ErosScopes: April 2010 Love Horoscopes for Aries to Virgo

Eros was the god of erotic love. The position of the asteroid Eros in our charts points to our passion and erotic turn-ons. Mars shows us the style in which we go after what we want, including the ways in which we express our sexuality. Venus shows us some of the important “trappings” and foreplay that help us get in the mood for sex. The Moon shows our underlying emotional needs that can express themselves as sexual fantasies and needs.

While the positions of these planets and cosmic bodies in our natal charts remain static, their positions are always changing in the cosmos, activating houses and hotspots in our natal charts. The horoscopes presented here are necessarily general, as we are focusing on only the Sun sign or Ascendant, and how these sexual cosmic bodies are currently affecting the natal chart.

Also, sometimes I have more to say for some signs, simply because more astrological activity is taking place that is related to relationships for that sign this month (or because I am digressing!). This does not mean I am biased towards any particular sign.

April 2010 ErosScopes – Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, and Virgo

Aries

You continue to regain your confidence and make easier decisions this month, dear Aries. Mars continues to pick up speed and is moving through your solar fifth house, which rules romance amongst other things. Because Mars is your sign’s ruler, this means that romance, conquest, games, fun, and leisure are all big areas of focus in April. Until the 20th, your romance ruler is in your solar first house. This is a double whammy of sorts–there is no question that in the first weeks of April, you’re in need of plenty of romantic attention, and you’re likely to get just that! Venus, the goddess of love and your partnership ruler, is in Taurus from the 1-25, indicating a simultaneous need for security and stability. Perhaps a partner is in this frame of mind. So is a lover from the 20th forward. Therefore, while there is a need for exciting romantic expression, it’s wise also to remind a partner that you’re going to stick around. From the 25th forward, Venus in Gemini and your third house brings a much more communicative and lighthearted energy to your love life. Even so, Mercury is retrograde from April 17th to May 11th in your solar second house. Some of us are going to be saying all the wrong things. Keep in mind that words chosen may not reflect what’s really going on. A conflict over values may be in store for you during this period. You are building towards an exciting and action-packed spring and summer, however, and from mid-May to the first week of June, you’ll be exceptionally clear about what it is you want from your love life. Better days for love are the 20-22; a more challenging day for love is possible on the 3rd.

Taurus

Venus graces your sign from the 1-25, dear Taurus, and you are especially attractive, amiable, and gently persuasive. It can also mean that you are paying more attention to your own needs and wants, although in a pleasing and attractive way! Above all else, you are seeking harmony and balance in your life right now, and that includes your love life. You’re bound to find that challenging on the 2-3 and 23-25, as your family and professional life are likely to scream for attention, but for the most part you are getting your way in the first half of April. Mercury is traveling through your sign this month, giving you a voice and enabling you to express yourself quite clearly. It’s also strong for attracting love affairs or admirers. However, Mercury turns retrograde on the 17th–a cycle that lasts until May 11th–and this can point to complications. Something you say could be completely misinterpreted, or you might begin to keep things to yourself, leaving others a little confused as to where you stand. Romance could certainly be complicated during this period, or you may feel as if it’s either going nowhere, or moving too slowly. Take your time. The Full Moon on the 28th is likely to be an eye-opening one, when a partner could completely surprise you. Don’t dismiss any revelations that might come now, even if they don’t seem logical at first. You have the chance to improve your relationships if you do pay attention to a partner’s wants and needs. Gemini

Venus is moving through your solar twelfth house from the 1-25, dear Gemini, bringing some introspective energy to your love life for most of April. It might be that a lover is leaning on you for support now, or that you are keeping your affections at bay for the time being. Love may involve some sacrifice during this cycle, or could prompt you to re-evaluate your needs. Complications could be disconcerting or totally consuming, depending on how you handle them. You could be feeling that there is more to the story and this element of mystery keeps you intrigued. What you don’t know could be helping  you now, so don’t push it. Visualize what it is you want in your love life, and wait for better days to go after it. Introspection now when it comes to matters of the heart is part of a natural process as you prepare for a new cycle that begins on the 25th, when Venus enters your sign and stays there until May 19th. Mercury switches motion to retrograde from April 17th to May 11th, moving through your twelfth house, and this reinforces the theme of introspection and rethinking matters. Venus in your sign from the 25th forward certainly boosts your magnetic appeal, gives you more confidence to express your affections, and attracts love affairs to you. It can be hard to read others, and they you, from the 17th forward, but you are bound to have many admirers now, especially with Eros is in your sign until the 27th — an influence that boosts your desire and appeal, and can point to more sexual activity or opportunities. Partners support your professional life this month and next, so enjoy this strong energy. Stronger days for love occur on April 9th, 13th, 21st, and 29th. Cancer

Love is friendly and understanding this month, dear Cancer. From the 1-25, Venus occupies Taurus–a sign that is compatible to yours and that represents friendship, wishes, dreams, and ideals in your solar chart. Attracting love is easiest through friendships, clubs, group meetings, organizations, or parties during this cycle. Your friendly and tolerant attitude will win the most admirers now. For those already partnered, there are special ways to enhance your bond. Sharing long-term goals, hopes, dreams and wishes is one; treating your partner as a friend as well as a lover is another. These are things that we often overlook in love relationships, but which truly take a relationship forward by leaps and bounds. It’s an excellent period in your life for mending any challenged friendships, and for joining a group or association that helps you to feel part of a team. The 4-5 and 24th are especially strong days for attracting and enhancing love. Mercury is retrograde in the same sector of your chart, however, from the 17th forward, and you could run into a few communication problems with friends. You are setting your sights high this month–not afraid to go after what you want. Venus is moving through the most public and professional sector of your solar chart from the 1-25. Enhancing your powers of attraction during this cycle involve expressing your more competent and responsible side, sharing goals with a partner, making solid plans for the future, and sharing activities that make you and your partner feel secure, accountable, and appreciated. Love opportunities may very well come through your career, by word of mouth, at business parties, or other activities that mix work with pleasure. Jupiter is approaching a conjunction to Uranus, exact in June (and then again in September), and this is strong news for your love relationships. You are gearing up for an exciting spring and summer in terms of romance and partnering. Some of you will be meeting long-term partners during this cycle. Virgo
