a time of indulgence and abundance. It’s a great time to build on existing projects and businesses.
While in many ways this is a “me” year, the “we” part is likely to move away from status quo. The year 2018 hosts a retrograde Mars period (from June 26-August 27) and a retrograde Venus period (from October 5-November 16), pointing to some slowdowns, retro callbacks, and apparent backtracking when it comes to desires, feelings, and affections. In fact, Venus is partly retrograde in your sign. Uranus in your partnership sector for some of the year is more of a hint of things to come at this point, but it’s introducing a longer-term theme of excitement and a non-traditional approach to close relationships.
Home, family, and career matters require new beginnings or slate-cleaning this year. Balancing your personal life with professional responsibilities or outside interests is a big theme in 2018. Rewards are great if you can rise to the challenge with your duties, career, or public life.
Take full advantage of the Jupiter-Pluto influence active until September. It’s subtle, so you have to look for the opportunities, but it’s a time of personal empowerment through your communications, ideas, projects, studies, and connections. Connecting with people who help you further your goals and dreams is likely in 2018.

You’re likely to feel freer and more relaxed this year, dear Sagittarius, as Saturn has recently left your sign and, later in 2018, Jupiter begins its thirteen-month transit of your sign.
For a few years, Saturn was transiting your sign, but in December 2017, it moved on. Sagittarians have been learning to fend for themselves, and in the process, they may have been a little aloof and introspective, and certainly less spontaneous. Now that Saturn has moved on, a stronger, more realistic, and more mature “you” is likely, and now you can feel that a weight has been lifted. In the second half of 2012, you’re likely to be more outgoing than you have been.
With Jupiter in your privacy sector until November, however, you are building strength and balance. Take the time to learn what it is you truly want so that when Jupiter emerges in your chart, you’re in an even more fabulous position to move forward. You have fantastic support for your efforts to look within and understand your innermost needs.
Saturn’s presence in your money and values sector can promote a feeling that you’re pinched in the money department, but this can serve to motivate you to work harder and save more – two good things! You’ll be in the position to restructure spending and saving habits in 2018. From November forward, you’ll have Jupiter telling you that you deserve more and that you should reach for the stars; and you’ll have Saturn reminding you that you have to “get real” and consider essential details.
While Saturn asks you to go traditional with money and business, you have Uranus, an all-together different energy, moving into your work and health sector. From May to November, you may turn to alternative health methods, discovering new regimens that you’re especially motivated to incorporate into your life. Changes to how you approach your daily life are in store. Nine to five is unlikely to bring much satisfaction, and you might experiment with new schedules or working from home, which can point to more flexibility, although effective time management becomes essential. Altogether new routines will be necessary.
Home and family matters are likely to improve in beautiful ways in 2018, or you have a little more faith in your support system now. You can have a great time exploring the hidden elements of life or developing your spirituality this year. Alternative health or healing professions can be stronger themes this year. The year 2018 is powerful for self-development, and by November, you’ll be in the right frame of mind to push some boundaries and reach for a little more for yourself. While you’ve been more introspective than usual, you’ll feel far less inhibited as the year progresses.

2018 is a significant year for you, dear Capricorn, as Saturn, your ruler, has returned to your sign and feels right at home there! This transit does point to increased responsibilities that may feel burdensome at times, but it’s also a fabulous period for getting your life in order, which is sure to please you. Of all signs, you’re inclined to understand the value of preparing for the future, so that if you need to give up something now to achieve a longer-term goal, you’re bound to have the maturity and patience to do so. This is what is asked of you now, and this theme is with you until 2020.
Saturn performs very well in your sign, and this can point to various improvements in your mannerisms, personality, appearance, and personal reputation. The more insular side of this transit is likely to become most apparent from November forward when Jupiter moves into your privacy sector for a year, and you find more solace, joy, and comfort in your private life or relative solitude. However, until November, Jupiter is moving through your friends and hopes sector, enlivening your social life and keeping you connected.
So, while Saturn tends to add personal responsibilities to your plate in 2018, the year offers some real joy in your relationships and projects. You’re often found going solo, but you’re still reaching out to others, and people tend to be supportive. You continue to focus on going after your fondest hopes and wishes while also attending to your material affairs.
2018 is powerful for establishing rewarding friendships and group associations. Those of you in business for yourself could enjoy an unusually profitable year.
Do your best to avoid going overboard with self-criticism. It is appropriate now to work on improvements, but it’s important not to waste time on regret. Pressures and responsibilities notwithstanding, there can be exciting social developments this year, and there can be opportunities to share your expertise with associates that shouldn’t be overlooked.
You’re seeing opportunities everywhere this year, and it’s exciting. Saturn in your sign will help you tame the urge to take on too many things–beyond your means or energy levels.
A new theme entering your life this year takes away some of the pressure or unsettled quality surrounding home and family. Your romantic and creative worlds are heating up, but this influence will develop more fully in 2019. Challenges and rewards in close partnerships are also on their way, and you’ll see hints of this theme in 2018.
From June 26-August 27 particularly, it’s important to review your money situation rather than push new financial initiatives ahead.
You have a more acute sense of your responsibilities, duties, and obligations in 2018, and you’re becoming a lot more focused and deliberate in your approach to your life. New beginnings at this time are notable and significant for you in the long run, even if you do not quite see where you’re headed with these things, whether they’re hobbies, personal interests, or studies.
You come into closer touch with your spiritual and emotional renewal needs from November forward. This can be a time when, more often than not, you may very well enjoy your own company!

