August 2009 ErosScopes – Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces

Libra

With Mars still in Gemini and your adventure sector until the 25th, an adventurous spirit remains with you in August, dear Gemini. However, Venus has made a shift into Cancer and your solar tenth house, staying there until the 26th, and your romantic interests also shift from a hunger for the exotic to more practical desires. You are more attractive this month when you show your responsible, managerial, ambitious, and constant side during this Venus cycle. Having a steady and reliable sexual partner may be especially attractive to you now. A romance or beneficial friendship that begins as a business alliance is sometimes possible with this position. A lunar eclipse occurs on the 5th in your romance sector, and in the days surrounding this occurrence, there are likely to be heightened emotions and some level of drama on a romantic level. Events, feelings, and discoveries are surprising and extremely revealing now. This is the last of a series of eclipses that occurred in your 5th/11th sectors beginning in 2008, which have resulted in tests, epiphanies, fruition, and new beginnings on a romantic or creative level. Mars’ change of signs on the 25th points to a change of energetic focus, as well as shifts in attitudes towards a partner or from a partner, as Mars rules your partnership sector. Mars is moving from a restless, adventurous, and thrill-seeking position to a more practical, ambitious, and focused one. The 25-27 is a very unstable time of the month for all of us. Venus, Mars, and Mercury are changing signs, Venus (your ruler) is highlighting the recent Solar Eclipse degree and aligning with the South Node, and Mars (your partnership ruler) is in opposition to intense Pluto. Jumping to conclusions and decisions is a strong tendency, as well as issues from the past that come up in perhaps dramatic ways. Keep your head during this period.

Scorpio

Venus has just entered fellow water sign, Cancer, on the last day of July, and will stay in the sign until the 26th. The sign of Cancer is an energy that you easily understand and feel comfortable with. While romance has been very serious, perhaps even dark and intense, for you recently, this month is a little less pressured. Your curiosity is piqued and your sense of fun stimulated. Your good humor and joie de vivre is most attractive this month. Do something you haven’t done before, and you’re more likely to attract who and what you want. A philosophical discussion could take your heart forward by leaps and bounds. Different people (those who you don’t normally consider your “type”) attract you. You’re looking for new and different people and experiences. The exotic and the unknown now have more appeal to you than the familiar, and these days, a partner is on the same page. In other words, if you have the urge to go out and explore, you won’t find it too difficult to encourage a partner to come along. Mars continues in your intimacy sector, however, until the 25th, and coincidentally enters Cancer and your adventure sector just as Venus is moving out of it. The 25-27 is expected to be a time of instability for everyone, but since your ruler, Pluto, and your secondary ruler, Mars, are in opposition at that time, you might feel it more intensely. Sagittarius

Mars continues to energize your partnership sector this month, dear Sagittarius, bringing fireworks to a close partnership for those of you who are attached. Whether you are attached or not, the focus is on “other” and this can be felt to be a little draining. If you are not getting in touch with your own desires and anger, you might be projecting it onto others and meeting it through a person or event. The 12-13 is a strong period for personal energy and initiative, however, and also for any form of romantic expression. Restlessness is stirred this month, and quite a bit of activity you may not want to deal with, but absolutely have to, such as paperwork, errands, interviews, and so forth. Watch for the 17-18 and the 25-27 for conflicts in love. Someone is asserting their independence, and it might not go over very comfortably in the first period, and power games or poor decision making during the second period. Venus is now moving through your intimacy sector and will until the 26th. Deeper expressions of attachment satisfy you most under this influence. Mars enters your mysterious and deep eighth house on the 25th, just a day before Venus leaves it. This is a passionate position, but it can also stir up resentments and fears if you are not comfortable with the deeper, more intimate aspects of relating.

Capricorn

Venus has just entered Cancer on the 31st of July and will stay in this sign that’s opposite yours until the 26th. If there have been little problems in relationships recently, this position of Venus suggests that employing tact and diplomacy can help offset them. You are more sensitive than usual to subtleties in your personal environment, and all the more vulnerable as a result. The choices you make now are colored by this sensitivity, as well as a stronger than usual need for approval and harmony. Relationship opportunities, generally of a more serious nature, sometimes pop up during this transit. Certainly, your openness to sharing with a special someone is more distinctive. You are more willing to compromise and negotiate. Just a day before Venus leaves your partnership sector on the 26th, fiery Mars enters it, and stirs up the pot. The need to pay more attention to a partner’s agenda becomes very clear, and conflicts are likely if you don’t recognize this. Overall, August is strong for ironing out differences and finding a healthy balance in your relationships. However, dates to watch for are the 4-6, when a partner is likely quite emotional or needy, and especially the 25-27, when a showdown or other drama is highly likely. Aquarius

Eclipses have been working their way through your sign and the sign opposite yours, Leo, since 2008, and on the 5th of this month the final eclipse in your sign for many years to come occurs. It’s a Lunar Eclipse, and lunar eclipses always bring with them heightened emotions, surprising events or epiphanies, and fruitions. Occurring in your sign, it’s especially personal for you. In fact, all month your relationship with yourself and with a partner is a strong theme. This is a tug-of-war type of experience, which can lead to moments of indecision and uncertainty (or pure frustration), but ultimately very revealing. If you feel you’ve been misrepresented, take steps to change how you are letting yourself be seen. While the dynamics of you-me are on the table, romantic expression is not a strong theme. Pisces

Romantic impulses are strong this month, dear Pisces, with Venus in fellow water sign Cancer until the 26th. This puts Venus in your solar fifth house. The need to stand out as unique and special to someone runs high, and especially so with Eros still in your sign and retrograde all month. You are certainly getting attention for the more unusual side of your romantic passions and preferences. Eros is in your sign for an unusually long time this year, and under this influence, your passions are easily stimulated and infatuations occur more readily. With Eros retrograde now and into September, you are internalizing these energies and learning more about your desires as a result. Life is on the chaotic side this month, but mostly pleasantly so. You are reminded of your responsibilities, particularly to someone important in your life, around the 17th. The 3-6 brings a sudden awareness of your need for rest and reflection. It can also be a time when a romantic partner is especially emotional or needy. Better days for love are the 11-13 and 22.
