The horoscopes presented here are necessarily general, as we are focusing on only the Sun sign or Ascendant, and how these sexual cosmic bodies are currently affecting the natal chart.

June 2009 ErosScopes

Aries

Your personal desires are becoming less insistent and possibly as a result easier to manage this month, dear Aries. Venus leaves your sign on June 5th, and Mars left it on May 31st. This means less attention coming your way, but also less focus on the self, which can actually feel more comfortable overall. Your desires remain potent, but the shift to your solar second house suggests more patience and stronger ability to enjoy the moment. Sensuality is a strong focus now. Material comforts become more important to you. Your attraction to secrets of the heart continues this month, and will for months to come.  With your ruler, Mars, and the ruler of your partnership sector, Venus, traveling close to one another (and joining on the 20th), this can be symbolic of being “on the same page” with a close partner. The ruler of your romance sector is traveling through your house of communications until the 20th, opening up the lines of communication with a lover, and introducing a need for variety of experience. The 19-21 is strong for a feeling of stability in your life and in partnership, and this is exactly what you’re craving.

Taurus

Venus enters your sign on the 5th, and Mars has just entered Taurus (on May 31st), dear Taurus. After months of possible indecision, personal sacrifice, and retrospect, you are now feeling like you are in the driver’s seat when it comes to your love life. It should be an enjoyable, although possibly dramatic, period in your life. Your personal charisma skyrockets, and you are getting quite a bit of attention now. Your (renewed) confidence in yourself is certainly turning heads. While Mars in your sign could mean you’re coming on a little too strong (or self-centered), Venus’ presence there as well generally suggests that you can pull it off in a charming manner.  Reflection and rest in the past months is likely to pay off for you in June, and you feel more confident about going after what you want. If there was any lull in your love life during the Venus retrograde period in March to April, you’re certainly making up for it this month. The 20-23 is strong for animal magnetism, with Venus and Mars conjunct in your sign. Conflicts with money with a partner may be an issue, however.

Gemini

Venus and Mars are now heading into the sign just behind yours, dear Gemini, and this signals a time of some introspection and reflection when it comes to your love life. Energy and vitality might sometimes be lacking this month, as you require more rest and time for reflection. You might find yourself re-evaluating important parts of your life. Partnerships require sensitivity around the Full Moon on the 7th, when a mini-crisis illuminates problems that have been developing out of sight. Your dreams and intuition are telling you something this month, and it’s wise to hear them out without jumping into premature action. During this period, you might be making some personal sacrifices for a partner or lover, and you may be called upon to help out, serve, or lend a shoulder. It could be hard to find satisfaction if you don’t go this route. Circumstances or your own reticence may prevent you from openly declaring or expressing your needs in love. Cancer

From the 6th, both Venus and Mars are in your friendship sector. This is a pleasant place for the planets of love and sex, although not an especially passionate or personal one. The alignment of these two planets on the 19-21 can point to a romance with or through friends, particularly with their trine to Saturn, your partnership ruler, it can also simply signify a strengthening of ties with your significant other. Stimulating social opportunities are likely now. The 22-23, on the other hand, can be stormy for a romance. Pluto, your romance sector ruler, forms tense aspects with the Sun (early in your own sign), as well as Venus and Mars. This occurs just after the New Moon in your sign. Conflict with a partner might set the stage for needed change in your life. Watch for bad tempers, possessiveness, and generally unfriendly vibes. Conversations about, and thoughts of, the past figure strongly this month until the last week, when you are likely to enjoy increased energy and a new vision. Stronger days for love this month occur on the 2-4 and 20-21.

Leo

Mars entering Taurus on May 31st, and Venus entering this earthy sign as well on June 6th, may not be as exciting as last month for you, dear Leo, when these planets of love and sex were in a fellow Fire sign. However, they are certainly bringing stimulation to your public and professional life. Love may be more practical for you these days, and perhaps a little formal, too. Eros moves through your eighth house, and will remain there for months, however, awakening your spirit to the joys of new depths of intimacy. Your life is busy in June, and at times rather demanding, with focus on public and impersonal matters far more than personal ones. You’re going to be feeling the need for more rest and privacy in the last week of the month, however. June is a strong period for making connections, particularly professional ones, and especially around the 19-21. You may meet someone special through your career or business connections. When you’re showing your managerial, competent, and ambitious side, you’re especially attractive this month. The Full Moon on the 7th occurs in your romance sector. Events at that time force you to pay more attention to romance, fun, and entertainment.

