Our Review:
When you’re looking to dig just a little deeper than Sun Sign Astrology, this is a decent book to pick up. Sun/Moon combinations — all 144 of them — are presented in enjoyable detail, along with lists of famous people as examples for each combo.
Once you have reached the stage of being rather impressed by the subject of Astrology, you may want to make an impact on your friends and family, and this book is ideal for this! You, and your friends, will quite likely be duly impressed with the accuracy of this book’s character analysis. A fun idea: read a description of a particular combination aloud to a group, and then have people guess who you’re talking about.
Each interpretation is laid out with a quotation from a famous person (and each quote is from a person with the featured Sun/Moon combination!); a “Themes” section, which summarizes the energies of the combo; the Main Text, which discusses the major themes in a number of areas of life (except relationships, which gets a category all to itself); “Your Greatest Strengths”, which summarizes the most creative expression of the combo; “Your Greatest Weaknesses”; “Images for Integration” (for further reflection); and Famous People who share(d) the combination.
Although the bulk of the book is devoted to the actual Sun/Moon combinations, the authors include a pleasing exploration of the different possibilities and potentials of Sun/Moon energies. This is done through an example of just one combination — Scorpio/Pisces. Short essays about the lives of each famous person listed under this sign combination are offered.
