Pisces

Jupiter, the planet of plenty, travels through your sign, dear Pisces, most of the year. This brings much warmth and generosity to your already big-hearted personality. [Dates for Jupiter in Pisces are January 17-June 6, and then again from September 8-December 31 and beyond (until January 22/2011)]

Uranus has been awakening your sign for years. Pisceans have been encountering some challenges in primary relationships in recent years, and this trend does continue in 2010, but is especially noticeable for those born very late in the sign, March 17-20, or who have a Pisces Ascendant of 26-30 degrees. With Uranus in Pisces for years and continuing much of the year in 2010, Pisces have become more independent in general. They have insisted on equality in their partnerships, and this is likely quite surprising to a partner! Pisces are known for their selflessness and acceptance, so the electric Uranian energy in your life recently, dear Pisces, has thrown a few people you know for a loop. Don’t worry, the important people will adjust and accommodate your new need for self-expression. Just try to avoid making unnecessary sweeping changes, and make sure you discern between rebellious behavior and fair behavior. For Pisces born March 18-20, this is an all-new energy for you, although you have likely felt it “in the works” for some time. With both Jupiter and Uranus in your sign most of the year, we have a real emphasis this year on you discovering yourself, getting in touch with what makes you happy, and learning about your limits and potentials. Many Pisces and Pisces Ascendants encountered opposition from a partner or felt a lot of pressure to conform, but managed to resist it. Those born late in the sign (March 18-20) are still dealing with these issues this year. However, the rest of you are moving beyond these issues. Some of you have ended a primary relationship and now will be facing division of property as well as other sharing issues, such as child visitation and other such matters. Some of you have solidified a partnership, and the relationship is not quite the same–ideally it’s very much improved and accommodates your needs much better than it did before; and in 2010 you will be dealing with the same type of sharing issues, except in terms of how you are dealing with joint or shared resources as a unit. Some of you will be dealing with tests and strains on the resources of a partner or ex-partner. There may also be some intimacy issues to deal with–also on the lines of sharing. This year and the next, while Saturn is making its way through Libra, you will be sorting out the contributions each partner is making to a relationship. Some of you may be dealing with arguments with a partner (or ex) over money and/or sexuality and concepts of “ownership”. For singles, Saturn here can bring some level of seriousness and a sense of responsibility to intimate matters. You won’t be taking sexual connections as casually, for example. There can be a feeling of loneliness as you may be longing for more from your sex life than what you are getting now, and this may be more of a quality issue than a quantity one, although either issue can be involved with Saturn here. There can be some difficulties satisfying the libido.

Some of you will be dealing with partners who feel alienated or even jealous as the focus seems to be on you and discovering yourself. It’s not an ideal, for certain, but the reality is that sometimes a close partner can feel insecure as their partner expresses more joy, independence, and desire for change–and these are things that many of you are expressing as Jupiter and Pisces move through your sign much of the year. You cannot be held back by an envious or insecure partner, for certain, but you can soften things for them if you choose to by doing what you do best, and that is empathizing. Jupiter can bring wonderful feelings and happy circumstances, but it can also encourage us to overdo whatever it is touching. In this case, you might possibly be over-emphasizing your own ego needs and wants.

The focus is on freedom and discovery in 2010. A more buoyant mood can certainly attract positive circumstances into your life. Restlessness may encourage you to do more with your life, but it can also leave you frustrated. Stay humble and keep things moderate.

Those born early in the sign of Pisces (February 21-24) are experiencing an eye-opening harmonious transit from Pluto in 2010. Group work and friendships are very positive and transforming for you this year, and you could find many opportunities to heal and empower yourself through them. Your friendships and possibly group associations are likely to deepen, and you feel more “alive” and vital as a result. You are likely taking more creative risks this year in an effort to pursue dreams that suit your deepest needs. You are becoming more self-assured, and love relationships can benefit as a result.

But this same group of Pisces born early in the sign will be facing some challenges. Changes in your friendships as noted above could become the source of difficulties in an intimate relationship, and will likely be resolved in mid-2010.

Because Mercury rules your partnership sector, its retrograde periods are significant to you and your love relationships. You could find relationships are sluggish, challenging, or even moving “backwards” during these periods. They occur from December 26/2009-January 15/2010, April 17-May 11, August 20-September 12, and December 10-30. From August 20-September 12 in particular, while Mercury is retrograde in your partnership sector, you should be cautious about making sweeping decisions, and should avoid serious conversations or decisions about your relationship. The likelihood of misunderstanding a partner runs high. If a partner is distant during these periods, give him/her some space and don’t pressure.

The Venus retrograde from October 8-November 18 affects everyone in general, mainly in the areas of love and finances, and its position by sign in your solar chart suggests that your intimate life may be involved. There could be misunderstandings in your sexual relationships, some distance or coolness, and/or regarding debts, loans, and shared finances.

Eclipses this year again affect your more casual love relationships. These have been tested in 2009, so it’s not a new energy for you! A Lunar Eclipse occurred in your romance sector on December 31st/2009 and a Solar Eclipse occurs on July 11. The lunar eclipse on December 31 can bring tests and challenges to a casual love affair in the early months of 2010. In July, circumstances and events call for a new beginning or fresh start on a romantic level. You will be learning to take risks, and to develop the courage to strike out on your own individual and creative path without fear. You are learning to deal with lovers in a more personal, involved, and loving manner, rather than falling back on reason and intellect, which detaches you from your feelings.

While they never align, Venus and Mars move through your partnership sector from July 11-29, heating up a close partnership. Some of you could meet a person during this period who could become a partner in the future. Already committed Pisceans will find this Venus-Mars period is a good one for spicing up a current relationship.

Both Venus and Mars move through your intimacy sector from August 7 to September 8, joining forces on August 21st. This brings a strong opportunity for bringing more sizzle into your life. An especially exciting sexual/romantic experience can occur now.
