Sun quincunx (inconjunct) Moon
Sun quincunx (inconjunct) Moon
What you think you should do and how you feel about something are often at odds. You tend to act on your will at the expense of your feelings, and to act on your feelings at the expense of your will or ego–two things that certainly leave you feeling unsatisfied. Integration, of course, would be ideal. Uncertainty about what it is you want from life can be the source of much guilt, and guilt can fuel an automatic response of trying too hard to please others. Living up to the demands of others may too easily become a lifestyle for you. You might find that you are constantly making adjustments and compromises. In your relationships with others, you may offer too much to a person, and then feel like you are being taken advantage of. You seem to expect that you have to make compromises in life in order to get what you want, but in the process, you undervalue your own needs.
You tend to experience bursts of assertions of independence and autonomy, but when you do so, you feel guilty. However, you are not happy with yourself when you are expressing dependency. You need to work on accepting both the Sun and the Moon (your needs for autonomy and self-expression as indicated by the Sun, and your needs for comfort and closeness as indicated by the Moon) in your personality in order to feel whole and to avoid sabotaging relationships (and life goals) with self-defeating attitudes.
Note: Quincunx and Inconjunct are terms that are used interchangeably for the same 150-degree aspect.
Alternate interpretations:
Sun inconjunct (quincunx) Moon: Your determination to succeed may cause you to trip over your ego. Joint resources may fall victim to your personal ambitions or shortage of willpower when push comes to shove. Don’t blame your lack of vitality on health problems, rather than take a rest when your body indicates the need. You will find a likeness of what you project in others. No amount of “cover-ups” or excuses will bring you stability. Use this as a guide to establish your equilibrium early-on.– Interpretation from the Spirit Success report.
Sun quincunx Moon: With the energy of your Moon and Sun in quincunx aspect to each other you may feel that you are constantly frustrated with your needs to remain autonomous while still wanting to be comforted or supported. Although you may intellectually understand that these experiences are not mutually exclusive to one another, and that you can have both, you tend to overcompensate emotionally! In most instances, you find that fulfilling your deeper needs for closeness, tenderness and support can actually strengthen your sense of personal autonomy. You can have a little trouble achieving balance in your relationships, and will be most successful when you allow room and time for the effects of change and growth. — Interpretation from the Astrology Profile for Women report.
