The Sun aligns with Mars this morning, and this can be an especially vital, dynamic time when we thrive on activity and progress. Our more passionate, aggressive, and courageous natures come to the fore. We are direct and frank, and perhaps short-tempered and impulsive.

We should watch for bringing a strong ego to a situation, however. While it’s an excellent time to lead, we should avoid self-centered and egotistical behavior. Passions run high, but sudden urges and desires could be more about internal unrest than inner truth. If we can tap into our true desires, we can accomplish much.

Venus opposes Jupiter today, and we head toward both a Sun-Jupiter opposition and a Mars-Jupiter opposition. These transits are also enthusiastic but extravagant, having the effect of exaggerating or expanding our affections, and this state of mind can lead to overdoing, overstating our feelings, and overindulging.

It’s “borrow from the future” energy, and we should be careful not to commit to something we don’t yet have the resources for.

This powerful configuration is creative and excites our senses. We want to interact, create, and make an impact. This energy is enterprising and confident — our goals and expectations are high.

Culminations or unexpected changes in a project or goal can occur, and this can be a time to reap rewards. The urge to grow and expand is strong. If we’ve been overreaching, however, it may be time to adjust our expectations.

While we may want to act spontaneously, the lack of a plan could cause problems. The urge to experience something new or more freedom to explore can express itself as restlessness if we don’t know what we want.
