Cancer
In 2009, your major focus overall is on private matters and close personal relationships, dear Cancer. This year, the major players affecting your romantic life are Jupiter in your intimacy sector, Pluto in your partnership sector, and Eclipses affecting your partnerships.
This year, a close partner is likely to be more home-oriented and possibly possessive. For those hoping to meet a “significant other”, your best bet this year is finding a special person close to home. Many of you will be taking a casual romance to an entirely new level this year and in coming years with Pluto, the ruler of your romance sector, in your solar seventh house–the sector that rules one-to-one relationships most commonly associated with marriage partners but which can also include other close partnerships, even business partnerships!
Jupiter in your intimacy sector is bound to open your eyes to the beauty of intimate connection–not that they were closed before, but new levels or depths of intimacy are uncovered in 2009. Jupiter can work magic on your intimate and sexual relationships. Sexual opportunities are likely to abound, or your focus on one partner becomes more expansive, warm, and intimate. With Jupiter ruling the sixth house in your solar chart, this energy might play out on a work level, however, and you could be involved in some heavy research and digging this year on the job.
For those of you born early in the sign (June 21-25), Pluto is beginning its transit through your partnership sector. This is a very long term influence that is designed to completely rework your attitude towards close relationships and partnering. Depth of experience will be sought, and many of you will deepen your commitment to a significant other. Over the next few years, this influence will have the effect of ridding your life of superficiality in your close relationships. Lessons learned may not always be easy, but empowering in the end.
For all Cancers, Pluto now solidly in your opposite sign suggests a long period ahead of deep personal changes that strongly affect your close one-to-one relationships. Uranus continues to open up your eyes to new experiences, exposing you to new belief systems. Some of you (mostly those born July 11-19) are enjoying a period of unique self-expression, insightfulness, and sense of freedom. Neptune continues to add color (and sometimes confusion) to your intimate relationships. You are likely to struggle with drawing personal boundaries with a partner, particularly those of you born July 14-19. Eros is in two close partnership sectors a good part of the year, suggesting erotic impulses and themes this year.
