Mars enters Cancer today, where it will transit until May 20th. We are cautious and conservative under this influence, but we will fight for, about, or on behalf of those people and things that are dearest to our hearts. Much of what we do depends on our current mood, although we are strong and patient during this cycle.

We’re also very intuitive and can be moved to take action to bring peace or comfort and safety to our lives during this period. We go to bat for our loved ones. It’s a powerful period for putting ego matters aside so that we can push our plans forward. Inner satisfaction and love are generally more important to us than outer achievements at this time. Personal and domestic goals are our priority during this phase.

A Mars-Pluto quincunx complicates the day’s energies, stimulating some edginess and tension. Feelings of anger or competitiveness can be challenging to manage, process, integrate, or understand, especially since they may be displaced or unresolved as they’ve built from other times.

A Venus-Neptune semi-square, on the other hand, points to the tendency to gloss over problems or see what we want to see, imagining the best or the worst. Of course, the truth is somewhere in between. We might have temporary doubts about our lovability and worth or about relationships, pleasure, or comfort levels. Alternatively, we might go in the other direction and look the other way in the face of critical flaws and details.

The void Moon occurs from 12:20 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Neptune), until the Moon enters Gemini at 8:42 PM EDT.
