This Month’s Highlights
Horoscopes for the Month
Void of Course Dates this Month
The New Moon that occurred last month on the 19th happened in the sign of Libra and influences us in the first few weeks of November. This is a time for taking charge of our relationships and giving them their due attention, as well as working on our negotiation and partnering skills. Resolution of conflicts is in focus.
Saturn forms a square to Chiron on the 2nd for the final time in a set that first occurred in December 2016. This is a time for dealing with fears of not being competent or effective enough to meet our responsibilities, or troubles striking out on a unique path. The desire to break from the status quo is strong, but we may not have the necessary confidence to do so. We might also feel that our vulnerabilities are tested or challenged now. The Saturn-Uranus trine, exact on the 11th, helps in this regard, offering us a sense that innovation doesn’t have to be destabilizing or involve drastic change.
The Full Moon occurs on November 4th in the sign of Taurus, reawakening an urgent interest in the physical world and in our own sensual needs and desires. We should watch for stubbornness at this time, although some self-interest is healthy and necessary. The Full Moon connects with Jupiter and harmonizes with Neptune, as both bodies get closer and closer to an exact trine, emphasizing the fertility, imagination, and magic of our realizations and epiphanies at this time. Generosity and compassion increase and our faith is boosted. We more easily make personal sacrifices for what we believe to be the better good.
On the 11th, Saturn and Uranus form a trine – the last of three exact aspects (the first occurred in December 2016 and the second in May 2017). This is a time when we’re able to bring more excitement to our lives while keeping peace and order. We enjoy what we’re doing, particularly with our career, work, and life path matters, but extending to other areas of life as well. This can be a time of new beginnings. Original ideas may take form, or they might be developed quite successfully now. There is an opportunity to combine stability and improvement or excitement with good results. The same can be said of innovation and tradition.
A New Moon energizes the sign of Scorpio on the 18th. We are encouraged to move away from our comfort zone and to welcome new ways to live, heal, and transform. It’s a time for taking a good look at what we may have chosen to sweep under the carpet. Taking the time to understand others’ motives can enrich our feelings of intimacy, forgiveness, and sense of meaning. We might want to use this cycle to focus on and develop one special project or relationship in order to help add purposefulness and depth to our lives.
Neptune turns direct on the 22nd, and many of the illusions we have been holding onto emerge, confusing situations become clearer, and our creativity soars, or at least, we are more inclined to apply our creativity in the real world. Instead of thinking of this period as a time of disillusionment, we can see it as a time of illumination–when we increasingly see the light and become clearer, sharper, and more effective in the real world. We have more faith in our own dreams and visions, in others, and in belief systems. We increasingly seek inspiration from external sources.

Mercury continues to transit Scorpio until the 5th, and we are compelled to dig deeper than the surface of matters. Mercury in Sagittarius from the 5th forward. We are curious, questioning, and brave with our thoughts and ideas during this cycle, particularly around the 24-25, when Mercury forms a trine to Uranus and our minds are wide open to new ideas. Ideals are sought, our thinking is more optimistic, and our faith increases. We are more equipped to believe and to persuade during this transit. On the 27th, we seek results and definition.
Venus continues its transit of Libra until the 7th. Venus performs very well in Libra, as Libra is one of the signs that it rules! Our ideals about relating are stimulated now, and we may be glossing over the deeper issues, which is territory for Venus’ transit of Scorpio from the 7th forward. Our appetite for intimate connection is powerful now. Venus forms a trine with Neptune on the 16th, sensitizing ourselves to the needs of others, as well as to our own need for tenderness. However, we are bolder about facing and embracing our more profound feelings for the most part during this transit. Venus aligns with Jupiter in Scorpio on the 12-13, opening our hearts and expanding our faith in relationships and ourselves.
Mars continues its transit of Libra all month. Mars is in its detriment in Libra (Libra opposes Aries, the sign that Mars rules) – it’s not as comfortable in the sign as it is in others, and therefore it’s not functioning at its best. We’re motivated to pair up and form alliances during this transit. There can be some relationship drama when Mars forms a square to Pluto on the 18-19 and opposes Uranus on the 30th, just before the New Moon.
This Month’s Overview Horoscopes
Overview Horoscopes are expected approximately a week before the month begins. Unfortunately, this month, I have been too busy with medical tests to produce these earlier than the first of the month.
