Mercury enters the sign of Virgo today and is in good company with Mars, Venus, and the Sun already transiting the sign. Mercury will transit Virgo until September 14th. During this cycle, we’re especially interested in more precision in our speech, thought, method, and process. Dealing with details is natural and comfortable now. We need to be careful that we don’t lose perspective if we find ourselves overly focused on the details. We should also be aware of the possibility of expressing ourselves in a too factual manner, so much so that we come across as dry, critical, or unimaginative. It’s an excellent time for organizing, sorting, and analyzing.

Today’s Sun-Uranus trine encourages us to embrace change and progress. We might make some changes or discoveries now, and our willingness to take a few creative risks and to experiment may be the key to success now. Nevertheless, with a Sun-Pluto challenge, we may need to fight off pressures to take control. The Moon continues its transit of Leo until 7:57 PM EDT, after which it heads into Virgo. We are just a day away from a New Moon in the sign, and while the Sun-Uranus influence can help inspire confidence in our plans, we should make some effort to wind down. New directions are in the works, and today’s new beginnings may not pick up steam.