Virgo

Mars is now in fellow Earth sign, Taurus, and Venus follows suit on the 6th, which is good news for your love life, dear Virgo. This is an easy energy for you. The earthy sensuality of Taurus is an energy that you appreciate and enjoy, and that is the kind of energy that is dominating the world of love in June. While last month you were taking love quite seriously, June brings a more spirited and adventurous attitude towards romance and relationships. While you will be paying a lot of attention to your work this month, you will find it easier than usual to leave it behind you and enjoy your time off. Mercury, your ruler, is no longer retrograde, which can also come as a relief, as you are finding it easier to express yourself confidently. Your good humor and joie de vivre is most attractive this month. Do something you haven’t done before, and you’re more likely to attract who and what you want. A philosophical discussion could take your heart forward by leaps and bounds. Different people (those who you don’t normally consider your “type”) attract you. Libra

Mars has left your partnership sector and Venus makes her exit on the 6th. From the 6th on, the planets of love and sex will be moving through your intimacy sector, and on the 19-21, will align with one another there. This brings a strong opportunity period for you in love and partnership, as Venus is your sign ruler, and Mars rules your partnership sector. This is a time when your innermost desires and perhaps fears are stimulated. Your need for intimacy deepens, and feelings of jealousy and possessiveness are likely to emerge in some shape or form. You can opt to have fun with them, if you’d like, and explore some of your more taboo or atypical desires. Superficial expressions of love or desire are unlikely to satisfy you in June. You are not accepting things at face value this month, particularly when it comes to close personal relationships. Your intuitive radar is especially powerful at this time, but it will be important to not allow the darker side of your emotions skew your perceptions and interfere with fun. Scorpio

June is an especially dynamic month for relating, dear Scorpio. Whether it is your partner who is initiating exciting changes, or it’s you who is looking for more spice, June brings a more impassioned approach to your relationships. Personal plans tend to be on the back burner for the time being, as the needs of significant others seem more pressing concerns. Make sure the competitiveness you feel in your relationships is kept at a healthy level. This is a period of fireworks for partnerships–sometimes stimulating, but for some it could be like open warfare! Fortunately, you have Venus hanging around fiery Mars, helping to smooth things over. Eros, the god of erotic love, is in your romance sector, and will stay there for some months to come. You have a bigger than usual appetite for sexual pleasures—and tremendous charm. Sagittarius

Last month, Venus and Mars moved through a very fun sector of your chart. Mars moves into a not-as-exciting sector, the sixth house of work and routines, and Venus follows suit on the 6th. What does this mean for you? Well, love isn’t going to be quite as happy-go-lucky for you this month, dear Sagittarius, but for some of you, it could mean love or social opportunities arise through your work connections or through the routines and everyday activities of your life. An office romance or flirtation could heat up. For others, it’s an especially creative period for work, organizing, and the like. Your charisma may very well skyrocket on the job, and some friendly competition is bound to keep work matters stimulating. You are at your magnetic best when you stay disciplined, stick to your schedule, and honor others’ schedules as well. This month, you are most successful performing tasks that involve cooperation and team harmony. You are more likely to fuss over your lover and show your affection through practical gestures. Try to avoid nitpicking and over-analyzing love, though! A partner is more likely to be open and expressive, willing to discuss anything under the sun, which is in great contrast to last month’s tight-lipped theme. Capricorn

Fiery Mars moved into fellow Earth sign, Taurus, at the end of May, and Venus joins him on June 6th. With both the planet of love and sex in your romance sector, June is likely to be a stimulating, enjoyable, and dynamic month for love, dear Capricorn. The earthy sensuality of Taurus energy is something that you not only understand, but are thoroughly attracted to, and the world seems to be speaking this love language most of June. These planets of love and desire are in earthy Taurus–an energy that doesn’t mix especially well with you, and might even bore you a tad! Venus and Mars moving into Taurus this month creates an energy surrounding love that is more understandable and compatible to your nature than it was last month, when expression of love and desire was a little too temperamental and hot-headed for your liking. These planets of love and desire move through your expressive and communicative solar third house for most of June, aligning on the 19-21, and bringing with it an opportunity to make a very stimulating connection.
