The horoscopes presented here are necessarily general, as we are focusing on only the Sun sign or Ascendant, and how these sexual cosmic bodies are currently affecting the natal chart.

Aries

This month, Venus and Mars leave earthy Taurus and enter inquisitive Gemini–Venus on the 5th and Mars on the 12th. Until then, material comforts and physical pleasures continue to be emphasized for you, dear Aries, after which the planets of love and sex in Gemini and your solar third house bring a livelier energy to your love life–an energy that you appreciate a little more. A need for variety and movement in your love life becomes very apparent. Creative self-expression soars, and you are bound to learn the power of words–to stimulate, move, and delight others, but, at times, they can be too powerful or the opposite, limited. Your attraction to secrets of the heart continues this month, and will until September. The ruler of your romance sector is traveling through your house of home, family, and the heart until the 22nd, so while you’re thirsty for interaction and stimulation, you’re not entirely ready for fun and games. Moving into your romance sector on the 22nd, however, and you’re raring to go. July brings two eclipses, impacting your personal life, family, and home, as well as your professional life, career, and reputation, bringing new insights and revelations, as well as needed changes.

Taurus

Venus leaves your sign on the 5th, and Mars does the same on the 12th, dear Taurus. Your love life begins to settle down with these planetary movements, and this is not necessarily a bad thing–for some, it could be considered a bit of a relief. Still, the planets of love and sex in the airy sign of Gemini aren’t energies you completely relate to. Before these dates, you’re still getting your “way” and coming out on top. Eclipses this month keep you on your toes. There are errands to run, calls and emails to make, and paperwork to sort out. In fact, from the 7-11, life’s pressures and demands tend to “eclipse” more pleasureful activities. Do your best to tend to these matters in an orderly fashion, making lists and following them, or you could put yourself through unnecessary stress. Take it easy, as well on the 21-22, if at all possible. A lover is in an especially communicative mood until mid-month, when love settles down and security is what satisfies you most. You’re attracted to peaceful, accepting, and equal relationships these days. Better, although surprising, days for love this month are the 26-28.

Gemini

The planets and love and sex enter your sign this month, on the 5th and then the 12th, and your romantic life begins to take top priority, picks up pace, and brings plenty of interesting surprises. While you’ve likely been indecisive, or at least cautious, when it came to matters of the heart recently, you’re beginning to not only know what and who you want, but also confident enough to go for it. It should be an enjoyable, although sometimes dramatic, period in your life–one that extends into August. Your personal charisma skyrockets, and you are getting quite a bit of attention now. Others are following your lead, and this is especially true of love interests and friends, who tend to have your best interests at heart. Eros in square aspect to your Sun continues this month and until September. While your need for passionate feedback from others is strong, you might want to examine whether it’s a little too self-centered. While Venus is in Gemini, from the 5th to August 1st, the world seems to be speaking, or at least appreciating, your “love language”. Cancer

July is a big month for relating, as well as for personal changes and revelations, dear Cancer. Eye-opening experiences occur this month, and could be experienced as relationship “tests” that necessitate negotiating and compromising. A lunar eclipse in your partnership sector on the 7th is the energy behind this, and directly impacts close partnerships. Even if you’re not currently coupled, the theme here is what you project onto others, and your attitude towards relationships and dependency. These tests, illuminations, and dramas occurring from the 5-8 set the stage for a strong need to revamp your approach to life. A Solar Eclipse occurs in the last degree of your sign on the 21st, and you experience an increased drive to take charge of your life. Big personal changes are in the works, and they involve letting go of outworn attitudes. Venus and Mars entering your solar twelfth house, on the 5th and 12th respectively, signals a time of some introspection and reflection when it comes to your love life. Energy lows are a sign that you require more rest and time for reflection. Leo

You will likely have more opportunities to socialize, although until the last week of the month, you’re in a naturally more reclusive phase as you take the time to reevaluate your goals and rely on your intuition and messages from dreams quite heavily. The Solar Eclipse on the 21st is in the very last degree of the sign just behind yours, Cancer, implying the need for spiritual renewal through ridding yourself of attitudes, generally revolving around guilt of underperforming, that are no longer serving for the good in your life. While your attention to your inner world is essential this month, do what you can to get yourself involved with others, through clubs, groups, and other social events, because these are the settings in which your personal magnetism is the strongest now.

Virgo

Venus and Mars are in fellow Earth sign, Taurus, until the 5th and the 12th respectively, giving you the chance to bask in this easy love energy a little while longer, dear Virgo. The earthy sensuality of Taurus is an energy that you appreciate and enjoy. However, these planets of love and sex then enter airy Gemini and your solar tenth house, bringing a more nervous and perhaps formal air to your love life. While the desire to communicate is strong, and you do appreciate this side of Gemini as you share the ruler, Mercury, it’s also a sign that can make you feel pressured. Libra

Venus and Mars move into fellow Air sign, Gemini, on the 5th and 12th, respectively, and Gemini is an energy that you understand and feel comfortable with for the most part. Love is certainly going to be more adventurous for you with these placements. Your curiosity is piqued and your sense of fun stimulated. Your good humor and joie de vivre is most attractive this month. Do something you haven’t done before, and you’re more likely to attract who and what you want. A philosophical discussion could take your heart forward by leaps and bounds. Different people (those who you don’t normally consider your “type”) attract you. You’re looking for new and different people and experiences. The exotic and the unknown now have more appeal to you than the familiar, and these days, a partner is on the same page. In other words, if you have the urge to go out and explore, you won’t find it too difficult to encourage a partner to come along. The 1-2 and 4-8 are more challenging periods of July, when the potential for disappointments in romance is there, but these experiences can also be extremely eye-opening. The solution to discontent seems to be to offer one another more freedom of expression, as scary as that may sound. Scorpio

Relationships have been anything but dull for you recently, dear Scorpio. As Venus and Mars move out of your partnership sector and into your intimacy sector, on the 5th and 12th respectively, and your relationship issues become more internalized, deeper, and perhaps more complicated as well. Until those dates, the more obvious fireworks you’ve been experiencing continue, as you and a partner attempt to settle issues revolving around equality, support, and feedback. From the 12th, both Venus and Mars in Gemini don’t create an energy that is obviously or naturally compatible with your own nature. Your need for intimacy deepens, and feelings of jealousy and possessiveness are likely to emerge in some shape or form. You can opt to have fun with them, if you’d like, which you quite naturally do, and explore some of your more taboo or atypical desires. Your intuitive radar is especially powerful at this time, but it will be important to not allow the darker side of your emotions skew your perceptions and interfere with fun. Sagittarius

While Venus and Mars are still traveling through Taurus, until the 5th and 12th, the practical or mundane side of love relationships continues to dominate. Your personal desires might, however, with the Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Mars in the social sector of your solar chart, but the cosmos are urging you to pay strong attention to the other people in your life on whom you depend. There are plenty of negotiations and compromises to make in July. Love is spicy, stimulating, sometimes challenging, but ultimately very satisfying. “Heated discussions” with a close partner may be part of the picture from mid-month . Pisces

This shift brings you into a cycle of some introspection and self-protectiveness, even though you are feeling confident overall. You are at your magnetic best when you listen to your gut feelings this month. Your heart is with your home and family, and that’s just fine. You don’t need to hide yourself away, however. Emphasize your home-loving and nurturing qualities, and others will see you in a most positive light. This is an excellent cycle under which to bring more harmony and pleasant interactions to your relationships with loved ones, even if  you have to stir the pot in order to do so. Beware of a tendency to wall yourself up, though. The purpose of this cycle is to rejuvenate and reflect, not shut others out.
