The Moon is Full in Taurus on November 8, 2022, at 6:02 AM EST. This is a Total Lunar Eclipse.
A Full Moon occurs when the Sun in Scorpio forms an opposition to the Moon in Taurus. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time – a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 16 degrees and 1 minute of Taurus, opposite the Sun at 16 degrees and 1 minute of Scorpio. It’s a busy eclipse with Mercury, Venus, Uranus, the Moon’s Nodes, and Saturn closely involved. There can be inflated feelings, and we can wrestle with strong urges and blocks, so it’s wise to sit with our revelations for a bit before taking action.
Note that this is one of several eclipses of a set occurring along the Taurus-Scorpio axis. There was a November 2021 Lunar Eclipse in Taurus, a Solar Eclipse in Taurus in April 2022, a Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio (Taurus’ opposite sign) in May 2022, a Solar Eclipse in Scorpio in October 2022, now a Lunar Eclipse in Taurus (November 2022). To come: a Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio in May 2023, and finally, a Lunar Eclipse in Taurus in October 2023.
This eclipse serves as another prompt, nudge, or push to make improvements in Taurus- and Scorpio-ruled areas of life in our charts, and feelings of discontent can magnify.
This eclipse affects people with personal planets and points at 12 to 20 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) most significantly.
