Monday, JUNE 10
The First Quarter Moon occurs early today when the Sun in Gemini forms a square with the Virgo Moon. There is a crisis theme surrounding any quarter Moon phase, as we feel compelled to take action. Shortly after, we are made aware of how our actions affect those close to us, perhaps through trial and error. Whatever project or initiative that we started around the New Moon is now off the ground, and it may face its first obstacles.
Also today, the Sun opposes Jupiter, forms a quincunx to Saturn, and a semi-square to Uranus (exact early tomorrow). Recent excesses can come to light, demanding a change or shuffling of priorities. Conflicting urges regarding what we think we should do and what we want to do can be an issue now. There are two areas of life where we have a particular need to shine, grow, and improve, represented by the Sun in Gemini and Jupiter in Sagittarius, but these may seem to be in direct conflict with one another, at least for now. Culminations or unexpected changes in a project or ambition might occur, and this can be a time for reaping the rewards. The urge to grow and expand is strong. If we’ve been overreaching, however, it may be time to adjust our expectations. We are especially sensitive to situations that feel too confining or limiting, but the desire to diversify and enjoy variety can clash with our material goals now.
The Moon is void from 8:02 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Pluto), until the Moon enters Libra at 8:30 PM EDT.
