Hi,

Strange to stumble on this blog and notice that I am in fact also in Mars 12th retrograde...and I must admit, I have been enjoying my sleep more than usual as well...also usually an insomniac. My dreams are more vivid. I somehow got fixated on Twilight (the movie) and since watching it the first time, want to watch it over and over again, which is unusual for me...I'm usually practical to the point of irritating myself.

Not to mention the inexplicable health issues that just cropped up, a lingering infection just flaired up out of nowhere. Thankfully, I had the common sense this time to not rush off to the doctor for antibiotics but found a natural alternative (MMS and Colloidal silver) that is fixing it quite remarkably...(note, when I say lingering, I mean for some years now on a systemic level that just makes you feel run down.) My point being, this Mars in 12th has made me have to consider changing my tactics, taking more time for myself etc and spending more effort on taking care of my health. I am very pleased to mention that I spent this festive season close to family, but avoided stress, hectic schedules, malls and social events like the plague...and I feel much better for it. It also got me to thinking that I need to love myself more as I have resented the energy I always used to pour into my relationships with little return on investment...mmmm...maybe the sleep and change of pace happens for very constructive reasons.

Thanks for this post. I am currently in one of those longer-than-usual-due-to-retrograde Mars in the 12th transits. I have been sleeping much more than usual (with me this is almost a relief as I am often an insomniac) and have just injured my back more severely than I have in 20 years. Sigh. Good to read your post and realize that this is, in a way, "normal"--and that my instinct to be quiet and alone as much as possible to make space for deep inner clearing is a good one.
