Like the lines from Bittersweet Symphony by the Verve, “I need to hear some sounds that recognize the pain in me, yeah/ I let the melody shine, let it cleanse my mind, I feel free now…”, sometimes music helps.

This one by Dido is good for a Neptunian disappointment…discovering that “you’re just a boy, not a man, (and I’m not coming back)”…

Another huge fave, by Sinead O’Connor, Thank You for Hearing Me. I would have to say that this is what I consider the most beautiful song about a relationship that has ended, and coming to peace with it…

The Cranberries, Daffodil Lament, about getting the courage to leave and move on, after struggling with the decision…

Imogen Heap’s The Moment I Said It, about the realization that a lover is likely leaving her (for someone else)…
