Mercury forms a trine to Saturn this morning, helping us get grounded and centered in our thinking. Conversations may be spare but to the point or instructive. This is a substantial time for making plans, helping others to understand our perspective, and for systematic thinking. A step-by-step approach to tasks and problems works best right now.

As the day advances, we’re more scattered. We head towards a Mercury-Jupiter square, exact early tomorrow, and the Sagittarius Moon forms squares to Mars and the Sun. These influences can create some friction, potentially stimulating impatient speech and decision-making. We should aim to be quick, not hasty. We may exaggerate, have a hard time putting our ideas to practical use, or overstate/promise too much under this influence. We can very well waste our time on inconsequential matters, but this can also be a good time to stretch our minds to entertain bigger possibilities. There is a tendency to overstate, say too much, exaggerate, or latch onto wild ideas. We may be somewhat blind to immediate realities. The First Quarter Moon occurs tonight at 11:10 PM EDT. This can be a time of stress, clashing, and discord, but also of great energy, motivation, and growth. We may be feeling especially ambitious and competitive.
