I prefer energizing songs, like "Moving On Up" by M People. When I broke up with my boyfriend I used to listed this song for 10 times every day! Helped a lot!!

One of the things with Neptune strong and difficult in synastry is that not only is the relationship itself hard to define while it is active, the break up can also seem incomplete. Often, there is no real feeling of closure!

I wanted to leave a comment for your post on Neptune in Synastry, but for some reason I was unable to comment on that page. I wanted to get this off my chest, so I figure I post here (sorry).

The Neptune lingering thing is very true. Me and a coworker I had a fling with have almost identical Neptune contacts in synastry: His Neptune trines my Sun and is sesquiquadrate my Mercury; my Neptune trines both his Sun and his Mercury. And we pulled similar fast ones on each other. I never told him I had a boyfriend, and he never told me he got a girlfriend sometime during our fling until one day when he decided to end things with me. He is still lingering in my life unfortunately, since we still work together, and he is still in my mind, even though I don't want him there at all.

Neptune was also badly aspected in our composite chart: it was conjunct the Moon and opposite the Sun. We never really discussed what our relationship was supposed to be; it always had this air of vagueness. Our association was very on/off too; he drifted away at times and I would consequently shut him out. Then he would pull me back in, and I would take the bait...just like that example you gave! I couldn't quit him, even though I didn't really like him and had no respect for him (and he didn't have much respect for me, either). Maybe that's why fate had him fall for someone else - to get me out of an ugly situation. (Sucks for her though, since he cheated on her with me....)

Unfortunately I'm stuck working with him, but the place I work for is a chain, so I plan to take shifts at other locations in the chain as a way of putting him out of my existence for good.

I have since moved on and am seeing someone new, but he does linger a lot in my mind, sort of like sludge in a pipeline.... It's totally illogical, but I'm bent on flushing him out. And considering how my Neptune contacts his planets in synastry, I know that I have the same effect on him that he has on me, so I'm lingering in his mind as well. (Hahaha!)

The most beautiful and touching breakup/lovesong I have heard recently is "She's out of my life" by Michael Jackson. It never fails to make me cry....

Yours is so much more Zen, for certain! After posting my selections, it occurred to me how skewed they are by my own perceptions/experiences. Break-ups for me have always involved dramatic shocks, and took a lot of time to come to terms with...to arrive at the point or attainment of Zen (if at all!). Thank you sharing your selection!
