Until July 22nd:

The Sun continues to highlight your solar third house--a time of the year in which you are most likely to be a "busy bee". Communications, short trips, errand-running, and general busy-ness feature now. You could have a finger in many pies, so to speak, as your curiosity is piqued by a larger variety of things than usual. Used well, this could be a period in which you come up with solutions to a number of problems. You are more inclined to take pride in your intellectual accomplishments and/or your ability to socialize and make connections.

From July 22nd forward:

With the Sun spotlighting your house of family and home, these areas are your instinctive focus during this period. Your family, home, property concerns, roots, and heritage come into focus and become a source of pride. You are likely quite preoccupied with feelings of security and your inner experiences. This is a time when you send down roots and seek a feeling of belonging. You could be thrust into a position of leadership on the home front.

Ego confrontations with family members are possible now, but the best way to handle this energy is to do your best to strengthen your relationship with your family and your home base. This is a time to do what you can to build trust in your family life and a strong foundation within yourself so that regardless of what you meet in the outside world over the next months, you have a secure place to return to. Besides spending more time tending to domestic affairs, the focus can be on cultivating and nourishing the inner foundations that support you and your growth. This is a time to collect yourself--to fill your well, so to speak.

Venus this Month: Love, Romance, Social Life, Comfort, Pleasure

Venus is retrograde from July 22nd to September 3rd: 

Venus retrograde in general: As the planet of love and values, Venus retrograde periods are periods during which we re-assess what--and who--we value. It is a period that most astrologers consider inopportune for getting married or starting a new relationship. Major financial undertakings are not advised during this period as well.

Venus retrograde cycles are good times for creating budgets and financial plans, and for re-thinking our personal relationships. Old friends and lovers may re-appear, perhaps complicating current relationships. We are called upon to deal with relationship issues from the past. Events occur that seem fated or predestined.

It can be a real challenge getting close to a lover during this period of time. Unorthodox, experimental, and non-intimate relationships may be favored. Relationships that have been especially challenging may come to an end during this cycle.

However, strong relationships will survive it, even if there are a few bumps and bruises along the way. For singles, this is a good time for "eyes wide open" or experimental dating. It is not a time when people recognize the need for another person to complete them, or some people may be questioning whether they are with partners who actually fulfill them. This period is good for re-evaluating our relationship needs; but, again, major love decisions are best saved for after the cycle ends.

This Venus Retrograde cycle occurs for the most part in your fourth house of home and family. Relations with your family may be a little strained. You might want to wait until Venus is  direct before you express your frustrations with family members! What you say now may be costly.

Furthermore, if you take the time to think about things, your approach to dealing with these issues later (after the retrograde) is likely to be much more productive.

The desire or need for warm relations with family members, or for support and a feeling of security, is especially strong but the path to satisfaction may be hard to find just now. This is a great time to think about how to improve your home, but not necessarily for going forward with entirely new projects.

With Venus as your ruler, you are especially sensitive to all of the Venus Retrograde issues described above. Venus also rules your work and health sector, and the desire for satisfaction and warm relations on the job is likely strong now but hard to get. This is an excellent period for reworking your finances. Take your time when it comes to major decision making.

Mercury this Month: Communications, Learning, Connections, Transportation

Until July 10th: 

Mercury continues to move through your solar third house. Mercury feels right at home in the third house. Your mind is especially inquisitive during this cycle, when learning, short trips, and other forms of communication and making connections, appeal strongly. Some are fidgety or nervous during this cycle, perhaps due to increased errand-running, phone calls, or information overload. Others enjoy the challenge of tackling a variety of subjects.

As well, talking, writing, and studying can be good ways to handle stress. It's a great time to pick up information from your environment and the people in it. Your mind is often distracted, particularly when required to stick to routine, so this is not the best transit for focusing on one task or project. You might spend a lot of time in your car making short frequent trips, running errands, communicating with siblings and neighbors, and visiting friends and relatives.

From July 11-28: 

Mercury moves through your solar fourth house. This is a time during which you can enjoy increased powers of concentration. You may require solitude in order to get mental work done during this cycle. Your memory is more retentive than usual, and your thoughts often turn to personal matters, family, and loved ones. You might particularly enjoy discussions about your early life, the past, or family matters during this cycle. In fact, it's a great time to open up conversations with loved ones, as you are more rational when it comes to personal matters now.

Your mind often wanders to domestic concerns, and issues surrounding your home, family, and personal past. On the other hand, this transit sometimes indicates an especially busy, and perhaps hectic, period on the domestic scene. For example, you might take home work or find that people drop by your home often during this cycle.

From July 28th forward: 

Mercury transits your solar fifth house. During this cycle, there is a powerful mental connection with your creative self-expression. You are proud of your ideas, and very good at expressing them to others smoothly now. Your thinking is more creative than usual. You tend to entertain others with your conversation; and your sense of humor (and of mischief!) is especially strong.

Mars continues to activate your solar fourth house. You desire to take the lead, but you should do so in a respectful way so as not to get anyone's goat.

From the 10th forward:

Mars animates and energizes your solar fifth house. This is a very self-expressive time when you have lots of energy, but not necessarily self-discipline to match. You have more energy at your disposal to express yourself creatively, through activities with children, romantic activities, hobbies, or sports. While you can't entirely control what others think, it's a good idea to keep this tendency in mind so that you can adjust your manner if you deem it appropriate and important.

Venus is your planetary ruler, and with it retrograde from July 22nd to September 3rd, you can be slightly withdrawn and indecisive. Relations with family can be complicated and require more sensitive care. Alternatively, the pleasure factor in your personal life is no longer up to par, and workarounds to discontent can lead to massive improvements.
