2011 Overview for all Virgos. 2011 is likely to be a more settled year for you emotionally, dear Virgo. From January to June, emotional and/or financial support is likely to be more forthcoming. However, there is a possibility that a reduction in personal income (or perception that you don’t have enough) can lead you to seek out more support from outside sources. Be as patient as you can when it comes to money in 2011. Think twice about taking on new expenses and new debts. Consider whether they’re truly worth the added worry! Gear up your mindset to consider the long term. Over the coming years, you’ll be learning much about financial independence. From June forward, consider beefing up your education, or possibly expanding your experiences through travel. Your spirit now is quite adventuresome. From January 22nd until June 4th, you may see benefits in any of the areas ruled by the eighth house–joint finances, shared resources, loans, taxes, sexuality, intimacy, healing, personal transformation, research, investigation, and psychological matters. This is a time of increased psychological understanding, intimacy, and perhaps accumulation of wealth if you manage your resources well. This is an excellent time to work on financial planning and strategy. You are more capable of helping friends and loved ones who are dealing with a crisis–you can be leaned upon. Your ability to understand and accept anything that is deep in meaning or significant is enhanced now, and you instinctively realize that the path to inner healing is to face your fears. In-depth study or research can be enjoyable, helpful, and possibly profitable. In some cases, a significant tax refund, inheritance, or other such benefit might arrive during this transit.  Financial gains may come through a partnership or there may be an increase in a spouse’s income. Alternatively, there can be some extravagance in a partner’s spending. Sexual opportunities are likely to abound, or your focus on one partner becomes more expansive,  warm, and intimate. You might become more intellectually curious now, and academic pursuits are likely to benefit you and run smoothly during this cycle. Business dealings, particularly long-distance ones and those involving publicity and promotion, are likely to be profitable now. Legal matters might also work in your favor, or long-standing legal problems might now be ironed out. Some of you will be seeking legal advice and find it especially helpful now. A more faithful attitude towards life in general is likely now–you tend to feel that everything will work out in the end. Authors might get published now, receive good reviews, or they could significantly expand their audience. Travel is quite possible now, whether it’s business or personal. Educational and travel opportunities expand your horizons. Teaching and learning are favored now. Writing and studying flow more naturally now. Jupiter transits trine your Sun from June 4th forward, making it an excellent time to start new long-term projects. You might find that you feel subtly more vital, confident, and optimistic about the future at this time. It’s a good time to resolve conflicts, as you are not as easily angered by trivial matters, and domestic matters can run smoothly and happily.

Saturn transits your solar second house again this year, urging you to take stock of your effectiveness, self-worth, and finances. This stage of your life may involve hard work, but not necessarily of an unpleasant variety! Financial success is generally steady, if slow to come by. This transit has traditionally been associated with financial loss, but in truth, it is more about our perceptions—you are likely to review how effective you have been on a financial level to date, and find some dissatisfaction with your progress. In fact, gains may be slow, but sudden reversals are not common with this transit. The purpose of this transit is for you to make the connection between your own feelings of self-worth and what you produce in the real world/get back from the real world. For those of you born August 23-31 and those with a Virgo Ascendant of 0-8 degrees, Pluto is in your solar fifth house this year. This extremely long-term transit brings gradual but deep changes in attitude towards love affairs, creativity, hobbies, recreation, children, and entertainment.

For those of you born August 28-31 and those with an Ascendant of 5-8 degrees Virgo, Pluto trines your Sun/Ascendant, and you are bound to have an uplifting, transforming year. You could take up some form of physical or health program that completely changes the way you feel about yourself. The things that give you joy and positive feedback figure prominently this year, and you feel renewed and regenerated. You also feel particularly strong and personally powerful. This includes such things as shared resources with a close partner, alimony, taxes, loans, and so forth. At times, this could throw you off balance. This position could also indicate a period of uncertainty surrounding your intimate relationships, and/or some experimentation with your sexuality.

For those of you born August 29-September 2, Uranus continues to transit your solar seventh house. Close relationships may have received a shake-down in recent years, and you may have felt that it’s been hard to truly rely on a partner. Lifeless or outworn relationships may have been especially hard to bear for you. Some trial and error in relationships is par for the course with Uranus in this sector of your chart. This year, more changes in your view of partnerships are in store, but these matters are not as pressing as they were when Uranus opposed your Sun.

The influence of Neptune is similar to last year for most of you. Neptune continues to transit your solar sixth house, as it has been doing for a number of years. You are more susceptible to medications, chemicals, and other such things during this long-term cycle, so keep this in mind. Stress more easily affects your health as well. Some confusion on the job may have been part of the picture, or your job may have steered towards compassionate service, charity, or other helping professions. Although Virgos are known for their ability to stick to schedules, Neptune’s presence here has made it more challenging to do so. However, for those born August 23-24 (or 0-1 degrees Virgo Ascendant), Neptune begins its transit of your solar seventh house and opposes your Sun/Ascendant this year, casting some “fog” over your partnerships. You may be meeting evasiveness in a partner or potential mates. A more accepting or spiritual approach to partnerships is what you are moving towards, but there can be some confusion and possibly disillusionment in the process. You may need to give freedom to your romantic partner instead of expecting him or her to follow a script of your own making. Events are such that you move towards a more objective approach to your life and you cultivate true friendships. A romantic affair may undergo deep, rewarding changes. If love is true, there’s nothing to fear. The demands of your larger goals in life may have been eclipsing your pleasure-seeking activities.