The year ahead is a special one for career, reputation, friendship, and relationships, dear Aquarius. You’re held in high esteem, particularly on professional or public levels.
In 2018, you’re learning a lot about partnerships, independence, and self-assertion. The North Node in your partnership sector for most of the year suggests both rewards and challenges in your one-on-one relationships; and Mars in your sign for many months, some of which time is spent retrograde, suggests an important examination of your needs to stand on your own feet and assert your independence.
Fiery, assertive Mars first enters your sign in mid-May, just as your ruler, Uranus, moves into a new sign after spending seven years in Aries. Changes occurring now are complicated, and not everyone will recognize you at times!
Mars provides you with extra motivation, energy, and power to move forward with personal plans. You are learning to go after what you want without apology. However, there are hurdles, particularly while Mars is retrograde from June 26-August 27. Energy may be wasted, or you could feel as if you’re spinning your wheels, uncertain about where to direct excess energy. You might second-guess certain goals or your confidence. Desires can be complicated, and you might often feel frustrated, restless, or impatient. You’ll have two more months after the retrograde to sort everything out, and personal plans can be put on the front burner again. In the process, you’re likely to learn a lot about who and what you want.
Uranus is transitioning into a new sign, and you’re experimenting with new feelings, ways of expressing yourself, and personal interests. Uranus moving out of your communications sector for part of the year (and more permanently in 2019) suggests better daily schedules and routines and more focus on your studies. However, living conditions and arrangements may be up in the air.
Career matters are very favorable this year, and your reputation is likely to improve. It’s a great time for visibility. You are noticeable, and you make a real impact on others. Those in authority tend to look on you favorably. Communications, promotion, and word of mouth are especially beneficial for you.
Saturn spends the year (and beyond) in your solar twelfth house, and there can be a lot of work done behind the scenes. This is an introspective period, and even though you’re often putting yourself “out there” this year, there can be a lot going on inside. While supporting others or problems in your private time can be draining at times, this can be an important time for facing fears and letting go of old attachments.
You’re feeling more responsible and competent, and others recognize these traits as well. The attention you receive is positive for the most in 2018, and after November, while Jupiter moves out of your career and reputation sector, it moves into harmony with your sign and benefits your personal and social life, so you’re not losing any favor. You end the year feeling quite excited about new opportunities, projects, and friendships or group associations. You’re beginning one of the best periods in twelve years for connecting with like-minded people and enjoying good company.

With Jupiter (most of the year) and Saturn in soft aspect to your sign in 2018, this is a year that supports your efforts more than challenges you, dear Pisces. It’s a powerful year for teaching, guiding, coaching, and mentoring, as well as learning and connecting, in particular.
Until November, Jupiter helps you take things in stride rather than sweat the small stuff. You can be especially curious on intellectual levels in 2018, and opportunities to travel, learn new things, gain new experiences, expand your horizons, publish, promote or expand your business dealings can emerge. For writers and artists, this is a year in which you’re likely to grow your audience or get published. Studies can bring fabulous rewards, whether you’re formally training or learning for fun and interest. Authors, speakers, business owners, and agents among you may reach a broader or more appreciative audience in 2018. From November forward, you’re in a career peak that extends for thirteen months – almost to the end of 2019. This may have to do with a change of status, significant achievement or award, position, or improved reputation instead of career.
In 2018, you may especially enjoy exploring different ideas, cultures, places, and belief systems. People tend to love your ideas and opinions. All year is excellent for your reputation, internet publishing, and public life, and this theme is likely to extend well into 2019. For some, this is a year when a partnership or friendship brings an extended family into your life or opens the door to favorable new relationships.
A relatively new influence on your solar chart impacts your friendships, group associations, dreams, and wishes. Saturn seeks what’s real and authentic, and in this sector, there can be some slimming down, testing, or shaping up in your social life. While you may part ways or grow apart from a friend or group, this can also be a time for a stronger (or a strong new) friendship that’s long-standing. This can be true for certain causes, dreams, or plans that no longer support or represent you.
The year might also find you making friends through business or enjoying a mature mentor or friend. Friendships with larger age gaps may happen now, or obligations to friends or causes/groups can be weighty or demanding at times, but also satisfying. You might renew an old friendship. Sometimes this transit brings responsibilities through others’ children. It’s a super time for getting serious about certain happiness projects or causes and putting some hard work into these endeavors. Practicality is a bigger consideration now, and this is immensely helpful for you at this point in your life.
Saturn’s influence may depress business earnings for some, but Jupiter’s influence suggests this year and the next are excellent for your reputation and career. As such, some of you may find it easy to deal with modest earnings because you’re enjoying your work so much, or it can be a necessarily leaner time as you prepare for bigger gains at a later date.
You quite naturally end up in a teaching, guiding, advising, or mentoring role with the influences of both Jupiter and Saturn in 2018. You are learning to “own” what you do by the last couple of months of 2018, and you’re liable to feel more comfortable in a position of authority. People in high places take a shine to you.
New themes entering your life this year have to do with friends and lovers, communications, and studies. These are areas of the biggest change and turning points in 2018. Some of you will be happy to see Uranus moving out of your money house this year. This move is not yet permanent and will only be complete by March 2019, but it does point to less unpredictability with money.
People might often feel drawn to you for guidance, healing, or spiritual questions this year, and you tend to radiate warm, healing energy. Don’t hesitate to grab opportunities that allow you to grow, learn, and share in 2018.
