ErosScopes: September 2010 Love Horoscopes for Aries to Virgo

Horoscopes for the month ahead, with a focus on love, sex, romance, and style.

Eros was the god of erotic love. The position of the asteroid Eros in our charts points to our passion and erotic turn-ons. Mars shows us the style in which we go after what we want, including the ways in which we express our sexuality. Venus shows us some of the important “trappings” and foreplay that help us get in the mood for sex. The Moon shows our underlying emotional needs that can express themselves as sexual fantasies and needs.

While the positions of these planets and cosmic bodies in our natal charts remain static, their positions are always changing in the cosmos, activating houses and hotspots in our natal charts. The horoscopes presented here are necessarily general, as we are focusing on only the Sun sign or Ascendant, and how these sexual cosmic bodies are currently affecting the natal chart.

Also, sometimes I have more to say for some signs, simply because more astrological activity is taking place that is related to relationships for that sign this month (or because I am digressing!). This does not mean I am biased towards any particular sign.

September 2010 ErosScopes – Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, and Virgo

Aries

Love can be a little on the complicated side this month, dear Aries, and certainly not boring. The energy in a close partnership continues to run high, and for those of you who are single, you are learning a whole lot about what it is you want from relationships — and these desires and needs are shifting and evolving. Venus will be spending an unusually long time in your solar eighth house from the 8th of September until November 7th, and then November 29th to January 7th. During this period, you will get the opportunity to improve the intimacy in your relationships, and your attitude towards sharing. You might crave a deeper connection during this period, and you’re more likely to receive the emotional support and backing you need. There will be a few lessons along the way, particularly when Venus moves in retrograde motion from October 8th to November 18th, when your perspective on these matters changes. Mars and Eros move into your intimacy sector as well mid-month, promising much on a deep, erotic, and highly personal level. Aries is not the most strategic of signs, preferring to act now and think later, so that when Mars enters your solar eighth house and you are more deliberate and contemplative, you can really benefit from using some strategy. The 16th to 20th brings powerful insights into the past and how you might bring this new awareness into the future. The Full Moon on the 23rd is in your own sign, bringing a personal revelation to light or some other emotionally-charged matter. Stronger days for love are more likely on September 5th, 11-12th, and 18th. The 5th and 11th are especially strong for repairing and healing close relationships. September 3rd and 20th require a little more care.

Taurus

Until the 22nd, with the Sun illuminating your romance, creativity, and fun sector, dear Taurus, it’s likely to be a feel-good time for love matters. As well, there’s a New Moon occurring on September 8th in your romance sector, bringing a fresh start to this area of your life, just as the goddess of love, Venus, enters your partnership sector. This is, of course, good news for love relationships, but the real green light comes after the 12th. Before the 12th, you might find that a lover is very focused (or even harping) on the past. Single Tauruses might be receiving unclear messages from love interests, or rethinking a past relationship. After the 12th, all Tauruses will have a clearer idea about where they stand. Mid-month, Mars and Eros join Venus in your partnership sector, really heating things up. While this can bring some level of strife to your relationships, Venus’ presence in the same sector can help soften and smooth matters. Conflicts experienced now fairly demand resolution. It’s important that you don’t fall back on the tendency to avoid problems, or to write off any anger by assigning it to a partner. Mars will continue to move through your partnership sector until October 28th, and Venus, your ruler, will spend an unusually long time in this same sector (from September 8th to November 7th, and then November 29th to January 7th). As such, negotiations, better relating patterns, and one-on-one time will be in focus this month and beyond. Better days for love in September are likely on the 4-5th, 11-12th and 18th. The 3rd might be trickier.

Gemini

The first half of September finds you at your most playful and magnetic, dear Gemini. Venus continues to grace your romance and creative sector until the 8th, boosting your natural powers of attraction, and both Mars and Eros heat up the same sector until mid-month. During this period, the desire to have fun through your relationships is stimulated. The 4-5th are especially strong days for personal magnetism. After these dates, your solar sixth house, generally associated with work and health, is highlighted. Your focus turns to the parts that make up the whole, and becomes a little more practical and serious. Nevertheless, the Sun moves into your “party” sector on the 22nd, so it’s definitely not going to be all work and no play. Until the 12th, Mercury, your ruler, is still retrograde, and while the general mood is exciting, you might also be feeling some hesitancy about making decisions. You are not likely to be making any commitments. After the 12th, decision making becomes more straightforward. From the 14th-20th, your partnership ruler, Jupiter, aligns with electric Uranus in your career sector. This can point to sudden or surprising events revolving around partnership for some, and it might mean a “chance” meeting for single Geminis, possibly in the professional realm. Revelations and eye-opening experiences through a significant other can occur during this period. Cancer

As September progresses, dear Cancer, you become more willing to live in the moment and have some fun. It all begins with Venus entering your romance sector on the 8th, and you’ll find nice energy for attracting what and who you want into your life. A New Moon occurs on the 8th in a very sociable, communicative, and friendly sector of your chart. Mid-month brings assertive Mars and passionate Eros into your romance sector, and this is when you are more willing to take a few risks and pursue romance. This stimulating energy continues through most of October as well (until October 28th when both Mars and Eros leave this sector), so take advantage. You have more verve and confidence during this cycle. Jupiter aligning with Uranus in fellow water sign, Pisces, on the 14-20 adds to this theme, especially for those of you born late in the sign. Openness and willingness to share your feelings and visions bring even more opportunities into your life. Others are likely to find you especially companionable, interesting, and generally fun to be around. This is all very light and easy energy, and a nice change from the more self-protective theme that you likely experienced in August. Leo

In September, dear Leo, you are moving from a more light-hearted and flirtatious attitude towards love, to a deeper, more intimate frame of mind. Venus enters Scorpio on the 8th, and then both Eros and Mars follow by mid-month. Scorpio is passionate and intense as it is, and is associated with your home and family sector, which is a very “deep” and personal area of your chart. You are more protective, private, and emotional about love now. Feelings run especially deep. However, your romance sector ruler, Jupiter, aligns once again with exciting Uranus this month on the 18th in your intimacy sector. This can bring sudden and stimulating changes to your love life. Deep feelings are awakened, and this energy can bring about an epiphany of sorts about your own relationship needs. For some of you, there can be a chance meeting that floors you — takes you unawares into a new dimension of feeling. Uranus rules your partnership sector, and with the rulers of your romance sector and partnership sector coming together, an existing romance might be taken to a whole new level of intimacy. Virgo

September is a strong month for feeling more personally powerful and effective, dear Virgo, especially after the 12th when Mercury, your ruler, turns direct. The first week of the month is best used for re-organizing and tying up loose ends. The New Moon on the 8th gives you a nice boost of energy and begins a month-long cycle in which making personal changes and improvements is favored. Love matters tend to be clear and straightforward. From mid-month, communication with a romantic partner or interest is in focus. For many of you, giving voice to your desires figures strongly, and conversations can quickly become quite steamy. Venus, Mars, and Eros will be moving through your communications sector from mid-month — a light-hearted, friendly, and pleasant sector of your chart. It’s an excellent time for attracting others through your manner of speech, as well as for having open conversations about your wants and desires in love. From the 14-20, Jupiter and Pisces are aligned in your opposite sign, Pisces, and your partnership sector. This can bring sudden changes or insights into close relationships.
