Retrograde Mercury retreats into Sagittarius today, where it will stay until January 13th. Mercury continues in retrograde motion until January 1st.

When Mercury is in Sagittarius, our thinking is idealistic and optimistic. We are most concerned with truth, justice, and fairness. However, we are not always very precise under this influence. We may now review or reassess our beliefs, opinions, studies, travel plans, published works, or legal documents.

The Moon continues its transit of Taurus all day, encouraging us to enjoy ourselves and appreciate what we have going for us. There can be a slowing down and stabilizing of our feelings for much of the day, with the exception of the hours surrounding the Moon-Venus opposition, when affections are more complicated. Earthy activities and sensual pleasures appeal now more than usual, and we find a sense of peace and contentment with that which is familiar and reliable.
