ErosScopes: June 2010 Love Horoscopes for Aries through Virgo

Horoscopes for the month ahead, with a focus on love, sex, romance, and style.

Eros was the god of erotic love. The position of the asteroid Eros in our charts points to our passion and erotic turn-ons. Mars shows us the style in which we go after what we want, including the ways in which we express our sexuality. Venus shows us some of the important “trappings” and foreplay that help us get in the mood for sex. The Moon shows our underlying emotional needs that can express themselves as sexual fantasies and needs.

While the positions of these planets and cosmic bodies in our natal charts remain static, their positions are always changing in the cosmos, activating houses and hotspots in our natal charts. The horoscopes presented here are necessarily general, as we are focusing on only the Sun sign or Ascendant, and how these sexual cosmic bodies are currently affecting the natal chart.

Also, sometimes I have more to say for some signs, simply because more astrological activity is taking place that is related to relationships for that sign this month (or because I am digressing!). This does not mean I am biased towards any particular sign.

June 2010 ErosScopes – Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, and Virgo

Aries

Your love life is certainly exciting this month, dear Aries, and you’re feeling especially amorous and affectionate, ready to go out on a limb for love. Both loving Venus and passionate Mars occupy your fifth house of romance and play in June. You continue to pursue romance and to take the lead in love this month, but by the 7th, you are less aggressive, and by the 14th, peaceable and ready to enjoy being pursued. Luckily, a partner is feeling especially romantic and playful. Last month, you were just as ardent (if not more) in love, but a partner may not have been following your lead. This month, you’re on the same page. Your powers of attraction skyrocket in June. You are ready to take part in all sorts of love games. Your confidence runs high in general, and the desire to break free from restricting or limiting circumstances is strong. For some of you, something has come to an end in your life, whether it’s an attitude, lifestyle, or relationship. However, whatever it is, the doors are opening for something entirely new and potentially very rewarding. Friends, travel, or expansion opportunities are playing a big role in your new experience this month. There can be some struggle between the demands of family and home and those of your career and professional responsibilities, particularly towards the end of the month when a Lunar Eclipse occurs at the top of your chart, right on Pluto, which has been pushing for change on a professional or public level.  There’s been some kind of neglect in that area of life, and it’s time to pay more attention. Especially for those of you born March 21-22, this is a month of tremendous changes to the manner in which you greet the world. Better days for love in June are the 9-10, 15th, and 22nd; more challenging days for love are possible on the 2nd, 8th, and 14th.

Taurus

Your romantic life picks up pace this month, dear Taurus, although it’s not without its fair share of drama. You have been a little passive when it comes to your love life recently, and all of this is about to change after the 7th. Some adjustments and changes are necessary in order to bring harmony back to this area of your life. While others might not see it, a whole lot is going on inside you. Your dreaming world is vivid and intuition exceptionally active, and you are receiving all sorts of prompts to make inner changes. Listen to your inner voice! Some of these feelings and intuitive flashes revolve around your career and social standing. As well, your attitude towards intimacy and the way you express yourself on this level are changing. You’re thinking about give-take and working on balancing that part of your life with a lover. Some of you could be downright combative this month, which is not your usual style at all, but most of you are simply more direct, open, and assertive about your needs in love. The Lunar Eclipse on the 26th will affect your love life for those of you who are attached. A new discovery, epiphany, or outpouring of emotion is likely to occur in the last week of June. Pay close attention to what a partner is experiencing now. Your usual style is to keep calm and composed, and sometimes to avoid uncomfortable situations. Gemini

Socially, June brings excitement and opportunity, dear Gemini. Meeting new people, sudden new friendships, and, for some of you, partnership opportunities and plot twists are themes this month. Experimentation is especially important to you, as you are feeling adventurous and courageous. Others will find you especially witty and interesting, particularly from the 10-25, when you are super sharp, alert, and bright. Jupiter moving into the assertive sign of Aries this month and aligning with electric Uranus brings much excitement and spontaneity, and perhaps some level of rebellion or instability, to your love life. This theme will continue into 2011. Some of you might even make sudden and impulsive commitments or experience love at first sight during this period. An existing partner is certainly more assertive and freedom-loving. A new partner could appear quite suddenly and totally change your outlook on life. Changes might be dizzying at times, but spontaneity and a spirit of openness will bring the most rewards. It’s not the time to dig in your heels and resist change, or you will be left behind. Cancer

The goddess of love continues her journey through your sign until the 14th, dear Cancer. This position gives you natural confidence about expressing your affection, charm, and more attractive qualities. This is a period ripe with opportunity for attracting others, for turning on the charm, and for receiving positive feedback from partners or love interests. Love seems to come to you without the need for your pursuing it. More and more clarity is brought to a close partnership, or to your relationship needs and plans if you’re single, this month. A partner is taking more interest in you and is increasingly more willing to cement the bond between you. However, the last week of the month brings surprising events and twists to your love life. Some of you have been trying to bring a more casual relationship to a new level or pushing for a commitment, and encountering challenges. Power games and manipulative tactics are tempting but preferably avoided. Events now can bring to a head some of the tensions that have been brewing under the surface. Leo

The goddess of love in the twelfth and last sector of your solar chart until the 14th suggests the need to connect to something bigger than yourself in your love life, and this can involve making some sacrifices. However, monumental shifts are occurring this month that suggest some kind of rebirth in your love life. For one, Venus enters your own sign on the 14th and your natural confidence in your powers of attraction win you an appreciative audience. For another, Eros, the god of erotic love, is traveling through your sign all month, coloring your world with a fantastic urge to seek out and enjoy romance and love games. The most powerful influence, however, involves the rulers of both your partnership sector and romance sectors changing signs, from Pisces to Aries, and joining forces! This doesn’t happen often, and represents a real shift in your love life. Virgo

Until the 14th, Venus is moving through your solar eleventh house, dear Virgo, and the need for a lover to accept you for who you are rather than pushing you to fit some kind of mold is strong. From the 14th, Venus, the goddess of love, moves into your solar twelfth house, where she is more introspective. It’s natural for you to need more time to connect with what it is you want from love during this cycle. Love can be a little complicated and hard to define for the time being. Jupiter and Uranus are moving out of your partnership sector for a couple months, and into your intimacy sector, and will return to this position again in 2011. Energy now and this summer can be considered a preview of energies to come, and is certain to bring change, excitement, and experimentation to your sex life. You’ll be wanting more excitement and openness from your intimate life, which can take you on some very interesting adventures this summer. Your attitude towards casual love relationships is evolving again this year, as you continue to explore what it is that truly–and deeply–brings you the greatest pleasure.
