Mercury stations and turns retrograde today in the sign of Sagittarius, and it will continue its retrograde journey until the 29th. Some delays or information clogs are possible. During this cycle, our thinking turns inward as we review and reassess matters.

Mercury retrograde periods can be times of heightened inner awareness — times when meditation, journaling, reworking old plans, and reviewing past work are favored more than usual.

Minor breaks in the mechanical aspects of communication and transportation can reconnect us to other, possibly more meaningful, means of connecting.

This retrograde cycle is strong for reviewing our beliefs, ideas, sense of adventure, spirit, publishing pursuits, and educational goals. We look at projects, items, situations, problems, and even people in new ways. There can be information clogs that push this new perspective–as we wait, we become more resourceful and creative!

The more difficult times are the periods of the shifts themselves (the days surrounding the stations — today and November 29th), after which we grow more and more accustomed to the motion.

Also today, with Venus semi-sextile Mars, we might struggle with whether to take a direct or indirect approach to getting what we want. We may be better off recognizing that it doesn’t have to be one way or the other–a combination would be ideal, or else the see-sawing can be confusing to all.
